NOTES ON THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS II: J6 AND THE FINAL CORRUPTION OF THE AMERICAN CHURCH – AN ELEGY – (WITH VIDEO)

1. THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?” – ROMANS 10:14, AMPC

KEY TERM: “PREACHER.” ‘Kérussó’ [κηρύσσοντος]: “A Herald [forerunner, precursor, harbinger] of Divine Truth;’ one who widely proclaims, announces, or publishes the Gospel (with its attendant sacred privileges and obligations).” NOTE: “The verb κηρύσσω (kérussó) is used in the New Testament to describe the act of proclaiming or announcing a message publicly. It often refers to the preaching of the Gospel or the proclamation of God’s truth. ‘The term implies Authority and Urgency as it was used in ancient times for the official announcements made by a herald on behalf of a king or government.’” 

QUOTATION. “‘Preachers are Heralds, who in representing their King proclaim a message with such Clarity and Integrity that those who hear will hopefully be transformed by its truth, goodness, and beauty.’ Preaching, then, is proclaiming God’s desire to take hearers from where they are to where God wants them to be through the Gospel.” ― DR. COMMENTARY. “‘For how shall they call upon Him’ — With sincerity; ‘in Whom they have not believed’ — In whose existence, power, and goodness they have not believed; or in Whom, as capable of hearing, and able and willing to grant their requests, they have no confidence! (see Hebrews 11:6)’ Or Whom they do not believe to be a proper object of worship, or worthy to be invoked with divine honours and adoration.

‘And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?’ — ‘Even the works of Nature and Providence must be made known to Mankind by instructers, to make them able to understand them: much more the Gospel of Christ.’ — Richard Baxter … Some way or other the Divine Revelation concerning Christ must be made known to us, before we can understand and believe it! In hearing is included reading, which is tantamount to hearing, and by which many are brought to believe, John 20:31. 

‘These things are written that you may believe.’ But hearing only is mentioned as the more ordinary and natural way of receiving information. ‘How shall they hear without a preacher’ — To carry these important tidings, which the light of nature could never be able to discover: or, except God reveal the Gospel to them some way or other. ‘And how shall they’ —The ministers of the Gospel; ‘preach except they be sent’ — Expressly for that purpose? That is, except they be both Commissioned, and, at least in some measure, Qualified for that difficult though important work? II. THE SIN OF SILENCE

I have always looked at history in terms of Ebbs and Flows, marked significantly by “Turning Points” as it is largely driven by the ‘Big Ideas’ foisted upon it by men and women of Good or Evil Purpose. Without any question, the day of JANUARY 6, 2021, was a most profoundly significant Turning Point – some say, ‘Tipping Point’ – for the American Order.

Where the American Church ought to have been found thundering its outrage at what took place, largely led by and in the name of Jesus Christ, she has been as thunderously, incomprehensively … SILENT AS A ‘LAMB!’

“A young sheep, especially one that is less than one year old or without permanent teeth; a gentle or weak person; a person easily cheated or deceived especially in trading securities.” – EDITORS, Merriam-Webster Dictionary, ret. Jan. 5, 2025; edited

“SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION!” I turn here once again to a brilliant and courageous voice from the Executive Director of American Baptist Churches USA, DR. MICHAEL P.L. FRIDAY. The Rev. Dr. Friday is a native of Trinidad who has pastored churches in Connecticut and Nebraska, while earning a second Masters and Doctor of Ministry Degrees. He is author of the book, And Lead Us Not into Dysfunction: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, of Church Institutions and Their Leaders (2017).

His essay is titled (as with my subhead): “Silence is Not an Option for the Church on January 6” (Baptist News, Jan. 5, 2024; edited). I will use his broadside as the fuel for my own fire regarding this HISTORIC ABANDONMENT OF CHRISTIAN DUTY by nearly all White Churches in America since that Dark Day.

