THE BATTLE IS GETTING REAL: NOTES ON THE BURGEONING AMERICAN CULTURE WAR OF 2022 – PART V: THE MYSTERY

PART V: THE MYSTERY – EPHESIANS 6:19-20

SCRIPTURE. “And pray for me, that words may be given to me when I open my mouth, to proclaim boldly ‘the mystery of the good news’ [of salvation], for which I am an ambassador in chains. And pray that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly and courageously, as I should.” – EPHESIANS 6:19-20

QUOTATIONS

TOLKIEN. “[Gandalf] It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him … Always remember, it’s simply not an adventure worth telling if there aren’t any dragons.” – Attributed to J.R.R. Tolkien, author of ‘The Hobbit,’ or ‘There and Back Again,’ 1937; edited

EINSTEIN. “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates ‘The Mysteries’ of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this Mystery each day.” — Albert Einstein, “Old Man’s Advice to Youth: ‘Never Lose a Holy Curiosity,'” ‘Life Magazine,’ May 2, 1955, p. 64; edited

WINNER. “Here is the thing about God. He is so big and so perfect that we can’t really understand Him. We can’t possess Him, or apprehend Him. Moses learned this when he climbed up Mount Sinai and saw that the radiance of God’s Face would burn him up should he gaze upon it directly. But God so wants to be in relationship with us that He makes Himself small, smaller than He really is, smaller and more humble than His infinite, perfect Self, so that we might be able to get to Him, a little bit.” ― Lauren F. Winner, ‘Girl Meets God: On the Path to a Spiritual Life,’ 2002; edited

  1. FIRST THOUGHTS

I cannot remember the first time I thought about God.

I do know it was early toward the start of my now very long life. There was a small King James Bible given to me when I was but a wee lad of about 4 or 5, with the inscription, “From Baba.”

My guess was that she was a long forgotten relative, or babysitter, or neighbor. But the mystery of it was around 30 or more years later when I found it midst our boxed belongings, it had some verses already underlined in pencil, though I cannot recall which ones. But all that to say:

The Point: Jesus Christ was insisting Himself upon my life in the gentlest yet most persistent ways early on indeed. That, beloved, is His manner with us all. Selah.

EINSTEIN’S MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR. This brilliant Jewish scientist wrestled with the Idea of God all his days as well – some leading him close, and others, quite far away. A wonderfully careful book by MAX JAMMER tells us some of the deep structure fascination with God that Einstein expressed throughout his extraordinary life.

Here is a summative quotation that speaks richly to his Jacob-like, though somewhat distant, relationship with the Godhead. From ‘Einstein and Religion: Physics and Theology,’ 1999; edited.

I am not an Atheist, and I don’t think I can call myself a Pantheist … Then there are the fanatical Atheists whose intolerance is of the same kind as the intolerance of the Religious fanatics and comes from the same source … There is ‘harmony in the Cosmos’ which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognise, yet there are people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me to support such views.”

Another more telling quotation of his from science writer EUGENE MALLOVE for the ‘Washington Post’ on December 22, 1985, is very nearly poetic.

“The most beautiful experience we can have, is, ‘The Mysterious.’ It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed … A knowledge of something we cannot penetrate, our perceptions of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty, which only in their most primitive forms are accessible to our minds — it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute True Religiosity; in this sense and in this sense alone, I am a deeply religious man.”

To be clear, I am not at all trying to insinuate Einstein to be something he was not: a believer. He was not likely an ‘observant’ Jew nor a ‘born again’ Christian. But in the parlance of the Four Worldview Categories I presented in ‘The Sixth Seal,’ I would place him well inside the second system I have labeled, Classical Deism (p. 2017, p. 47). That means he subscribed to a Universe created and ordered by God, but was not personally related to His Creation, as both committed Jews and Christians believe.

