NOTES ON DIVINE HATRED: ANOTHER FORGOTTEN IMITATION OF CHRIST IN FAVOR OF IMITATING TRUMP – (WITH VIDEO)

1. THE TEACHING

SCRIPTURE. “Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.” – PSALM 139:21-22, AMPC

KEY TERM: “PERFECT HATRED.” ‘Sinah’ [שִׂנְאָה]: “‘To perfectly hate people or things;’ exceedingly hateful; hatred so intense and violent that it can lead to killing or dissension and unrest between people; also indicates sexual revulsion; utter comtempt [contextually, toward something or someone who is violently opposed to God]; profoundly odious; implicates punishment proportionate to the violation [cf. Lex Talionis]; God particularly hates those who love cruelty and wickedness, and those religious services of His own people when they are false and hypocritical [and He acts toward them accordingly, ‘as enemies!’].”

QUOTATION. “God hates sin not just because it violates His Law but, more substantively, because ‘it violates Shalom,’because it breaks the peace, because ‘it interferes with the way things are supposed to be.’” ― CORNELIUS PLATINGA, JR., Not the Way It’s Supposed to Be: A Breviary of Sin, 1996; edited

COMMENTARY. “‘Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate Thee?’ – This is in the consciousness of the Psalmist a proof of his own real piety, as derived from his feelings ‘toward those who were the enemies of God.’ The word ‘hate’ here, as applied to them, must be understood in the sense that he [vehemently] disapproved of their conduct; that he did not desire to be associated with them; that he wished to avoid their society, and to find his friends among men of a different character … 

‘And am not I grieved with those that rise up against Thee?’ – The expression here – ‘grieved’ – explains the meaning of the word ‘hate’ in the former member of the verse. It is not that hatred which is followed by malignity or ill-will; it is that which is accompanied with grief – pain of heart – pity – sorrow [and yes, ‘anger’]. So the Saviour looked on people: Mark 3:5 :‘And when He had looked round about on them [the Pharisees] with “anger,” being “grieved” for the hardness of their hearts.’ The Hebrew word used here, however, contains ‘also’ the idea of being disgusted with; of loathing; of nauseating … The feeling referred to is ‘anger’ – conscious disgust – at such conduct; and grief, pain, sorrow, that people should evince such feelings toward their Maker.” – ALBERT BARNES, Notes on the Old and New Testament, 1834, 1884; edited

DK. But the impotent American Gospel has demanded that we never, ever become angry for any reason. Ever! Leaving us as ‘Doctrinal Eunuchs,’ beloved, and nothing less. Selah.

II. THE LOST CANON

Consequently, I was deeply grateful to the Lord for leading me to this, as you and I are in a desperate struggle to deal with a most profound and wholly justifiable ‘Outrage’ at what the Church has done by her treachery against Christ – and us all. We have indeed been taught for generations that we are never, ever to hate anyone or anything. Such false teaching from our timid pulpits and ‘makes God a Liar,’ therefore constituting one of the most serious heresies in Church history.

And it is rampant, beloved! Thus, we turn to WILLIAM MACDONALD’S superb review of the ‘things’ and the ‘people,’ again, that God hates, or utterly despises (Believer’s Bible Commentary, 1995, p. 806; edited).

PROVERBS 6:16 (NKJV). “These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him” (cf. vv. 17-19).