• INSURRECTION. “‘It was an Insurrection!’ It was incited. It was planned. It was intended. It was a response to a dastardly lie. Trump did lose. Biden did win. People did die. Police officers were assaulted. Some did die as a result of the assault. People did desecrate and vandalize the Capitol. People did go in search of Mike Pence, shouting, ‘Hang Mike Pence!’ They did erect gallows. People did search for Nancy Pelosi to harm or kill her. ‘People did “baptize” these atrocious acts with ‘prayer’ in the name of Jesus!’ Our Democracy … and Democratic Republic, did become endangered, and do remain endangered. ‘Someone’ did cause all of this. That ‘Someone’ was encouraged, enabled, and supported in many ways, by other powerful people who could and should have disabled or otherwise stop that someone; and so this was not the deed of only one man.

• SILENCE. “‘To affirm all these truths is not political talk; it is simply the truth!’ To deny these truths isn’t a political perspective; it is dishonesty. No church folk should participate in, promote or enlarge dishonesty, especially the kind that destroys lives, demonizes others and kills people. To remain silent is to allow the lie to gather momentum. To remain silent is to tacitly support the lie. To remain silent is to encourage the works of Darkness. To remain silent is to obviate confession of sin. To remain silent is to delay repentance. To remain silent is to fail in our prophetic responsibility, wherein we look the sinner in the face and say, like Nathan of old to David, ‘Thou art the man!’ To remain silent is to fail in our role as agents of reconciliation, a process that does not resile from naming sin, mischief and offering grace when confession and repentance emerges.”

• LEADERSHIP. “Other ‘Evangelicals’ like Paula White, Robert Jeffress, Mark Burns, Darrell Scott, Samuel Rodriguez, Ramiro Peña, James Dobson, et al — people who were loud and frequent in praise, ‘anointings’ and support of events, policies and people between 2015 and 2020 — have gone dark and silent since January 6, 2021. These are not the Church Folk I expect to speak up now about January 6 and all the ugliness, sinfulness and terror it represents; but I wish they would. I am an Evangelical; most Baptists, of any stripe, are. The binary application of ‘Evangelical’ as an exact opposite to ‘Mainline’ is artificial and is as misleading and non-definitive as terms like ‘Conservative,’ ‘Liberal,’ ‘Progressive,’ ‘Pro-life’ and ‘Pro-choice.’”

• PERSECUTION. “‘Baptist News Global and other sources have reported on pastors who have resigned, retired or were fired for daring to do just what I am saying churches must do: Speak up!’ How is it that ‘Evangelicals’ such as Bob Vander Plaats of Iowa could full-throatedly endorse Trump, at this 11th hour, after all these years, chaos, wickedness and vitriol, and be praised for it. And yet, parishioners in congregations among the ‘Mainliners,’ and the ‘True Evangelicals’ among them and among the Evangelicals have intimidated their pastors, preachers and messengers into Deafening Silence?”

• INDICTMENT. “‘David asks a Question in Psalm 11:3’ (I always remember it on another date of infamy, 9/11): ‘When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ Among the innumerable answers in the rest of the Bible is one from Paul the Apostle: ‘Do not become weary in doing good’ (Galatians 6:9). One of the methods of those who destroy is to create a Firehose of Mischief so the righteous aren’t able to keep up. ‘In 2024, the Church must take the Risk of its prophetic forebears! To speak the truth, no matter the cost, or else the American Church — as Institution — along with America, shall lose and find the Gates of Hell prevailing against them.’ If that’s what it shall take for the Church — as Organism — to ignite herself again and prevail against the Gates of Hell (and it shall be through much Tribulation) then so be it.”

THE LAW. “No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or Elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in ‘Insurrection or Rebellion’ against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.” – The United States Constitution,“Disqualification from Holding Office,” Amendment 14, Section 3; edited

Which begs us to pose and answer THE QUESTION: HOW’D WE DO? “A new survey reveals that most White Christians and Hispanic Protestants supported President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election as discussions continue about the influence of voters’ religious beliefs on their political affiliation. The Public Religion Research Institute released a report

examining the results of the 2024 presidential election broken down by religious affiliation … ‘Trump, the Republican nominee in the 2024 Presidential Election, received his strongest level of support among White Evangelicals, measured at 85%.’ Just 14% of White Evangelicals backed Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee.” Selah.