MY POINT. The issue I raise here is not so much Einstein’s faith, but rather the utter awesomeness of thinking Big Thoughts about the Universe, with its stunningly elegant Laws and precision, breathtaking vastness, and the even more fascinating – indeed, intoxicating – nature of its ‘lifeforms.’

The pinnacle of which is Man.

A being created so magnificently as to be officially positioned as ‘Imago Dei’ – made in the very image and likeness of God. That alone constitutes a huge piece of the Mystery of the Universe which we shall explore even more deeply in the following pages.

  1. WHAT IS MAN?

“Lord, what is man that You take notice of him? Or [the] son of man that You take account of him?” – KING DAVID, PSALM 144:3, AMPC

As I embark upon this massive question, I am quickly reminded of the Apostle Paul, who was inarguably the most pious, fruitful and brilliant of all the apostles. He lived a life of supreme integrity (his dark and bloody past notwithstanding), and yet he fairly screamed this towering personal, theological and philosophical Lament.

THE AGONY OF PAUL. It is long but well worth the time and space, as it goes to the heart of much of our discussion today about, in this iteration, ‘The Mystery of Being Human.’

“We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh [worldly, self-reliant—carnal and unspiritual], sold into slavery to sin [and serving under its control]. For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity].

Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want to do, I am no longer the one doing it [that is, it is not me that acts], but the sin [nature] which lives in me.” – ROMANS 7:14-20, AMPC

Now to be clear: this is ‘Everyman’s Struggle’ – male and female, young and old, religious and non-religious, rich and poor, colorless and of color. Its power, eloquence and breathtaking inclusiveness speaks to each of us down in the deeps, where our own personal agony resides and wrestles.

THE DIVINE PARADOX. So is this the internalized part of the ‘Great War’ of which we write and speak and endlessly debate its deeply personal, exquisitely agonizing, and ‘paradoxical link’ to the stupendously high position that our Creator and Father has raised us.

“It has been solemnly and earnestly said in a certain place, ‘What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You graciously and helpfully care for and visit and look after him? For some little time You have ranked him lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands, For You have put everything in subjection under his feet.’ Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left nothing outside [of man’s] control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him [man] …

Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice? Do you not know also that we [Christians] are to judge the [very] angels and pronounce opinion between right and wrong [for them]? How much more then [as to] matters pertaining to this world and of this life only!” – HEBREWS 2:5-8; 1 CORINTHIANS 6:2-3, AMPC

At this point many of us are tearing our metaphorical hair out, as did Paul, about this gaping ‘Schism’ running right down the very Middle of Man. One of the great Christian thinkers of the Modern Era captured it beautifully, I think.

ALEXANDR SOLZHENITSYN. “If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing Good and Evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

During the life of any heart this line keeps changing place; sometimes it is squeezed one way by exuberant Evil and sometimes it shifts to allow enough space for Good to flourish. One and the same human being is, at various ages, under various circumstances, a totally different human being. At times he is close to being a devil, at times to sainthood. But his name doesn’t change, and to that name we ascribe the whole lot, good and evil.

Socrates taught us: ‘Know thyself!’

Confronted by the Pit into which we are about to toss those who have done us harm, we halt, stricken dumb: It is after all only because of the way things worked out that they were the executioners and we weren’t.” ― ‘The Gulag Archipelago, 1918 – 1956: An Experiment in Literary Investigation,’ Books I-II, 1978; edited

So now to The Answer to this breathtaking ‘Mystery of God and Gospel’ that often racks the soul and spirit of the best of us.

  1. THE TEACHING

As I write these words on January 27, 2022, America’s Holocaust Memorial Day, I think of Jewish physician, DR. BERNARD NATHANSON’S powerful observation as a former abortionist doctor, mercifully turned from Darkness to the Light of Christ later in his career.

In describing our Modern Holocaust of Abortion (65-70 million dead American children to date), he wrote the following.