1. A PROUD LOOK. “‘Pride is dust deifying itself.’ The valet of an emperor said: ‘I cannot deny that my master was vain. He had to be the central figure in everything. If he went to a christening, he wanted to be the baby. If he went to a wedding, he wanted to be the bride. If he went to a funeral, he wanted to be the corpse.”
2. A LYING TONGUE. “‘The tongue was created to glorify the Lord. To lie is to pervert its use for that which is ignoble.’ Is it ever right for a believer to lie? The answer is that God cannot lie, and He cannot give the privilege to anyone else [No, neither the Hebrew midwives lying to Pharaoh in Exodus 1:15-21, nor Rahab’s lie lie to protect the Israelite spies in Joshua 2:5, though the outcomes saved lives. ‘The Ninth Commandment in Exodus 20:16 is inviolable!’].”
3. HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD. ‘Every human life is of infinite value to God.’ He proved this by paying the Infinite Price at Calvary for our redemption. The institution of Capital Punishment (Gen. 9:6) reflects God’s attitude toward murder.”
4. A HEART THAT DEVISES WICKED PLANS. “‘This, of course, refers to the mind that is always plotting some evil.’ The Lord Jesus listed some of these wicked imaginations in Mark 7:21-22 [adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, deceit, lewdness, and evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness – ‘All these come from within and defile a man!’].”
5. FEET THAT ARE SWIFT IN RUNNING TO EVIL. “‘God hates not only the mind that plans evil but the feet that that are eager to carry it out.’” [When the heart grows hard and dark, it becomes the Devil’s Playground].
6. A FALSE WITNESS WHO SPEAKS LIES. “Here it is a matter of public testimony in a court of law. [‘perjury, libel’]. In verse 17b it was more a matter of everyday conversation [‘slander’].”
7. ONE WHO SOWS DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN. “The striking thing here is is that ‘God ranks the one who causes divisions among brethren with murderers, liars, and perjurers!’ How many of the seven sins listed above can you associate with the Trial and Crucifixion of our Lord?” Selah.

‘ABOMINATION!’ God’s Word for all this taken from the Hebrew, ‘Toebah’ [תּוֹעֵבַה]: “Something utterly detestable, disgusting, and (morally) reprehensible [to God]; an abhorrence esp. as concerns ‘idolatry;’ identifies all of that judged as ‘unclean;’ that which is profoundly repugnant to the Lord, including dishonest business practices; from a root word, ‘Taab’ [תַּעָב] which the RSV translates as, ‘Prostitute!’”

The Final Section will discuss the dramatic – and ‘Faith-shattering implications’ of the American Church’s sustained and wanton practice of nearly all of these Abominations. What follows is not for the faint of heart and soul.

III. LAST THOUGHTS

Now then, why would I spend so much time detailing What God Hates for a largely Christian audience, beloved? Many of you already know: Because this is nearly an isomorphic description of DONALD TRUMP’S NATIONALIST CHURCH, that’s why! Verse for verse, line for line, word for word, twisted breath for breath, it is a virtual Doctrinal Template for what we see taking place in over 80 percent of our American churches every day.

Selah. Selah.

THE SOUL OF TRUMP CHURCH. During my years as professor, I taught Leadership Studies at the graduate level beginning with the following First Principle: ‘The Leader’s worldview perspective, moral framework, and strategic choices and maneuvers will ultimately define the entire organization and thereby constitute the very Soul of all its members who obey.’

With that I mind, I turn now to a superb analysis by Christian psychologist, DR. CHRIS THURMAN, writing for Salon in a piece titled, “My Challenge as a Christian Psychologist: Help Evangelicals to See Trump for Who He Really Is” (Mar. 29, 2024; edited). I would quickly add, per my thesis:

“And to See Who Trump Christians Have Become!” What follows, therefore, is a BULLET POINT SUMMARY of Dr. Thurman’s main ideas.

• FIRST TREMORS. In 2015, I was a Republican. However, I became increasingly alarmed by the political rise of Donald Trump and the Evangelical support he garnered. It was clear to me at the time that Trump was intellectually, psychologically, and morally unfit for office and that it was ‘delusional’ for anyone, especially Evangelicals, to think otherwise.”

• SECOND WAVE. “[By 2016] My alarm only grew as increasing numbers of Evangelicals threw their support behind Trump with his selection of MIKE PENCE, a devout Christian, as his running mate. It was at that time I began to write opinion pieces criticizing Trump and challenging Evangelicals to stop buying into his self-glorifying lies. With very few exceptions, my op-eds fell on deaf ears.”

• CURRENT IMPACT. “Fast forward to today [2024], and the unfitness of Trump to occupy the Oval Office is only worsening as is the ‘Delusional View’ many [or most] Evangelicals have of him. MAGA Evangelicals, like lambs led to the slaughter, continue to believe the things that come out of Trump’s mouth, something deeply concerning given that he is widely seen as a pathological liar.”