 

III. GOD’S RESCUE & GOD’S WRATH

“When He (the Lamb) broke open the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour [in awe of God’s impending judgment].” – REVELATION 8:1, AMP

For those of you who are new to our Fellowship, or who have not yet read my book, The Sixth Seal II: A Pre-Wrath Commentary Redux on the Rise of Donald Trump and Decline of the American Order, 2017-2021 (2023-24), you may well benefit from this BRIEF SUMMARY of where this leaves us in the Epochal Year of 2025.

Based on the BOOK OF REVELATION 6:1-17, this is what it has taken me over 40 years to propose. Each Scripture is presented in the New King James Version.

• FIRST SEAL: CONQUEROR. “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, ‘Come and see.’ And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer” (VV. 1-2). DK. Without hesitation any longer after nearly ten years of exhaustive research, this is: The American Antichrist, DONALD TRUMP, the Beast of Babylon, 47^th President of the United States of America.

• SECOND SEAL: CONFLICT. “When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword” (VV. 3-4). DK. This is an obvious reference to the proliferation of Domestic and International Wars. Civil War, War in the South China Sea, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East are the primary flash points as of this date.

• THIRD SEAL: SCARCITY. “When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come and see.’ So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine’” (VV. 5-6). DK. This is a reference to a time, all but upon us, of Hyperinflation, War, and increasing Economic Instability as the result of choked supply lines, destruction of farmland, and later, complete economic collapse and famine. (But with implied protection and provision for the Remnant Church).

• FOURTH SEAL: DEATH. “When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth” (VV. 7-8). DK. With Covid-19 as Harbinger, here the Judgment will center largely upon Pestilence: “A fatal epidemic disease, as with plague that kills multitudes.” Can also refer to a Moral Pestilence that deepens the “Chaos.” Both Hell and Death are therefore the consequences of this Judgment.

• FIFTH SEAL: MARTYRDOM. “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed” (VV. 9-11). DK. To be clear, this is not a reference to the “multitude” of Tribulation Saints (Revelation 7:9) who are slain by Antichrist by beheading. Those are literally Christan Converts who are saved during the Seven Years of Great Tribulation, most of whom are killed for their testimony. These are distinguished by the comparatively limited number of Saints martytred in the Pre-Wrath Runup of Birth Pangs before God’s Anger explodes across the whole Earth.

• SIXTH SEAL: WRATH! “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” (VV. 12-17). DK: This, beloved, is the GREAT SEPARATION between the Age of Grace and the Seven Year Time of Jacob’s Troubles. Saints are Rescued a split second before the Sixth Seal is ripped open.

WHY PRE-WRATH? “For God has not destined us to [incur His] wrath [that is, He did not select us to condemn us], but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died [willingly] for us, so that whether we are awake (alive) or asleep (dead) [at Christ’s appearing], we will live together with Him [sharing eternal life].” – 1 THESSALONIANS 5:9-19, AMP

That is why, beloved: ‘No lo contendere.’ There is simply no doctrine, argument, nor persuasion that I shall suffer after over 40 years of investigation of this theological lodestone. For me at least; you of course are completely free to believe otherwise, and we can continue in loving fellowship. But I can no longer be moved from this position.

 

IV. LAST THOUGHTS

My Reason for going into such detail here, even in this somewhat cursory summary, is because I am fully convicted that America cannot escape the soon coming Wrath of God. For all the additional reasons and the evidence I have presented in previous Commentary and details found in my book.

CODA. Contrary to the silk-lined sermons of the Trump Christian Nationalists who are fatally deluded into believing the Massive Deception of this Antichrist, this is what Americans are about to ace. Christians will have to endure SEALS 1-5, but not ‘The Sixth Seal.’

Therefore beloved: Make Ready! – For the Ordeals of the Five Seal Judgments, but vastly more joyfully – for the Return of the True Once and Future King, YESHUA BEN DAVID – Creator, Redeemer and Savior forever and ever!