“The Abortion Holocaust is beyond the ordinary discourse of morality and rational condemnation. It is not enough to pronounce it absolutely Evil. [It] is ‘a New Event,’ severed from connections with traditional presuppositions of history, psychology, politics and morality. It extends beyond the deliberations of reason, beyond the discernment of moral judgment, beyond meaning itself … Abortion is a ‘Mysterium Tremendum,’ an utter Mystery to the rational mind — a Mystery that carries with it not only the aspect of vastness but the resonance of terror, something so unutterably diabolic as to be literally unknowable to us.” – STEPHEN WYNNE, “A Century of Blood,” ‘Church Militant,’ November 6, 2017; edited

So did Dr. Nathanson discover THE ANSWER to the Apostle’s Great Lament – and our own, beloved – after personally presiding over 60,000 abortions:

“O unhappy and pitiable and wretched man that I am! Who will release and deliver me from [the shackles of] this body of death? O thank God! [He will!] through JESUS CHRIST (the Anointed One) our Lord! – ROMANS 7:24-25, AMPC

ALBERT BARNES COMMENTS. “‘I thank God’ – That is, I thank God for effecting a deliverance to which I am myself incompetent. There is a ‘Way of Rescue,’ and I trace it altogether to His mercy in the Lord Jesus Christ. What conscience could not do, what the Law could not do, what unaided human strength could not do, has been accomplished by the ‘Plan of the Gospel;’ and complete deliverance can be expected there, and there alone. This is the point to which all his reasoning had tended; and having thus shown that the Law was insufficient to effect this deliverance. He is now prepared to utter the language of Christian thankfulness that it can be effected by the Gospel. The superiority of the Gospel to the Law in overcoming all the evils under which man labors, is thus triumphantly established.” – ‘Notes on the Old and New Testaments,’ 1884, edited

So it seems, this last installment is marching us straight toward ‘LA ÚNICA RESPUESTA [The Only Answer] to America’s Crisis of both Church and State that swirls all around us like an F5 Tornado.

THE MYSTERY RESOLVED. So do we happily now turn to the KEY IDEAS contained in the Scripture from Ephesians 6:9-10.

  • PROCLAIM BOLDLY. Here is Our Royal Charge: To share The Answer to all who are willing to hear us. I say again: ‘Willing!’ [cf. Matthew 10:14, 13:58]. From the Greek word, ‘Parrésiazomai’ [παρρησιάζομαι]: “Freedom and frankness [boldness] in speaking; to be frank in utterance, or confident in spirit and demeanor; saying freely all one thinks, all that he pleases to say, with great confidence; plainness, perspicuity of speech; openness in a public setting; fulfilling the duty of the evangelist proclaiming Man’s last hope to remove the guilt, fear and anxiety of life.”
  • THE MYSTERY. Here is the classic reference to the fundamental nature of ‘The Gospel’ (Good News) of Jesus the Christ. From the Greek term, Mustérion [μυστήριον]: “‘The secret doctrine’ (of salvation); a mystery, secret, of which ‘initiation’ is necessary; in the NT: the Counsels of God, once hidden but now revealed in the Gospel or some fact thereof; the Christian Revelation generally; particular truths or details of the Christian Revelation; those secret politico-religious doctrines formerly locked up but now disclosed  to God’s sons and daughters; held in the utmost reverence and respect.” DK: The very ‘Mind of God’ on all matters, as ANSWERS to every problem or challenge Man might face. – cf. 1 Corinthians 2:16

MATTHEW HENRY. “The Gospel was ‘a Mystery’ till made known by Divine Revelation; and it is the work of Christ’s ministers to declare it. The best and most eminent ministers need the prayers of believers. Those particularly should be prayed for, who are exposed to great hardships and perils in their work. Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith. By peace, understand all manner of peace; peace with God, peace of conscience, peace among themselves. And the grace of the Spirit, producing faith and love, and every grace. These He desires for those in whom they were already begun. And all grace and blessings come to the saints from God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Grace, that is, the favour of God’; and all good, spiritual and temporal, which is from it, is and shall be with all those who thus love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity, ‘and with them only.’” – ‘Exposition of the Old and New Testaments,’ 6 vols., 1708-1710; edited

The reason I love to use the phrase, “The Mind of God,” is because that is the way my Dad used to put it, who came to Faith well into his 70s. A tough skinned, tender hearted Irishman and World War II Navy submariner, an already wonderful man was transformed into a Hero of mine forevermore.

