ON CIRCUIT RIDE 2-B: MON MAR 19-SUN MAR 27

THE NUMBER. So, if you are wondering why I call this ride, “2-B,” you might recall that it had a few weather-related and spiritually driven roadblocks the first time out in December. Hence, this the promised Completion of that Second Journey.

GROUND RULES. A few Protocols that have developed over the 7,000 miles or so logged thus far, include the following:

• VISITS. If you desire a visit from me, I need a few days’ notice to make adequate plans to stop and stay in your town for the night (I arrange for my own motel room etc. and pay for it myself).

• SIZE. I can meet with individuals or small groups of folks, depending on your particular location and preference. If there are a few friends in your area, it is a great idea to coordinate with them for a one-time meeting.

• PLACE. It has worked wonderfully to meet at a local restaurant, since I love to eat! That is my only expense – that you buy me dinner. And no, it need not be expensive since I prefer places like Noodles, Cracker Barrell, Panera, or if you are really high-end, Texas Roadhouse.

• COVID. Except for emergencies, I will generally not meet with the Unvaccinated. Though deaths per day are down to 1,400, that is still 10X higher than an average flu count. Hey, I’m 77, so I must take precautions with the roughly 40% who are still Unvaccinated. NOTE: Top 4 Covid States: California, Texas, Florida, New York. Selah.

TENTATIVE STATES VISITED. The Map below will help you track my routes, but only very generally. It will vary according to where you live and who requests me to stop by. But this is a ROUGH ITINERARY.

• SAT MAR 19 – NEBRASKA. Will get a late start after dropping off my daughter and her friend at Denver Airport, so would be an evening visit.

• SUN-MON MAR 20-21 – IOWA-WISCONSIN. My son Christopher lives in Madison, and is leaving for the Philippines to finish his doctoral research for the Fullbright Scholarship in April, so I want to spend a little time with him before he leaves.

• TUE MAR 22 – MINNESOTA-DAKOTAS. This is somewhat open as I plan a short drive to the Minneapolis area for a drive-by meeting, then on to ‘The Badlands’ to finish the day and make good progress.

• WED MAR 23 – MONTANA-IDAHO. Plan to stop in Montana overnight to see an old friend from my Focus on the Family days who got married last year. Then on toward the West Coast the next day.

• THU MAR 24 – WASHINGTON-OREGON. Have plans already to stay in Washington for the night to visit with some friends in our Fellowship, then the next day to drive south.

• FRI MAR 25 – N. CALIFORNIA. I have a dear family friend in my old stomping grounds of Stockton for an overnight there. Plus, another Fellowship friend in that general area I met with last time that I will likely also break bread with.

• SAT MAR 26 – NEVADA-UTAH. Will see an old FFI (Focus on the Family Institute) friend in Reno very likely, then trek on east toward home from there, in order to get home on time the next day.

• SUN MAR 27 – HOME TO COLORADO! This in order to get back as my wife Suzette starts back to school after her week-long vacation.

STAY FLEXIBLE. These general destination deadlines will vary depending on individual requests, the weather and the ever present ‘unforeseen stuff.’ But God is the Captain of this here little adventure, so I trust Him to work out the details.

WAR WORD. Now then, you may remember that I got a Word from the Lord just before I made that first Ride last June 2021: “¡Se acabó!” – That is translated, “It’s over!” And we left the interpretation to be made clear to us in the ensuing months.

And true to His character, on the morning of Friday March 4, He whispered – more like shouted – another Word to me in another language, this time in one that I do not speak:

“Rhomphaia!”

DEFINITION. Turns out it is the Greek term [ῥομφαία] used to describe: “A sabre; long and broad cutlass, scimitar or sword that brings ‘piercing grief;’ synonymous with finality or dominance; any sharpened weapon used for cutting, separating or destroying.”

It is used in these passages:

• LUKE 2:35.  “[A] SWORD [of deep sorrow] will pierce through your own soul—so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

• REVELATION 1:16. “In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth came a sharp two-edged SWORD [of judgment]; and His face [reflecting His majesty and the Shekinah glory] was like the sun shining in [all] its power [at midday].”

• REVELATION 2:12. “And to the angel (divine messenger) of the church in Pergamum write, ‘These are the words of Him who has and wields the sharp two-edged SWORD [in judgment].’”

• REVELATION 6:8. “So I looked, and behold, an ashen (pale greenish gray) horse [like a corpse, representing death and pestilence]; and its rider’s name was Death; and Hades (the realm of the dead) was following with him. They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth, to kill with the SWORD and with famine and with plague (pestilence, disease) and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

• REVELATION 19:15. “From His mouth comes a sharp SWORD (His word) with which He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He will tread the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty [in judgment of the rebellious world].”

• REVELATION 19:21. “And the rest were killed with the SWORD which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds fed ravenously and gorged themselves with their flesh.”

THE SWORD. Based on all these passages, it appears that there are at least Three Meanings applied to this very special instrument. (1) It refers to the ‘Word of God,’ Christ Jesus, and all His Truth. (2) It is also, more personally, the very ‘Sword of Judgment’ by which He distinguishes between the righteous and unrighteous at the End of Days. And (3), it also refers to a Battle Sword by which multitudes are slain in the Valley of His Decision at the very Last.

MY TAKE. Judgment has now begun. It is now unstoppable, inexorable, and severe. Also deadly, to be blunt to the point of its careful use in the Scriptures. I believe it’s possible that the War in Ukraine is ‘a Signal Flare’ of this bloody Judgment, though this and my next statement are speculative.

‘War shall become the norm,’ by the Prophecy of the Second Seal:

“When He (the Lamb) broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, ‘Come.’ And another, a fiery red horse [of bloodshed], came out; and its rider was empowered to take peace from the earth, so that men would slaughter one another; and a great sword [of war and violent death] was given to him.” – REVELATION 6:3-4, AMP

RUSSIA-UKRAINE. A reasonable expectation is that this may well be ‘The Fuse’ that will gradually ignite a much wider conflagration, as in World War. MY REASON: Though Ukraine is not yet a member of NATO, rumors are rife that Putin my not stop with Ukraine, and push toward former Soviet States that are: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria et.

NATO’S ARTICLE 5. “The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defense recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area. Any such armed attack and all measures taken as a result thereof shall immediately be reported to the Security Council. Such measures shall be terminated when the Security Council has taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security.”

You see the potential for the Unthinkable.

NOTE: In my new book coming out this summer, Sixth Seal II, one section spells out in detail the FIVE LAST WARS that Scripture describes taking place in the Last Times that have not yet been fought. This may be the beginning of those final battles.

CODA. I therefore believe that on this Second Ride, the Lord would have us continue to Pray for Ukraine of course, but for all the Nations that are being drawn into the Judgments of the Lamb turned Lion. And, by all means necessary, to fervently attend to one’s Spiritual Condition, and our Witness to others.
