PRÉCIS ON THE DESPERATE NEED FOR SPIRITUAL ORDER IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD

SCRIPTURE. “The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ‘The sons of Israel shall camp, each by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ households; they shall camp around the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), but at a distance.’” – NUMBERS 2:1-2, AMP

KEY TERM: “STANDARD.” ‘Degel’ [דֶּגֶל]: “From a primitive root – ‘To flaunt, raise a flag [of identification]; to be conspicuous.; an ensign of war.’ A staff with a flag or colors. That which is established by Sovereign Power [or acceptable cultural understanding] as a rule or measure by which others are to be adjusted.”

QUOTATION. “Those who lie and cheat, but do not believe what they are doing to be wrong, may be living according to ethical standards. They may believe, for any of a number of possible reasons, that it is right to lie, cheat, steal and so on. COMMENTARY. “‘The order of the tribes in their tents.’ – The tribes were to encamp about the Tabernacle, which was to be in the midst of them. It was a token of God’s gracious presence. Yet they were to pitch their tents afar off, in reverence to the Sanctuary. The children of Israel put themselves in their posts, without murmuring or disputing; and as it was their safety, so it was their beauty. It is our duty and interest to be contented with the place allotted to us, and to endeavour to occupy it in a proper manner, without envying or murmuring; without ambition or covetousness.

DK. Beloved, following this rather unusual passage and interpretation of what I believe the Spirit of God is teaching us today, I very nearly want to just leave it there, with little rendering by me. But just a few comments that ought, by now, to be obvious to all.

The American Church is being held guilty by the Sacred Text of preaching “Another Jesus” and “Another Gospel” for lo these many years now. A distinctly ‘American Gospel’ virtually marinated and simmered in so much “Grace and the accumulation of Goods” that it’s hardly recognizable anymore as a reflection of the True God of the Canon. The entire idea of The Lion of the Tribe of Judah has been deconstructed and reinvented as a Tender Little Lamb who would dare not even raise its voice against evildoing in his own houses.

CODA. When RUSSELL KIRK penned his conservative classic, Roots of American Order in 1973, he noted that the First Need of every human being was, ‘The Need for Order.’ Were he alive today, he would surely be appalled at the massive moral and ethical Decay and Disorder in God’s House today.

As am I, beloved, as am I.

But vastly more than this, Almighty God is more than appalled, I surmise. No, He is Outraged at what we have done to His Doctrines in the form of Unholy Alliances with the purveyors and doctrines of demons, beloved. As Yeshua ben David makes His final preparations to Return to catastrophically Restore Order, we’d do very well indeed to get our own houses in proper order.