The Mind of God. Containing all the Secrets  of the entire Cosmos, given to us by Grace, by Faith, and yes, through Obedience, and with eternal, nearly inexpressible Gratitude.

  1. THE REMNANT

As we reflect on the nature of the ‘Mystery of the Gospel,’ some writers posit thatChristianity is a special “Cult of Gnosticism.”  Too many over the centuries have presumed that, but with little understanding of what ‘A Cult’ actually is.

THE EDITORS at ‘Christian Rationality’ (ret. Jan. 27, 2022; edited), an online apologetics site, concisely show us that Orthodox Christianity is anything but a cult, through their excellent review of FIVE CHARATERISTICS OF A RELIGIOUS CULT.

  1. OVERLY AGGRESSIVE EVANGELIZATION. “Granted, there are many Christians who are too aggressive in their attempts to share their faith, not to mention times in history when people were forcibly converted. Yet forced evangelism and/or conversion are not supported by the Bible.”
  • FALSE TEACHING: HYPEREXCLUSIVISM. “Of course, whether or not basic Christianity is true or false is a topic of much debate, and this site is devoted to providing reasons to believe in its truth. At any rate, when any group claims to have an exclusive hold on truth, we tend to immediately doubt the claims of that group.”
  • BRAINWASHING. “Does Christianity forbid asking hard questions about its doctrines? Again, while some individual Christians have frowned on skeptics, inquisitive children and others who ask hard questions, this is not something prohibited by the Bible, but rather encouraged by it. Jesus not only answered questions from his disciples and nonbelievers, He even brought up hard question[s] of His own” [cf. Einstein, Curiosity vs. Skepticism].
  • FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION. “Unfortunately, there are Christian organizations whose primary focus is fundraising and who may even resort to deception in order to line the pockets of their leaders. This practice is directly opposed to the teachings of the Bible, which condemns greed and trusting in wealth, giving under compulsion and exploitation of the poor. Despite what such organizations might claim, the Bible doesn’t promise material riches to those who follow God or make large donations.”
  • EMOTIONAL EXPLOITATION. “Do Christians target young adults, the elderly and others who might be vulnerable to exploitation? Christians often do focus evangelistic efforts on a particular segment of society. Is this exploitation? It might be if the evangelists used some of the techniques listed above to bully or deceive their audience, or if their teaching is false and ultimately harmful … If Christians are following Biblical principles when evangelizing, then they are letting people know in a gentle and respectful manner that God cares for them and is able to meet their needs.”

DK ON MAGA. Though somewhat outside the purposes of this Commentary, one cannot avoid the nearly prima facie evidence that Donald Trump’s Christian MAGA Movement is a ‘bona fide cult.’ Thus are all of its devoted members, Cultists.

Dozens of experts and articles say so (and I wholly agree), but this one stood out for me.

In a ‘Daily Beast’ piece written and published by author and journalist MOLLY JUNG-FAST on July 19, 2021, her thorough though irreverent analysis captures my own conclusion in the subhead of her essay:

“As a twice-impeached, one-term historical freak show of a president, his only hope is to turn his Movement into a Cult, worshipping himself. It’s the Trump Steaks of Religion … Seriously, literally, this is a Cult. Donald Trump, who regrets not ordering the White House flag to be flown at half-staff to mourn Ashli Babbitt, the rioter and QAnon believer killed while storming the U.S. Capitol, is determined to create a narrative that his idiot insurrectionists are in fact part of an army of ‘holy MAGA warriors.’”

Strong language appropriate to the most heinous Spiritual and Political Insurrection in modern American history. And all, to this very day, permitted by or ignored by the American Church.

