NOTES ON WHOM GOD SHALL FAVOR IN THE LAST TIMES: THE REMNANT CHURCH VS. THE MAGA CHURCH – (WITH VIDEO)

1. THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises gain from fraud and from oppression, who shakes his hand free from the taking of bribes, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes to avoid looking upon evil. [Such a man] will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; water for him will be sure.” – ISAIAH 33:15-16, AMPC

KEY TERM: “HE WHO WALKS RIGHTEOUSLY.” ‘Tsedaqah’ [צְדָק֔וֹת]: “Rectitude, rightness, moral, just; ‘Blameless conduct and truthfulness [as a way of life].’ WEBSTER (1828): “Purity of heart and [moral virtue in] life; conformity of heart and life to the Divine Law.”

QUOTATION. “God’s people have turned to the Amusements of the World to try to squeeze a bit of juice out of them for the relief of their dry and joyless hearts. ‘Gospel’ boogie singing now furnishes for many persons the only religious joy they know. COMMENTARY. “‘He that walketh righteously’ — He who, being first made righteous by the justification of his person, and the renovation of his nature, (see on Genesis 15:6, and Psalm 32:1-2,) afterward practises righteousness in all its branches: (1 John 3:7-8,) and particularly in all his dealings with men, of which the following clauses explain it; ‘and speaketh uprightly;’ Hebrew, מישׁרים, uprightnesses, who speaks what is True and Right, and with an holiest intention. Who does not think one thing and speak another, but whose word is to him as sacred as his oath; ‘that despiseth the gain of oppressions’ — Who is so far from coveting gain unjustly gotten, that he despises it; thinks it a mean and sordid, as well as a wicked thing, to enrich himself by any injustice done to, or hardship put upon, his neighbour; ‘that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes’ — Or, much less will retain bribes; ‘that stoppeth his ears,’ &c. —

‘Who will not assent, or even hearken, to any counsels or practices tending to shed innocent blood;’ or to any kind of cruelty toward any one; or to any suggestions inciting him to revenge; ‘and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil’ — That abhors the very sight of sin committed by others, and who himself watches against the occasions of it. Those that would preserve the purity of their souls, must keep a strict guard on the senses of their bodies; stop their ears to temptations, and turn away their eyes from beholding vanity.

II. TEACHING

Beloved, this Teaching began as a Précis but is being amended into a full-blown Commentary for reasons that I should hope are obvious. As God continues the Last Stages of Winnowing His Church, separating Wheat from Chaff, this matter is of a most terrible urgency and importance in these Last Hours.

THE REMNANT (ORTHODOX) CHURCH. After many hours of moving through articles from both the Seventh Day Adventist and Catholic Churches that dominate most of the pertinent literature, I finally settled on one historically accurate overview. This denomination-free account is from the EDITORS of the Got Questions online journal (ret. Nov. 12, 2024; edited).

This is what we aspire to be, beloved. BULLET POINTS follow in summary of their main ideas that define this Vital Community for Last Things.

• OVERVIEW. “‘A Remnant’ is a left-over amount from a larger portion or piece, whether it is food, material from which a garment is fashioned, or even a group of people. Although Remnants could be looked upon as ‘worthless scraps,’ and many times are, God assigned high value to those of His people whom He had set aside for holy purposes, those He labels as ‘Remnants’ in several places in the Bible. To begin, in Isaiah 10 the story is told of the Lord’s Judgment upon the Assyrians. In verse 12 God says, ‘I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes.’ He continues in verses 17-18, 20: ‘The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briars. The splendor of his forests and fertile fields I will completely destroy, as when a sick man wastes away … And it shall come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, will never again depend on him who defeated them, but will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.’

• PRECEDENTS. “There are other Remnants—those left over from a larger group—in the Bible, even though the word Remnant isn’t used to describe them. Noah and his family were the Remnant saved out of the millions on the Earth before The Flood (Genesis 6). Only Lot and his two daughters survived the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, a very small Remnant, indeed (Genesis 19). When Elijah despaired that he was the only one left in Israel who had not bowed down to idols, God assured him that He had reserved a Remnant of 7,000 ‘whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him’” (1 Kings 19).”

• CHOSEN. “God’s sovereign choice as to whom He will save can also be seen in the New Testament: Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: ‘Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved. For the Lord will carry out His sentence on earth with speed and finality’ (Romans 9:27-28). This implies that great multitudes of the Israelites would be cast off. If only a Remnant was to be saved, many must be lost, and this was just the point which Paul was endeavoring to establish. While the word ‘Remnant’ means ‘what is left,’ particularly what may remain after a battle or a great calamity, in this verse, it means ‘a small part or portion.’ Out of the great multitude of the Israelites, there will be so few left as to make it proper to say that it was ‘a mere Remnant.’”

• THE FEW. Of course, the most Blessed Remnant is that of the True Church, the Body of Christ, chosen out of the millions who have lived and died over the centuries. Jesus made it clear that this Remnant would be small when compared to the number of people on the Earth throughout history. ‘Many’ will find the way to Eternal Destruction, but ‘Few’ will find the way to Eternal Life (Matthew 7:13-14). We who [truly] believe in [and faithfully follow] Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior can, with great peace, rest in the fact that we belong to ‘The Remnant!’”

THE MAGA (APOSTATE) CHURCH. Do not think for one minute that I call the Trump Maga Church “Apostate” frivolously. Indeed, it has taken me nearly ten years to conclude: (1) Donald John Trump is the Antichrist; (2) His Maga Christian Nationalist Church is Reprobate; and (3) America is Babylon the Great, having been largely seduced by Trump to follow him straight to the Furnaces of Hell.

