NOTES ON WHO IS IN CONTROL: A ‘SPECIAL REVEAL’ THAT GOD ALONE AND NOT AMERICA IS SOVEREIGN! (WITH VIDEO)

THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “AND HE WILL REIGN over the house of Jacob throughout the ages; and of His reign there will be no end…For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.” – LUKE 1:33; 1 CORINTHIANS 15:25, AMPC

KEY TERM: “REIGN!” ‘Basileuó’ [βασιλεύειν]: “From a root word meaning: ‘To reign over, to rule, to be superior, as with the king; spoken principally of the Messiah Who possesses all dominion.’” NOTE: At its heart Strong’s Greek 936 pictures the exercise of Royal Authority—someone ‘reigns,’ ‘rules,’ or ‘acts as king.’ Scripture uses the term to describe Three Chief Spheres of Government: The Rule of Earthly Monarchs; The present Rule of Sin or Grace within humanity; and, ‘Supremely, the Eternal Reign of God’s Messiah.’”

QUOTATION. “‘To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the Almighty, the Possessor of all power in Heaven and Earth, so that none can defeat His Counsels, thwart His Purpose, or resist His Will’ (Ps. 115:3). To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is ‘The Governor among the nations’ (Ps. 22:28), setting up kingdoms, overthrowing empires, and determining the course of dynasties as pleaseth Him best. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the‘Only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords’ (1 Tim. 6:15).

‘Such is the God of the Bible. How different is the God of the Bible from the God of Modern Christendom!’ The conception of Deity which prevails most widely today, even among those who profess to give heed to the Scriptures, is a miserable caricature, a blasphemous travesty of the Truth. The God of the twentieth century is a helpless, effeminate being who commands the respect of no really thoughtful man. The God of the popular mind is the creation of a maudlin sentimentality. COMMENTARY. “‘He shall reign over the House of Jacob for ever.’—Here, again, the apparent promise is that of a kingdom restored to Israel such as the disciples expected even after the Resurrection (Acts 1:6). It needed to be interpreted by events before men could see that it was fulfilled in the history of Christendom as the true Israel of God (Romans 9:6; Galatians 6:16).

‘Of His Kingdom there shall be no end.’—The words of St. Paul, in 1Corinthians 15:24-28, seem at first to point to a limit of time when the Kingdom of the Christ shall find an end, but a closer study of his meaning shows that he is speaking of that Kingdom as involving contest with the hostile Forces of Evil. The exercise of Sovereignty may, in this sense, cease when all conflict is over, but it ceases by being perfected, not by passing away after the fashion of earthly kingdoms. The delegated or mediatorial Headship of the Christ is merged in the absolute Unity of the Monarchy of God…

‘HE [ALONE] MUST REIGN!’—’It is a Moral Consequence. TEACHING

If ever there was a Common Thread that weaves its way through all that I have taught in the past five or so years, it is found right here at the top of Mt. Sinai around the year 1446 BC. That is when most Bible scholars believe Yahweh gave the Decalogue to Moses on Tablets writ upon by His own fiery hand.

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT. “Then God spoke all these words: ‘I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. You shall not make for yourself any idol, or any likeness (form, manifestation) of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth [as an object to worship]. You shall not worship them nor serve them.

For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine], visiting (avenging) the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the fathers on the children [that is, calling the children to account for the sins of their fathers], to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing graciousness and steadfast lovingkindness to thousands [of generations] of those who love Me and keep My commandments.” – EXODUS 20:1-6, AMP

The Key Concept in this unmistakably severe First Command to all who dare to follow Almighty God: “For I, the Lord your God, am a JEALOUS God!” The Hebrew term used here is:

‘QANNA’ [קַנָּ֔א]. “Refers to the Character of God whose zealousness for what belongs solely to Him shall not tolerate the worship of any other (false) gods, which arouses His Jealousy and Anger in severe Judgment of the idol worshipers.”

Therefore, one of His Names is “EL QANNA” – ‘The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who is Vigilant over you!’

A Summary Statement from the classic Concordance by JAMES STRONG (1890) says this: “‘The word describes the Ardent, Protective Zeal Yahweh displays toward His Covenant People and His own Honor.’ Rather than suggesting petty envy, it portrays the intensity with which God safeguards the exclusivity of the relationship He established through [His] Covenant [with His people].”