THE CHRISTIAN REMNANT. Yet have we mercifully heard it said: God always preserves a ‘Faithful Remnant’ out of any Era of Betrayal. Here is a representative definition of that group from the EDITORS of the highly regarded online Commentary, ‘Got Questions,’ revised on January 4, 2022 (edited).

“A Remnant is a left-over amount from a larger portion or piece, whether it is food, material from which a garment is fashioned, or even a group of people. Although remnants could be looked upon as worthless scraps, and many times are, God assigned high value to those of His people whom He had set aside for holy purposes, those He labels as ‘Remnants’ in several places in the Bible …

Of course, the most blessed Remnant is that of ‘the True Church,’ the body of Christ, chosen out of the millions who have lived and died over the centuries. Jesus made it clear that this Remnant would be small when compared to the number of people on the earth throughout history. ‘Many’ will find the way to eternal destruction, but ‘few’ will find the way to eternal life (Matthew 7:13-14). We who believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior can, with great peace, rest in the fact that we belong to ‘The Remnant.’”

AMERICA’S SPIRITUAL RUBICON. I make no bones anymore about my most severe warning that those Christians who have signed on to Donald Trump’s MAGA/QANON CULT have effectively joined the ranks of the Apostates, bound for eternal destruction in Hell.

The following is taken from the non-Canonical text of ‘The Apocalypse of Peter,’ likely written around 100 A.D., but not by the Apostle. It was part of the Muratorian Fragment, which contained a list of most of the New Testament manuscripts and quoted often by the Church fathers.

It dealt mostly with false teachers and doctrines. This is its Description of Hell.

HELL. “Each punishment in Hell is fitted to the crime. Murderers were ‘cast into a certain strait place, full of evil snakes, and smitten by those beasts’ while the souls of the murdered looked on with satisfaction. Those who blasphemed and slandered the righteous were forced to ‘[gnaw] their own lips… and [receive] a red-hot iron in their eyes.’ The rich who refused the orphans and widows were made to wear ‘tattered and filthy’ garments and to walk endlessly over ‘pebbles sharper than swords or any spit, red-hot.’”

With that in mind and heart, here are the severe and exclusionary Words of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul regarding this sobering matter.

“He who is not with Me [once and for all on My side] is against Me; and he who does not [unequivocally] gather with Me scatters … You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them].” – MATTHEW 12:30; 1 CORINTHIANS 10:21, AMP

IN SUM. Church: You are either ‘Remnant,’ or you are ‘Apostate’ – you cannot, beloved, by any possible theological stretch be both! For Christians, there is ‘no  neutral ground,’ as Dr. Schaeffer used to often say it.

Thus, my Binary Hermeneutic: It is the nature of the Canon from Genesis to Revelation, and it is inviolate.

  • LAST THOUGHTS

In all of this surmise and deep structure doctrinal review of Spiritual Warfare, I am finally and joyously reminded of a Letter of Paul to the Church at Philippi about ‘The Great Why’ of it all.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to ‘what lies ahead,’ I press on toward THE GOAL to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” – PHILIPPIANS 3:13-14, AMP

RAISON D’ETRE. We have always heard it, wisely said, whether in secular or religious contexts, that it is important to live and labor for a ‘Higher Purpose’ than for the narrow pursuit of one’s personal satisfaction. The Big Idea here is the discovery and pursuit of a noble, Transcendent Reason for one’s life, demanding courage and sacrifice, a sacerdotal root for a significant, contributory existence.

