GOD’S FINAL WARNINGS TO A PHILANDERING AMERICA: NOTES ON THE CITIES OF DUST THAT REJECT THE MESSIAH, PAST AND PRESENT – A PRÉCIS   

SCRIPTURE. “Woe (judgment is coming) to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented and changed their minds long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes [to show deep regret for sin].” – LUKE 10:13, AMP

• WOE!  ‘Ouai’ [οὐαί]: “Alas! Woe! (an expression uttered in an intense grief or denunciation); must be regarded either as an accusative of exclamation; genitive of the evil the infliction of which is deplored; divine penalty or calamity that is a threat.”

• PHILANDERING. “[Synonymous with adultery, actual or spiritual]. In a scriptural sense, all manner of lewdness or unchastity, as in the Seventh Commandment; idolatry, or apostasy from the true God; specifically, to have casual or illicit sex with a person or with many people; to ‘step out’ or otherwise cheat.”

COMMENTARY: 10:1-16. “Christ sent the seventy disciples, two and two, that they might strengthen and encourage one another. The Ministry of the Gospel calls men to receive Christ as a Prince and a Saviour; and He will surely come in the power of His Spirit to all places whither He sends His faithful servants. But the doom of those who receive the grace of God in vain, will be very fearful. ‘Those who despise the faithful ministers of Christ, who think meanly of them, and look scornfully upon them, will be reckoned as despisers of God and Christ.’” – MATTHEW HENRY, 6 vols., Exposition of the Old and New Testaments, 1708-1710; edited

DK. I argue that since 2016 the American Church and the Nation more broadly have violated their Covenant with Jesus Christ by linking Him to or replacing Him with a political leader in the person of Donald Trump and his associate false “gospel” of Nationalism.

If our Church leaders do not soon depart from their Accommodation, either by silence or affirmation, it will be to us as it was with Sodom and the other “Cites of Dust” recorded in Luke 10. I suggest in more detail that 14 of the 21 Judgments from the Book of Revelation (Trumpets and Bowls) shall visit every nook and cranny of our ailing Republic if we do not Repent.

It is coming, beloved. He is Coming! There is very little time left to us to do the right thing.
