PRÉCIS ON THE PRAYER FOR THE LAST TIMES: THE WAY TO TRIUMPH

SCRIPTURE. “Hold me up, that I may be safe and have regard for Your statutes continually!” – PSALM 119:117, AMPC

KEY TERM: “HOLD ME UP!” ‘Saad’ [סְעָדֵ֥נִי]: “A primitive root, ‘To [Divinely] support, establish, comfort, refresh and strengthen;’ to sustain, stay the heart; as, ‘to take meat for sustenance;’ To keep from declension; to continue; to maintain; to keep from falling or slipping or being lost; also, to elevate or lift on high [above the fray]; ‘Honor shall uphold the humble in spirit’ (Proverbs 29:23).”

COMMENTARY. “Here is a dread of the risings of sin, and the first beginnings of it. ‘The more we love the Law of God, the more watchful we shall be, lest vain thoughts draw us from what we love.’ Would we make progress in keeping God’s Commands, we must be separate from evil-doers. The believer could not live without the grace of God; but, supported by His hand, His spiritual life shall be maintained. Our holy security is grounded on Divine supports. ‘All departure from God’s statutes is error, and will prove fatal.’ Their cunning is falsehood. There is a Day coming which will put the wicked into everlasting fire, the fit place for the dross. See what comes of sin. DK’S TAKE. Beloved, all that I have learned in the past ten years from my being dislodged from the Establishment Trump Church is found here in this tiny, but razor-sharp Teaching from the Scripture. The Psalmist makes crystalline clear that our journey through the Storms ahead is found lodged square inside Packer’s Maxim: ‘Knowing God!’

And the only Path toward such intimate concourse with Him is to spend hours, days, weeks, months and years with Him in close communion with His Words. To truly study Him as if He is your only real Source of strength and wisdom for the days ahead – because He is, beloved! He is!

BE LIKE DAVID! “Oh, how love I Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies, for [Your words] are ever before me. I have better understanding and deeper insight than all my teachers, because Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, because I keep Your precepts [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them].” – PSALM 119:97-100, AMPC

Though these Words were not penned by him, he often wrote and sang such praises for God’s Laws, the Sound Doctrines that shall keep through all the Darkness of the Last Times. Illuminated by His Spirit, this, beloved, is our certain Path to Triumph.

There simply is no other way toward it.
