PRÉCIS ON REMAINING CALM IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM: GOD SHALL UNDERTAKE!

SCRIPTURE. “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” – PSALM 46:10, AMP

KEY TERM: “BE STILL.” ‘Raphah.’ [הַרְפּ֣וּ]: “A primitive root, ‘To slacken [one’s grip]; to abate, cease, desist, relax, let go; [i.e., Return to peace].’” NOTE:Strong’s 7503 appears about forty-six times, touching virtually every period of Old Testament history—from the Wilderness wanderings (Deuteronomy) through the Monarchy (Samuel, Kings, Chronicles), the Exile (Jeremiah), and the Post-exilic Era (Nehemiah, Zephaniah). The Contexts cluster around two poles: (1) Physical or Emotional Weakening and(2) Deliberate Refraining or Letting go. Together they trace a Moral and Spiritual Polarity: Covenant Faithfulness marked by Steadfastness versus Covenant Unfaithfulness marked by Laxity or Faint-heartedness.”

QUOTATION. “In the treatment of Anxiety, a proper understanding of Sovereignty is huge. Anxiety is often the consequence of perceived Chaos. If we sense we are Victims of unseen, turbulent, random forces, we are troubled … The next time you fear the Future, Rejoice in the Lord’s Sovereignty. Rejoice in what He has accomplished. Rejoice that He is able to do what you cannot do. Fill your mind with thoughts of God.” – MAX LUCADO, Anxiousfor Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World, 2017; edited

COMMENTARY. “‘Come and see the effects of Desolating Judgments, and stand in awe of God.’ This shows the perfect Security of the [true] Church, and is an assurance of lasting peace. Let us pray for the speedy approach of these Glorious Days, and in silent submission let us worship and trust in our Almighty Sovereign. Let all believers triumph in this, that the Lord of Hosts, the God of Jacob, has been, is, and will be with us; and will be our Refuge. Mark this, take the comfort, and say, ‘If God be for us, who can be against us?With this, through life and in death, let us answer every fear.” – MATTHEW HENRY, Exposition of the Old and NewTestaments, 6 vols., 1708-1710; edited

DK’S TAKE. I am penning this letter in the turbulent wake of recent events in America that have made True Christian Life enormously difficult. The Second Advent of President Donald Trump, and all that this has brought to the Nation.

Deception. Chaos. Hatred. Division. Violence. This is all underscored and severely punctuated by MASSIVE CONFUSIOIN over the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil, true and false.

The still fresh and indescribably painful Assassination of Trump advocate Charlie Kirk has poured white hot fuel on the entire National Debate between THREE FORCES: (1) The Maga Trump Nationalist Coalition; (2) The Anti-Trump Christian Coalition; and (3) The Silent Majority.

And Trump is winning! For now.

Indeed, as Trump shores up his Base of Power with the Republican Party, the Church, the Business Community, the combined Military and Police Forces and an increasingly compromised Media, he is seizing control of the entire Nation and just a bit later, the World.

Because he is the BEAST OF BABYLON. As the Revelator put it:Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” – REVELATION 13:4, KJV

CODA. ‘We can beloved, we must!’ But only by Reposing ourselves firmly into His Protective Cover of Truth and Divine Umbrage at His own people’s Betrayal to our witness of Salt and Light to all this Darkness.

‘That is all. And that is enough. For now.’