The most objective, dispassionate review of this “Church” Movement is taken from an article by ADAM VOLLE writing for Britannica (July 21, 2023; updated Nov. 6, 2024; edited).

• DEFINITION. “MAGA Movement, is a Nativist Political Movement that emerged in the United States during the 2016 presidential campaign of its putative leader, Donald Trump. Its name is derived from Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan ‘Make America Great Again,’ which became a rallying cry for many Trump supporters during his candidacy, presidency (2017–21), and beyond.”

• BELIEFS. “The MAGA Movement (often referred to simply as MAGA, or Make America Great Again), was founded on the belief that the United States was once a ‘Great’ country but has lost this status owing to foreign influence, both within its borders (via immigration and multiculturalism) and without (via globalization, or the increased integration of multiple national economies). MAGA members think that this fall from grace can be reversed through ‘America First’ policies that would provide a greater degree of economic protectionism, greatly reduce immigration, particularly from developing countries, and encourage or enforce what MAGA members consider to be ‘Traditional American [Christian] Values.’ Some MAGA-supported policies, such as Trump’s call in 2015 for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States’ [or today’s mass deportation of mostly Hispanic immigrants] would involve egregious racial or religious discrimination.”

• MILITANCY. “In addition to its political stances, the MAGA Movement is known for its particularly combative character, which exemplifies the Extreme Partisanship of contemporary American politics. In keeping with that stance, controversial rhetoric has flourished within the movement, including messages that critics see as homophobic, sexist, or racist or as inciting violence.”

• MEDIA. The MAGA Movement is also known for having an antagonistic relationship with mainstream news media, which are thought by a majority in the movement to be biased against MAGA views, at best, and to be lying on behalf of the movement’s enemies, at worst. [NOTE: Nearly identical to Hitler and Goebbels’ Nazi concept of the term, Lügenpresse, or ‘lying press’, used by the German National Socialist Party before and during the Third Reich to discredit the news media and to undermine public trust]. This belief has resulted in a vulnerability among MAGA members to false news stories and particularly far-fetched conspiracy theories circulated by MAGA-supporting media outlets and repeated by MAGA leaders. Examples include charges that Democratic former president Barack Obama is not a native-born U.S. citizen (“birtherism”), that Democrats’ immigration policies aim to replace White Americans with Nonwhite immigrants (see Replacement Theory), that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump by Democrats through massive voter fraud, and that the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, in which a mob of Trump supporters attempted to halt Congress’s certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election, was actually staged by Left-Wing forces.”

• REELECTION. “The MAGA [QAnon] Movement remains a powerful force in American politics. In late 2022 an estimated 4 in 10 Republicans identified themselves as ‘MAGA Republicans’ [and 66 documented QAnon’s]. Shortly after the midterm elections of 2022, Trump declared his candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. In view of the strength of the MAGA movement, other candidates for the Republican nomination have been forced to adopt strategies that limit direct or serious criticisms of Trump and emphasize their acceptance of at least some of the extremist views of MAGA members.”

CODA. Since that overview was drafted in 2023 of course, America overwhelmingly reelected Trump to his second term as President of the United States on November 5, 2024, by 312 to 226 Electoral College Votes. And it appears that the Trump GOP will therefore hold the Executive, the Legislative and the Judicial in an iron grip.

In Sum: Donald Trump done whupped Kamala Harris decisively!

And all this enabled through the steady support of 83% of the White Christian Nationalist (MAGA) Church supporting him. We shall now face the rollout of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 and Trump’s staff policy proposals in Agenda 47 commencing on JANUARY 20, 2025.

III. LAST THOUGHTS: WHAT NOW?

I just finished listening to a Pastor in North Carolina who I have enjoyed and even regaled recently for his fiery stand against the Trump Bible some time ago. Since then, his sermons have been equal to that first salvo against the seditions of Trump Christian Nationalism. So I was on the edge of my chair as he announced he was going to speak about The Election this day, “with fear and trembling.”

Then he said this: “My wife and I did not vote for a person, we voted to protect a children’s right to live.” He then later concluded: “Folks, I am not ready to let America go, the nation that offers the very best life in the world!”

And in those two statements alone, he annihilated the entire Biblical  Canon regarding the doctrinal requirements for a leader, and the prohibition of having any gods before the One True God (cf. Exodus 18:21; Exodus 20:3-5).

“THE SLITHER.” ‘To slide or slip unsteadily, especially on a loose or gravelly surface, or to move like a snake.’

I am not saying that the Pastor is a snake but that he was seduced by The Serpent of Old as surely as I am speaking these words to you – along with over 80 percent of the White Evangelical Church community in America.

“Hoodwinked!” is a term that came to me just yesterday, which means: “To deceive by external appearances of disguise” (Webster, 1828). Yes, beloved, the nearly entire American Church today has, as our beloved Amy Hawk (2024) has persuasively argued, ‘Betrayed Jesus Christ!’ Even as Judas did 2,000 years ago!

OUR RESPONSE. “Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and STAND YOUR GROUND in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].” – EPHESIANS 6:13, AMP

On January 20, 2025, everything in America and in the entire Earth will begin to Change Forever as we plummet toward the very End of History as we have known it, beloved. Make no mistake: It is here now, right in front of us. So, yes: ‘Armor up and prepare for the Battle of a Lifetime!’ With our only Goal to be this:

To bring Honor and Glory to our King, whether by the way that we shall live, or by the way that we shall die. Selah. Selah.
