PRÉCIS ON THE PERSONAL PAIN OF CONTENDING WITH A BROTHER IN THE DAY OF ANTICHRIST

SCRIPTURE. “Those who set aside the law [of God and man] praise the wicked, but those who keep the law [of God and man] struggle with them.” – PROVERBS 28:4, AMP

KEY TERM: “STRUGGLE.” ‘Garah’ [יִתְגָּ֥רוּ]: “A primitive root, ‘To grate, to anger, contend, meddle, stir up, strive.’ NOTE: “‘Garah,”’depicts the deliberate stirring of emotion or action—most often of hostility. COMMENTARY. “‘They that forsake the Law’ — That live in contempt of, and disobedience to, God’s Law; ‘Praise the wicked’ —Honour their persons, freely and familiarly associate themselves with them, and approve of their sinful practices: All which proceeds from their great likeness to them. ‘But such as keep the Law contend with them’ — ‘Are so far from praising or applauding them, that they SEVERELY REBUKE THEM, and to the utmost of their power oppose them in their wicked enterprises.’” – JOSEPH BENSON, Notes on the Holy Bible, 5 vols., 1811-1818; edited

THE EVENT. Using no names of course, here is what transpired in my life on October 6, 2025, between myself and a dearest friend and colleague of over 30 years. He is a professor of law and I was working at the same university as a professor or public affairs journalism. I have always regarded this brilliant brother as a man of impeccable integrity in matters of both law and faith.

Until now.

He and his wife have been watching many of my Video Commentaries for a couple of years now, and so I thought we were pretty much on the same page. But I knew something was up when he asked for a Facetime call to discuss something he had been wrestling with since the assassination of CHARLIE KIRK on September 10, 2025, in Orem, Utah on the campus of Delta Valley University.

The long and the short of it, he said that three individuals were on the right path and pulling away from the Trump Orbit: Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, and to some extent, Megyn Kelly – according to several sources he consulted. We discussed all this by text several times including that hourlong Facetime call, and sought common ground, somewhat clumsily.

As a footnote, this was taking place during an eye injection gone awry that I get every 6 weeks to stabilize vision in my left eye. So, while in considerable pain and distraction, I tried to make sense of what this nearly lifelong Christian friend was getting at. He mentioned the Funeral Affair, and how he heard several individuals speak rightly and lovingly of the ostensibly fallen potential Hero of the Faith.

CURRENT STATUS. Just yesterday morning in the context of prayer, I sensed a leading to send him three substantially undeniable articles, plus Scripture, related to the danger of his path toward what I viewed as reconciliation with the Kirk Mission and Legacy.

I have not yet heard back from him.

I am in the process of once again deeply contemplating ‘Walking away’ from an important relationship in our family – Again. As I continue to assemble and instruct the Peloton Confessing Fellowship, I simply cannot have serious doubters in our midst concerning the wretchedness of various constituents to, “The Trump Effect.”

I have attached the links to two YouTube posts at the bottom of his essay for your consideration. One is from a Black pastor and the other from a Latina woman with roots in Guatemala. Both offer impassioned critiques of the Trump Regime toward many issues, including Immigration and the ICE Raids on Minority populations in America.

I also include a link to a reasonably objective BBC Overview of Charlie Kirk that I believe is helpful in determining how all of us ought to discern and Biblically respond to what I consider to be a ‘New Gospel According to Nationalism.’

Thanks for weighing in. You should know that I am very near to walking away from the friendship entirely, but I am awaiting his final response to my final effort to warn him.

Therefore, beloved: MAY GOD SPEAK so clearly to us all that there shall be no doubt as the proper, Christian course in this deeply troubling, Day of Antichrist.
