PRÉCIS ON THE ACCIDENT: GOD’S PRUNING SHEARS AS FINAL PREPARATION (WITH VIDEO)

1. THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and RENEW their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” – ISAIAH 40:31, AMPC

KEY TERM. “RENEW.” ‘Chalaph’ [ יַחֲלִ֣יפוּ]: “To change; to spring up, go forward, strike through [some difficulty or crisis].” NOTE: “חָלַף (‘chalaph’) conveys the movement from one state to another—passing by, exchanging, replacing, ‘SPROUTING AFRESH,’ or being renewed. Its twenty-eight Old Testament appearances trace a line from ordinary changes of garments to the sweeping renewal of creation itself.”

QUOTATION. “‘God uses broken things.’ It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. ‘It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to Greater Power than ever.’” – VANCE HAVNER, Consider Him, 1936; edited

COMMENTARY. “‘Mount up’—(2 Sam. 1:23). Rather, ‘They shall put forth fresh feathers as eagles are said to Renovate themselves.’  The parallel clause, ‘Renew their strength,’ confirms this. The eagle was thought to moult and renew his feathers, and with them his strength, in old age … ‘The praying, waiting child of God is strong in the Lord’ (Ps. 84:7; Mic. 4:5; Heb. 12:1). – JAMIESON, FAUSSETT & BROWN, Commentary, 1871; edited

1. THE STORY

On Tuesday August 4, 2026, just after 12 noon that day, I was driving from my dentist’s office to the bank a few blocks away to make sure I had sufficient funds for the procedure. As I pulled up behind a new Ford Bronco, the woman ahead of me and I both waited for the traffic to clear before turning left. When it did, we both moved slowly forward when she suddenly jammed on her brakes, and I crunched into her.

Without all the sordid details, I did not comport myself well. As I saw the hood crumple in front of me – just after I had sunk several thousand dollars into this 2021 Kona with 140,000 miles on it, I instantly knew it would be considered totaled and I exploded with, “No damn way!” I then asked the woman why she suddenly stopped, and her curt reply: “Well, sir, I had to stop for the traffic” (which did not exist).

After immediately giving her my license and insurance information, seeing I was upset, she refused to give me hers, and that she was calling the police. This intensified the conflict since by law she must reciprocate, but I now understand my being upset made her uncomfortable. The policeman came, interviewed each of us and exchanged the necessary documents and I was cited for “following too close,” and summoned to court later this month.

THE WALL. Things escalated further when I called the wrong insurance agent (two agents with the last name “Good,” remarkably) and was told I did not have an account there. The entire matter ramified throughout the people involved – police, insurance personnel, auto body repair shop, and my poor attitude made things worse.

With other matters in the background of my weary old soul (the collapse of the Church and State), the death threats, finances, and the constant pressures we all experience, ‘I hit that Proverbial Wall,’ and pretty much was hobbled for the better part of three days. The Lord’s Grace and Power withstanding it to not become even worse.

I went back and submitted written apologies to all concerned for my frustration, we still await the final outcomes all around as we look for the ‘DIVINE REORDERING’ [“This was not you, son”] of our entire family and business affairs. The car was, as expected, judged a total loss by the Insurance Company, and we then scrambled to come up with a sensible Plan of Action.

However: This Story is still being written, and it applies to ALL OF US. Stay tuned.

1. FINAL EXAMS

“He [the Antichrist] will speak words against the Most High [God] and WEAR DOWN [‘bela’ (יְבַלֵּ֑א), ‘afflict, consume, spend’] the saints of the Most High, and he will intend to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, [two] times, and half a time [three and one-half years].” – DANIEL 7:25, AMP

I would be very surprised if many or even most of you were not going through some sort of Gauntlet in this hour. The sorts of things that drain us of our spiritual energy, and distract us from our course. And if you are anything like me (may God forbid it!), your first response to The Trial may be to either: (1) Blame the Devil, or (2) Blame Yourself.