• THE DELUSION. “Before going any further, I want to define ‘Delusional’ as I’m using it in this piece. A person being delusional is ‘characterized by or holding false beliefs or judgments about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary.’ It is my contention that many [or most] MAGA Evangelicals are Delusional in that they continue to see Trump in an extremely positive light even though who he is would suggest seeing him in an extremely negative one.” 

• THE THEOLOGY. “One of the most important passages in the Bible for understanding Trump, one that MAGA Evangelicals overwhelmingly ignore, is PROVERBS 6:16-19.  It says, ‘There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.’ From my perspective, ‘this is a word-for-word description of how Trump operates.’”

• TRUMP INDICTMENT. “Trump has ‘haughty eyes’ in that he proudly believes he never does anything wrong. Trump once said he had never asked God for forgiveness because he hadn’t done anything bad enough to warrant it. Trump has a ‘lying tongue.’ During his presidency alone, he told over 30,000 lies, and the frequency of his lying appears to have only increased since he left office.  Trump’s gross mishandling of the COVID Crisis qualifies as the ‘shedding of innocent blood.’ Tens of thousands of people died from COVID [the CDC reports 1,187,509] who didn’t have to, all because Trump didn’t want the numbers to make him look bad. Trump is ‘quick to rush into evil’ (affairs, tax evasion, sexual assault, defaming others, scam schools and charities, inciting an insurrection). Trump ‘bears false witness’ against others in that he frequently attacks people’s character, especially the character of those he feels the most threatened by, in an effort to distract from how little he possesses. Finally, Trump ‘stirs up conflict’ wherever he goes, Disunifying our country every step of the way.

• MAGA CHURCH. “Within the Body of Christ, ‘there appears to be little willingness to reason anymore,’ and unbridled emotions seem to be running the show.  We are deeply divided as to whether or not supporting Trump is wise or foolish, Biblical or Unbiblical. But this is part and parcel of how Trump operates—sow discord and division among groups of people, even Christian groups he claims to be a part of, and ride that division all the way to the White House for his glory and not for the glory of God”.

HOW DARE WE! After eight years of the most intense study of these Religio-Political Phenomena, I remain incredulous at what I see transpiring in the Church and in the Nation, beloved. We are watching nothing less than a sustained, willful, and fully fatal ‘Symbiotic Suicide’ taking place. For reasons that we can in part guess, but in other ways, only remain dumbfounded at what is happening all around us.

Dr. Thurman’s reference to THE DELUSION that has taken hold of Evangelical Christians is worth a severe drill down, since those seduced by it stand to lose everything. I said, ‘everything,’ my friends! Here is how the Great Apostle described it.

“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is

according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ‘And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.’” – 2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-12, NKJV

CODA. Beloved of the King, it is all here spelled out in ‘Indisputable Revelation’ about who the Antichrist is, and what he and the Apostate American Church are about to ‘execute’ (think Project 2025 here). And I choose that last word very carefully indeed.

The brilliant NOAH WEBSTER defines it this way:

“Literally, to follow out or through. Hence, to perform; to do; to effect; to carry into complete effect; to complete; to finish. We execute a purpose, a plan, design or scheme; we execute a work undertaken, that is, we pursue it to the end … To carry into effect the law, or the judgment or sentence on a person; to inflict capital punishment on; to put to death; as, ‘to execute a traitor. To kill.’”

On TRUMP’S OWN WORDS do I hang a Final Indictment to hammer home the viciousness of what is coming to our country just a few months from now.

THE QUESTION. How, I beg all you Pastors, Priests and Church Leaders, can you possibly sign on to this? How shall you explain this to The Messiah, face to face, when He stands you before His Judgment Seat? Permit me to answer that Question for you:

‘You cannot! I say again within earshot of our King: You cannot!’

I close with the Words of JESUS HIMSELF Who so often answered a question with a question: “For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity]. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world [wealth, fame, success], but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?  For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and ‘then He will repay each one in accordance with what he has done.’” – MATTHEW 16:25-27, AMP
