THE SIXTH SEAL II: A PREWRATH COMMENTARY REDUX ON THE RISE OF DONALD TRUMP AND THE DECLINE OF THE AMERICAN ORDER, 2017-2021

BACKGROUND. This entire project began on the early morning of MAY 17, 2015. I remember being in my usual devotion time that day in my home office, when came that familiar ‘Voice’ that on occasion spoke plain and bold:
“Write the book now!”
The idea for writing a book on Last Things had been percolating in me for many years, but I just couldn’t seem to muster the energy to make it happen. Until that morning. For reasons most of you will understand, it was as if God’s Fire was lit, and I began writing the draft of the First Edition that very day, completing it 90 days later on August 17, 2015.
Then a publisher from a small house (Stonebridge Publishers) came to me and asked if I would submit a much-revised draft and of course I did, happily. They published that book in 2017, but it had no legs as they had no infrastructure for promoting it, and it limped along at a few hundred copies, and I pretty much forgot about doing much else with it.
THEN CAME TRUMP. I was working as a fulltime, online Professor of Digital Communication at Liberty University during these years, having begun teaching there in 2006. I enjoyed wonderful collegiality with my fellow faculty, and students consistently gave me high ratings each semester for my classes. JERRY FALWELL, JR., president of the University, read my work from time to time, and he and his wife Becki and I were on friendly terms.
Then nearly eight years ago to this very day, on JANUARY 16, 2016, Falwell was the first Evangelical leader to announce his aggressive support for the presidential candidacy of DONALD JOHN TRUMP, and all our lives were about to change, radically. By the time he led 1,000 other Christian leaders to New York the following June to get on board (which they nearly all did, eventually), The Trump Juggernaut was officially ignited.
Records show that a backroom deal was forged that went something like this, as Trump struck a Faustian Bargain with the American Church:
“If you will overlook all your misgivings about me, then I promise you all to support and protect Christian Evangelicals.”
THEN CAME DK. And the rest, as they say, is history writ large and dark and bloody since that seditious day. As I began to write columns against Donald Trump, I was visited with a cold, clinical email in MARCH 2016 ending my ten-year tenure at Liberty, with no legitimate reason given then, or since.
Pretty clear to me the reason why. Selah.
After three years from 2017-2020 of catastrophic loss for our family, and two more ‘releases’ from Christian organizations, I became a pariah, a spiritual castaway (not fallen away!) as I wandered at times frantically seeking employment, somewhere, including attempts at becoming a telemarketer, a Greyhound bus driver, and numerous other occupations that would help pay our massive debts that accumulated over this time.
Around MARCH 2020, a primitive Vision of the DIGITAL CIRCUIT RIDER began to form, so I began praying for a minimal patronage that would allow me to write fulltime. That happened four months after my third firing, when God told me that He was proud of me for not collapsing into the pragmatic mush that the Church had overwhelmingly decided to accept – and has ever since.
Sometime around SPRING 2022, I heard that familiar ‘Voice’ begin to say: “Again!” He would later explain that the Nation, the Church, and the entire International Order had dramatically shifted ground since the Presidency of Donald Trump from 2017-2021. Thus began the Second Edition of the original book, The Sixth Seal II, to capture the monumental changes that have taken place in those years, and where they are unavoidably leading America in the rest of this decad
THEN CAME THE BOOK. Christian Faith Pubishers has worked with me for two years now to get this book to print. Its official release date is, I found out recently: NOVEMBER 22, 2023. I was stunned since that is the 60th anniversary of the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the focus of my entire Master’s Degree Program at California State University from 1968 to 1970 – the real beginning of my life-long pursuit of Political Communication as a career focus.
The book is now available for PREORDER at Amazon and Barnes & Noble (see links below) in both paperback and hardback.
