PRÉCIS ON THE TOWERING IMPORTANCE OF SPEAKING TRUTH TO THE LIES OF THE AGE OF ANTICHRIST

SCRIPTURE. “Therefore, rejecting all falsehood [whether lying, defrauding, telling half-truths, spreading rumors, any such as these], speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one another [and we are all parts of the body of Christ].” – EPHESIANS 4:25, AMP

KEY TERM: “REJECTING ALL FALSEHOOD.” ‘Apotithémi’ [ἀποθέμενο]: “‘To lay aside, cast off, [keep] apart from;’ to renounce; to throw away, as anything useless or vile; to refuse to receive; to slight; to despise; ‘to rebuff or repel [as something reprehensible];’ (imp., to expose falsehood publicly!).

COMMENTARY. “[Christians] can best do this first by first putting away lying and putting on truthfulness. ‘Lying here includes every form of dishonesty whether it is shading of the truth, exaggeration, cheating, failure to keep promises, betrayal of confidence, flattery, or fudging on income taxes.’ The Christian’s word should be absolutely trustworthy. His yes should mean yes and his no, no. The life of a Christian becomes a Libel rather than a Bible when he stoops to any form of tampering with truthfulness.

‘Truth is a debt we owe to all men.’ However, when Paul uses the word, ‘neighbor, here, he is thinking particularly of our fellow believers. This is clear from the motive given: ‘For we are members of one another’ (cf. DK’S TAKE. Beloved, for a Christian or especially a Christian leader to continuously lie to the Body of Christ is very possible the highest spiritual crime possible. It is nothing less than a violent repudiation of all the Jesus Christ teaches us in the Gospel that works to annihilate the unity of the Body by sabotaging the very foundation of our unity which is truth! Finally, it humiliates and shatters the doctrines to the shame of our Master and any ability to become a witness for truth and honor and order in society.

Beloved: Lying is one the seven things that, wait for it – ‘GOD HATES!’ “These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look [the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others], ‘a lying tongue,’ and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, ‘a false witness who breathes out lies [even under oath],’ and he who sows discord among his brethren.” – PROVERBS 6:16-19, AMPC

JOHN GILL COMMENTS. “‘These six things doth the Lord hate.’ That is, the six following, which are all to be ‘found in a man of Belial, a wicked man’ before described. This is precisely what the demonically inspired CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM MOVEMENT of Donald Trump does, beloved! It insidiously redefines the very Christian Canon, ripping it from its moorings in the Commandment to Love God and neighbor as our highest obligation, replacing it with the Antichrist’s Call to Dominate all others toward the objective of seizing and maintaining power by destroying all opposition.