AMERICAN PHILANDERERS. The closest classic word for “Philanderer” is a “Libertine,” defined by Noah Webster’s classic Dictionary (1828) in this way: “A licentious, dissolute man who lives without restraint of the animal passion; one who indulges his lust without restraint; one who leads a dissolute, licentious life; a rake; a debauchee.”

I submit to you that the vast majority of the AMERICAN WHITE CHURCH is nothing less than this: ‘A Philanderer who joins in Spiritual Betrayal (Harlotry) with the Political God of this world, President Donald John Trump, the American Antichrist.’

THE GREAT BETRAYAL

In order to develop this Thesis further, I turn to a sharply worded essay by WILLIAM SPIVEY, a graduate of Fisk University, a Black liberal arts college in Nashville, Tennessee, who writes about Politics, History, Education, and Race. The title of his essay:

“The Gospel According to MAGA: Why Christian Nationalism Isn’t a Contradiction” (Medium, Sep. 27, 2025; edited).

OPEN. “‘Christianity and the MAGA Movement are linked in conversation all the time.’ Those opposed to MAGA say there is nothing God-like in the behavior on the Far Right. How can they possibly be upholding the Ideals of Christianity while showing so little concern for ‘the least of us’ in society? MAGA followers swear they are adhering to Christian Values and Ideals, which makes them right in all that they do. It seems impossible that God would support separating families, putting people in cages, and blowing people up in boats without a trial. I submit that God wouldn’t likely approve of any of these things, but Christianity doesn’t have a problem with any of them.”

ORIGINS. “‘In America, many of the acts I feel God would be opposed to are perpetrated against a wide range of minorities.’ Are they not God’s children as well? The Religious Philosophy that allows ‘others’ to be discriminated against evolved in the Catholic church and was quickly adopted by other major religions. In 1452, Pope Nicholas V issued ‘Dum Diversas,’ authorizing Portugal to conquer non-Christian lands in Africa. In 1493, Pope Alexander VI expanded on that notion. He issued a Papal Bull known as ‘Inter Caetera,’ granting Spain the Divine Right to claim lands ‘not previously possessed by any Christian owner.’ This Decree, part of what would become known as the ‘DOCTRINE OF DISCOVERY,’ laid the theological and legal foundation for centuries of European Conquest, Colonization, and Racial Violence. It was not merely a Religious Document — it was a ‘Blueprint for White Christian Supremacy,’ sanctifying the theft of Indigenous lands and the subjugation of Nonwhite peoples across the Globe.”

AMERICA. “In 1513, Spain laid claim to Florida, after earlier claiming vast territories in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Portugal claimed Brazil in 1500 based on the Treaty of Tordesillas. The Treaty completely ignored the millions of people already living in established communities in the Americas. The Treaty stipulated that any lands with a ‘Christian king’ would not be Colonized [i.e., Conquered!]. Of course, by that time, Christianity had not spread broadly in the Americas. This meant Spain and Portugal could claim any land they managed to conquer in the Americas. The resulting Conquest and Colonization proved disastrous for Civilizations, such as the Inca, Taino, and Aztec, along with thousands of other communities throughout the Americas.”

COLONIALISM. “The Doctrine of Discovery was adopted by European empires, including Spain, Portugal, France, England, and the Netherlands, as a legal and moral Justification for Colonization. Its impact was global: In Africa, it rationalized the ‘Slave Trade’ and the carving up of the continent during the Scramble for Africa. In Asia, it justified European control over trade routes and the imposition of Christian missions. In Australia and New Zealand, it underpinned settler colonialism and the dispossession of Aboriginal and Māori peoples. ‘In the AMERICAS, it became the ideological engine behind Genocide, Land Theft, and Racial Caste Systems.’”

CONQUEST. “‘The Doctrine’s Central Premise — that land not ruled by Christians was “empty” and available for Conquest — erased Indigenous sovereignty and humanity.’ It transformed entire Continents into blank slates for the White Christian Empire. In America, the British, French, and Spanish were only concerned about the rights of each other, engaging in several wars for the right to control the land and natural resources. They never once considered the rights of the Indigenous people or the imported or domestic-bred Slaves from Africa. ‘The Constitution provided NO RIGHTS to the Enslaved person or Native American and few to Women, in lock step with [their version] of Christianity.’”

