PRÉCIS ON THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD TO THOSE WHO FEAR HIM IN THE LAST DAYS

SCRIPTURE. “He has given food and provision to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever and imprint it [on His mind].” – PSALM 111:5, AMPC

KEY TERM: “COVENANT.” ‘Berith’ [בְּרִיתֽוֹ׃]: “Word rom an ancient root meaning, ‘To select in order to feed, give meat to or make provision for;’ a confederacy or compact; also, a treaty, alliance or agreement; to be in league with; serves as a constitution or ordinance; in this context, ‘a Divine Pledge;’ promises made on condition of obedience.” WEBSTER (1828): “In theology, the ‘Covenant of Works,’ is that implied in the commands, prohibitions, and promises of God; The Promise of God to man, that man’s perfect obedience should entitle him to happiness. This do, and live; that do, and die.’”

QUOTATION. ‘When God sets His heart on you, you will be tried often.’ But the longer and harder your affliction, the more deeply God has set His heart on you, to show you His love and care.”  DAVID WILKERSON, God Is Faithful: A Daily Invitation into the Father Heart of God, 2012; edited

COMMENTARY. “‘He hath given meat to them that fear Him.’ – Or a ‘prey,’ alluding to the spoil of the Egyptians; or to the manna; corporeal food, daily bread, which they that fear Him shall not want, Psalm 34:9, spiritual meat, such that endures for ever. The Flesh of Christ, which is meat indeed. The Word and Ordinances, in which are milk for babes, and meat for strong men. Savoury meat does God give His people, such as their souls love, and the world knows nothing of; all is given, and freely given, and in plenty.

God is faithful to all His Promises, nor can He fail, or deceive.’ He is all wise and foreknowing of everything that comes to pass; He never changes His mind, nor forgets His Word; and He is able to perform, and is the God of Truth, and cannot lie; nor has He ever failed in any one of His Promises, nor will He suffer [allow] His faithfulness to fail; and this is a strong argument to hold fast a profession of faith.” – JOHN GILL, Theologian and Author, The Cause of God and Truth, 1735-1738; edited

DK’S TAKE. When I first drafted this on Friday September 20, 2024, the old professor was still in the Throes of Trial, and early that morning received this Word of Exhortation. Water to a thirsty soul, beloved. But here it is only a few days later, following my 80th Birthday that started low and quiet, but then gradually rose to one of the best days in memory.

‘Why?’ Best I can figure, THREE REASONS.

  1. GOD ANSWERS PRAYER. A good number of you along with my wife and myself have been praying fervently, sometimes tearfully, for a resolution to some of the strife in our community to be assuaged, and then resolved. ‘God heard us!’
  2. SPIRIT OF FORGIVENESS. There is in this little group of spiritual warriors a sometimes fierceness of conviction that gets us at odds with one another; our fires sometimes burn hot. But to the credit of the character of these who do battle, there is a gentleness and humility of soul that allows us to go back and redress our differences. ‘This is happening, beloved!’
  3. A NOBLE MISSION. In the oft quoted wisdom by President Abraham Lincoln when asked if God was on the Union side. Lincoln retorted: “I am not at all concerned about whose side God is on, for I know the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord’s side.”  JOE WHEELER, Abraham Lincoln, a Man of Faith and Courage: Stories of Our Most Admired President, 2008; edited

CODA. Without an ounce of presumption here my friends, this little band of brothers and sisters is United in Resistance to the Spirit of Antichrist and Rescue of the Lost. Unto life or unto death, PAUL THE APOSTLE clearly admonishes us strongly:

Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good.” – ROMANS 12:9, AMP

It is high honor indeed to be a part of a Fellowship of followers of Messiah that labors so faithfully and fervently to uphold this Divine Mandate. And in return, receives His Daily Supply as we require it for these Last Times.