  • THE PRIZE. Here the Greek word Paul used is, ‘Brabeion’ [βραβεῖον], or: “Properly, the prize awarded to a victor, i.e., the reward (recognition) that follows triumph; the award to the victor in the games; metaphorically, of the heavenly reward for Christian character; that which is taken from an enemy in war; that which is taken in combat; also, that which is obtained or offered as the reward of contest; finally, that which is valued highly; estimated to be of great worth or esteemed.”
  • COMMENTARY. “The Apostle here is letting us see ‘The Secret’ of his own life, and telling us what made him the sort of Christian that he was. He counsels wise obliviousness, wise anticipation, strenuous concentration, and these are the things that contribute to success in any field of life. ‘Christianity is the perfection of common sense.’ Men become mature Christians by no other means than those by which they become good artisans, ripe scholars, or the like. But the misery is that, though people know well enough that they cannot be good carpenters, or doctors, or fiddlers without certain habits and practices, they seem to fancy that they can be good Christians without them.” – ALEXANDER MACLAREN, ‘Expositions of Holy Scripture,’ 1905; edited

TRUTH STRANGER THAN FICTION. Einstein, Paul the Apostle and the Scottish expositor MacLaren are all nearly dumbstruck and forever changed by the stunning breadth and grandeur of God’s Cosmic Order. It is what absolutely captured DR. FRANCIS SCHAEFFER’S frequent references to ‘The Really Real,’ and that has obsessed countless philosophers, scientists, poets and outdoorsmen for a thousand, generations.

The eminent theologian and fierce abolitionist ALBERT BARNES described it this way, as he too wrestled with the magnificence of the Heavenly Vision.

‘‘Of the high calling of God’ – Which is the end or result of that Calling. God has called us to great and noble efforts; to a career of true Honor and Glory; to the obtainment of a bright and imperishable Crown. It is a Calling which is ‘high,’ or ‘upward’ – (ἄνω anō) – that is, ‘which tends to the skies.’ The Calling of the Christian is from Heaven, and to Heaven … He has been summoned by God through the Gospel of the Lord Jesus to secure the Crown. It is placed before and above him in Heaven. It may be his, IF he will not faint or tire or look backward. It demands his highest efforts, and it is worth all the exertions which a mortal can make even in the longest life.”- ‘Notes on the Old and New Testaments,’ 1884; edited

AN EARLY GLIMPSE. I find it fitting to close with a personal story of my very first year walking with this Jesus, and what He told me of the glories awaiting us at the End of our Race.

It was in 1980 just months after my spiritual conversion, that I was walking to the then small bookstore on the campus of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. I happened to be reflecting on my childhood fascination with solar systems and space and stars and the like. Absolutely obsessed with it all.

It was just so very big and so very grand, that I could barely hold it in since I was a boy of only 9 or 10, gulping in many pages about it from the 10 volume ‘World Book Encyclopedia’ my parents had just bought me around 1954. I just wanted to know, ya’ know?

Then the Word. As I walked down some small steps to the entrance of the UOP Bookstore, I heard Words as clearly as if He were standing right next to me:

“Son, you will see the stars.”

I cannot recall if I stopped in my tracks, or teared up, or just stood there, recalling that I was new at hearing ‘The Voice’ in my spirit that has become more familiar to me of late. But at this moment, I was given just A Glimpse of what awaited me – and us all – when we Translate into literal, powerful and eternal ‘cosmic beings’ at ‘The Parousia.’

And beloved, I cannot wait!

THE MYSTERY UNCOVERED. So do I close with the words of Paul once more, in these magnificent, blood-stirring thoughts.

“None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, ‘What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].’

Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].” – 1 CORINTHIANS 2:8-10, AMPC

Nothing more need be said, at least for now, as to Why the Most High God has called us to things so vast, so high, so wondrous, so mighty and so noble, except for this very PERSONAL PRAYER.

‘O Lord of all, great and mighty King of the ageless Ages, Sovereign over all the star fields and galaxies and endless spaces and all the limitless In-Between, please HaShem, beloved Yehoshua and purest Ruach ha Kodesh – Remember me when you come to fully launch Your Kingdom, even if I am consigned to the lowest chamber at the very bottom of your Palace. Only let me join You in the Beauty and Splendor of the Forever and Ever, to serve you with all my indescribable Newness of Being. And I shall praise you for all the Eternity you have fashioned for us, to learn of You in that World Without End. Amen.’