But I submit to you there may be a Third Cause of this always surprising and painful Ordeal that will be met with either PUNISHMENT or REFINEMENT.  That ultimate outcome is more up to Us than it is to God.

Let’s take a closer look at what I am saying, from Jesus’ own mouth.

FINAL PRUNING. “I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] PRUNES [‘kathairó’ (καθαίρει), ‘purge, purify, or cleanse without spot or stain’] so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].” – JOHN 15:1-2 AMP

• COMMENTARY. “Jesus is the Vine, and God is the Vinedresser, Who carefully plants and cares for the branches with ONE PURPOSE: ‘That they may bear fruit.’ The branches are all those who claim to be followers of Jesus. The ‘Fruitful Branches’ are True Believers who, by their Union with Him, produce much fruit. Being [fully] United with Jesus means drawing our energy and nourishment from Him (see Colossians 2:6-7). ‘But those who don’t bear fruit – those who make only a Superficial Commitment to Jesus – will be SEPARATED from the Vine. Unfruitful Followers are useless and will be cut off and tossed aside [into the Eternal Fire].”  – RONALD A. BEERS, Life Application Study Bible, 2022, p. 2405; edited

• “TAKES AWAY.” ‘Airó’ [αἴρει]: “To lift, to take up, TO REMOVE, to carry away.” NOTE: The verb appears 101 times in the Greek New Testament, expressing TWO MAIN ACTIONS: ‘Lifting or Carrying something upward, or Removing or taking something Away; [i.e., to cut off from the rest of the community].’ Context determines whether the sense is Positive (raising, bearing) or Negative (eliminating, disposing).”

• CHRIST’S WARNING. “If anyone does not remain in Me, he is THROWN OUT like a [broken off] branch, and withers and dies; and they gather such branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned” (JOHN 15:6, AMP). DK: Commentators hold varied views, debating whether the verse describes Loss of Salvation,’ ‘Professing Believers’ who lack true faith, or the ‘Loss of a Fruitful, Rewarding Life.’ CALVINIST: They were ‘Not Regenerate’ in the first place, thus they areTossed into the Firefor Destruction. ARMINIAN. They were ‘Disobedient Disciples’ who by their sustained failure to abide, Lose their Salvation and are Destroyed in Hellfire. ‘Choose well here, beloved. Your Life depends on it. Selah.

THE REST OF THE STORY. To put the Saga of the Accident to full rest, turns out my car that suffered nothing more than a crumpled hood (you saw the picture), indeed was a Total Loss according to the Insurers. ‘Game Changer.’ Our family was thrown into Last Stage Planning, and it wasn’t pretty.

There were at first good conversations and agreements about where I would purchase a replacement automobile at the best price, who would then get what car, who would pay for it and the insurance depending on who drove what vehicle. Etc. Etc.

Without the gory details came a MESSAGE FROM GOD:

‘I am making all things ready, and your house is not fully in order and ready for My Return. Therefore, I am requiring some changes to be made, and soon, with the understanding that it will be My Spirit that will implement them, with your free will agreement.’

Or words to these effects. I am no prophet, but my wife and I both ‘heard’ this Word, somewhat differently, on the night of Wednesday August 5, 2026. You might make note of that date should this entire Enterprise be a Word for more than just Kelly House. Selah.

1. ABIDING AS SURVIVAL

Though I have said it more than once before, earlier this year, it would by all appearances be truer than ever that ‘Play-Church is Over!’ As we watch President Trump’s Desperation churn out more Lawlessness, Brutality in our streets, and International Chaos through Wars and plans for still more wars, it is far past time to TAKE JESUS SERIOUSLY.

Or perish.

To take us where we all need to travel, therefore, I borrow from an admittedly strong view of the Eschatological Moment. It is penned by the Editors of an online journal titled, End Time Living in their essay, “Essential Key to Facing the End Times: Abiding in Christ, Our Best Defense for the Coming Tribulation” (ret. Aug. 11, 2026; edited).