DESTINY. “‘America went even further, asserting God gave white men “MANIFEST DESTINY” to take all the land West of what they already occupied until they reached the Pacific Ocean.’ America, France, and Britain agreed upon the Northern Border. The Southern Border with Mexico was sorted out in a series of treaties, wars, and territorial negotiations. America could theoretically have expanded farther into Mexico, except as Senator John C. Calhoun remarked, there were ‘too many Mexicans.’”

PLYMOUTH. “‘America was built on RELIGIOUS IDEOLOGY.’ The Massachusetts Bay Puritans believed they were founding a ‘City Upon a Hill,’ a Biblical Metaphor from Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount. John Winthrop, in his 1630 Sermon aboard the Arbella, declared that the New Colony would be watched by the world and judged by its moral example. This framing cast America as a ‘Divinely Ordained Experiment in Righteousness and Governance.’”

ENSLAVEMENT. “‘Never lost among the early French, British, and Spanish settlers was the idea that God authorized them to take everything from the Natives and those they didn’t even see as humans.’ They were either seen as someone to take land from or as the cheap labor force to increase their wealth. In 1676, enslaved Black people, Black indentured servants, and White indentured servants joined forces under Nathaniel Bacon to burn down Jamestown, Virginia, ironically for the right to rid the area of Native Americans. The response to Bacon’s Rebellion was to eliminate indentured servitude and establish Enslavement as the economic model for America.”

THEOLOGY. “Pro-Slavery theologians cited Genesis 9:25–27, claiming that Africans were descendants of Ham, cursed to be ‘servants of servants.’ This interpretation was used to Racialize Biblical Servitude, framing Slavery as Divinely sanctioned and hereditary. Slaveholders argued that enslaving Africans allowed them to ‘Save souls through Christian Conversion.’ THE LOGIC was that physical suffering was acceptable if it led to Eternal Salvation. This twisted theology allowed Christians to reconcile Slavery with their Faith, claiming moral superiority while profiting from human bondage. Passages like Ephesians 6:5 (‘Slaves, obey your earthly masters’) and Paul’s Letters were used to demand obedience and justify ownership. Some interpreted Jesus’s silence on slavery as tacit approval.”

MAGA. “The phrase ‘Make America Great Again’ is more than a political slogan — it’s a Theological Claim. Beneath the red hats and rally chants lies a Belief System that fuses Nationalism, nostalgia, and Christianity into a CIVIL RELIGION. For many MAGA adherents, being Christian is not merely a matter of personal faith — it is a badge of cultural belonging, a moral license, and a Justification for Political Dominance. This ‘Fusion’ didn’t happen by accident. It is the product of decades of deliberate messaging, theological distortion, and racialized myth-making. ‘MAGA Christianity is not rooted in the Teachings of Jesus Christ but in a selective reading of Scripture that sanctifies Hierarchy, Exclusion, and Conquest.’”

LEGACY. “To understand why MAGA followers consider themselves Christian, we must first recognize that ‘Christian’ inthis context often refers less to Spiritual Practice and more toCultural Identity. It signals allegiance to a Vision of America as a Divinely Chosen Nation — one that is White, Patriarchal, and Militarized. This Version of Christianity is deeply embedded in American history. From Puritan settlers who saw themselves as a ‘City upon a hill,’ to Slaveholders who used the Bible to justify bondage, Religion has long been used to sanctify Power. ‘MAGA updates this Tradition for the 21st century, replacing Biblical Humility with Political Vengeance.’”

CONCLUSION. “‘MAGA has not merely borrowed Religious Language — it has Co-opted Christianity into a Political Theology, one that sanctifies Power, Exclusion, and Nostalgia as Divine Virtues.’ By recasting Patriotism as Piety and elevating Political Figures to near-Messianic status, the Movement has transformed Faith from a Spiritual Practice into a tool of Cultural Dominance. Scripture is selectively weaponized, churches become campaign venues, and salvation is rebranded as National Restoration. In this Framework, being Christian is less about following Christ’s Teachings and more about defending a Mythic America — White, Righteous, and Ordained. ‘THE RESULT is a Civil Religion that baptizes Cruelty, canonizes Grievance, and calls it Holy. The people they trample, either to obtain or maintain power, they never considered [fully] human in the first place.’”

