PRÉCIS ON THE DEATH OF FELLOWSHIP: THE FRUIT OF TRUMP’S “CHRISTIAN” NATIONALISM MOVEMENT

SCRIPTURE. “You have put my [familiar] friends far from me; You have made me an abomination to them. I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.” – PSALM 88:8, AMPC

KEY TERM: “PUT AWAY.” ‘Rashaq’ [רָחַק]: “From a primitive root, ‘To widen, recede, or remove (place or relation);’ to cast away [from one’s presence]; to wander or withdraw and stand a good way off; make, or exhibit, distance, be gone far;  to take or put away in any manner; ‘to cause to leave a person or thing; to banish or destroy.’”

COMMENTARY. “‘Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me’ – The same ground of complaint, or expression of the depth of affliction, occurs elsewhere – Psalm 31:11; Psalm 38:11; Psalm 69:8. See also Job 19:13-17.

‘Thou hast made me an abomination unto them’ – As something which they would avoid, or from which they would revolt and turn away – as we turn away from the body of a dead man, or from an offensive object. The word means properly an object to be detested or abominated, as things unclean, Genesis 43:32; or as idolatry, 1 Kings 14:24; 2 Kings 16:3; 2 Kings 23:13.

Still one more reflection on the very painful occasion today where we see so many life-long friends and even family members first ‘departing from us’ (or we from them, by necessity), and later ‘despising us.’ Truth be told, I have come to despise those who hold DONALD TRUMP higher than they do JESUS CHRIST!

So do I see “Antichrist” pitted against the “True Christ” as never before in all American history and the Church. The Final Outcome shall determine the Destiny of a Nation, and our Personal Fates – Heaven or Hell.

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT. “Then God spoke all these words: ‘I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me.