• OPEN. “‘Successfully navigating the End Times will be impossible without Continual Abiding in Jesus Christ.’ Abiding is an enduring commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him, believing Him, obeying Him, and loving Him. Abiding is staying in a constant, close relationship with Jesus Christ. It is dwelling and remaining with Him, conscious of His continual presence in our lives. And it includes the understanding that, without Jesus, we can do nothing. It involves turning to Christ in every situation we face and trusting in Him alone for the strength that works through our weaknesses.”

• DECEPTION. “The level of Deception will be enormous. The Bible says that in the Last Days there will be a ‘Strong Delusion’ that will ‘Lead many astray.’ It is paramount that we keep God’s Word and His Commandments (John 14:15, John 14:21). Moreover, as we Abide in Christ, we become partakers of Knowledge and Wisdom through the leading of the Holy Spirit. We will need this during the End Times. The Bible Book of Daniel says that it is partially sealed from understanding until the End Times. ‘Daniel will be Unsealed and made available to those who abide in Christ as the End Times unfold.’”

• KEYS. “‘Abiding in Christ’ is our Best Defense for facing the End Times.’ Unwavering Faith and Spiritual Strength that comes only from a ‘Deep Relationship with Jesus,’ will be required to overcome the challenges and temptations that are on the horizon. ‘We will need God’s Protection and Wisdom to get through the turbulent times ahead.’”

• SPIRITUAL RESILIENCE. “‘By Staying Close to Jesus,’ we access His Power and Strength, enabling us to Persevere through difficult situations and resist spiritual attacks.”

• OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WILL. “Abiding in Christ means: ‘Aligning our Lives with the Word of God,’ which provides a Clear Path to follow during challenging times.”

• PEACE & STABLITY. “‘A Close Connection with Jesus brings inner Peace and Stability,’ which is crucial when facing external turmoil.”

• FRUITFULNESS. “Just as a Branch connected to a Vine bears Fruit, Abiding in Christ allows us to: ‘Produce Good Works and positively impact the world around us.’”

“BOLDNESSS THROUGH BROKENNESS.” This very simple little Spiritual Laundry List shall become absolutely vital for us to follow in the Last Days of our particular Race that God has called us to run for Him. And for others who are lost in The Darkness.

WE are to be Champions of Truth, Love and Hope, beloved.

“ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! SHINE (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [Oh Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” – ISAIAH 60:1-3, AMPC

REMEMBER:  The hard part is the responsibility of The King’s Spirit to mold us into such Beacons of Light – but He requires ‘Our Willingness’ to make it happen. It is not automatic, without our 100 percent Commitment and Desire to truly, fully Serve Christ in these Last Times.

THE PROMISE. To close our brief conversation, a Personal Anecdote once again. When I was just beginning the Circuit Ride Mission in the year 2020, it was truly rough going. Hardly any audience for my teachings. Lots of folks telling me (mostly indirectly) that I was pretty much who and what The Church could not listen to.  

I struggled for two more years to stay the course, but hope was foundering somewhat. THEN THIS.

• FEBRUARY 15, 2022. “ENLARGE [ִיrachab’ (הַרְחִ֣יבִי) ‘to broaden, make open wide, expand’] ‘the site of your tent [to make room for more children]; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; Lengthen your tent ropes. And make your pegs (stakes) firm [in the ground].” – ISAIAH 54:2, AMP

• AUGUST 12, 2026. YouTube subscribers have grown from a few hundred to nearly 9,000, with new subscribers coming in every week. LinkedIn hits (or “impressions”) have moved from a United States outreach of dozen or so to at least five continents now averaging around 300,000 per week. Facebook continues to reach about 250-400 views per post.

Not huge perhaps, but I tell you dear friends: ‘We ARE making some difference!’