DK’S NOTE. As I have been increasingly proposing and arguing – America has never, ever been what we have been taught she is. We have indeed been instructed since birth in a MYTHIC AMERICA that more resembles the Roman Empire of Brutality and Conquest than the City on a Hill of Christ’s Beatitude (Matthew 5:14).

LAST THOUGHTS

After ten long and massively destructive years under the Dark Pall of Donald Trump’s presence in the American and World Order, I have recently reached out (and back to) former colleagues and students to see if they will now listen. However gently I may have tried, so far:

‘No takers!’

As I pondered this nearly unfathomable condition of the American White Christian in 2025, even those closest friends I had enjoyed for years, ‘ A Word’ came to mind.

“THRALL.” The term ‘Thrall’ has several meanings, most notably referring to ‘A Slave or a State of Servitude.’ Historically, a thrall was a slave or serf in Scandinavian and Viking societies. The word comes from the Old Norse ‘þræll.’ In this social structure, thralls were property and could be bought or sold but also had some protections under the law. More broadly, to be ‘in thrall to’ someone or something means: ‘To be in a State of Servitude, Captivity, or under their complete Power. This can refer to a physical or emotional state, such as being in thrall to one’s emotions.’”

Upon reflecting on this ‘Word’ that came seemingly out of ‘Nowhere,’ I am convinced that it is in fact a WORD OF KNOWLEDGE from the Holy Spirit as accurate description of the state of over 83% if the American White Church. And it has a terrifying Theological Root System.

^“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will DEPART from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron …

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the MYSTERY OF LAWLESSNESS is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

And then THE LAWLESS ONE will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this reason God will send them STRONG DELUSION, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 1 TIMOTHY 4:1-2; 2 THESSALONIANS 2:5-12, NKJV

THE INTERPRETATION. This section alone could comprise an entire Book of Instruction, but apparently the King wanted us to close on these absolutely vital thoughts. My Summary therefore follows as our Final Conclusion.

APOSTASY. Jesus Christ and the Apostles uniformly prophesied: ‘In the Last Days there will be a Great Falling Away of followers of Christ.’

LAWLESSNESS. This widespread Spirit of ‘Antinomianism’ (i.e., ‘against law’) will occur at the End of History as we have known it and shall increasingly characterize the Social Disorder that accompanies the End Times.

ANTICHRIST. The Biblical Man of Sin, literally, ‘The Lawless One,’ shall emerge from this global Milieu of Moral Disorder and Chaos, and begin to conquer the nations, first by Deception and Intrigue, then by Satanic Power and Military Force.

SEDUCTION. The Great Apostasy will be comparatively easy for the Man of Sin to exploit since the great majority of Christians and their leaders were not versed in the Truth enough to withstand his Deceptions. ‘Thus they exchanged the True Messiah for this False, or the Anti-Christ.’

DELUSION. Most terrifying of all, when their Rebellion (both individual and collective) reaches a certain point in the Mind of God, He sends them, as Final Punishment: “Strong Delusion” (πλάνης, ‘Plané:’ error, fraudulence, straying from Orthodoxy).

CODA. I must end on the soberest of notes, according to Sound Doctrine, beloved, and here it is, best I can render it. THE QUESTION: ‘Can one who has Departed from the Faith and received the Divine Delusion sent by God by rejecting the Truth recover by Repentance, and return to the fold?’

Theologians do not agree.

AI OVERVIEW. [YES]. “According to Christian Theology, a believer can escape the ‘Strong Delusion’ by actively cultivating a love for the truth found in Scripture, relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance, and living in a close relationship with God.”

HEBREWS 6:4-6. [NO]. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.”

GRACE VS. SEVERITY. I cannot adjudicate so severe a Final Verdict, so I leave you with Two Views – one from the Classic Theologians, and the second from our Contemporary Scholars. From which YOU MUST CHOOSE.

ALBERT BARNES. “Such is the sense which would strike the great mass of readers.
