SPECIAL PRÉCIS ON HEAVEN’S LAST CALL TO THE TRUMP CHRISTIAN NATIONALISTS: FINAL LIFELINES FROM JAMES THE APOSTLE – (WITH VIDEO)

THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you strays from the truth and falls into error and [another] one turns him back [to God], let the [latter] one know that the one who has turned a sinner from the error of his way will save that one’s soul from death and cover a multitude of sins [that is, obtain the pardon of the many sins committed by the one who has been restored].” – JAMES 5:19-20, AMP

KEY TERM: “TURNS HIM BACK.” ‘Epistrephó’ [ἐπιστρέψῃ]: “To revert, convert, or turn about again.”Also: “In a moral [or spiritual] sense, to return to the worship and service of the Lord, causing one to depart from error; ‘a turning back to that which is good; to bring back [or be brought back from certain destruction’].” NOTE: “The verb ‘epistrephó’ primarily means to turn or return, often implying a change of direction or a conversion. In the New Testament, it is frequently used in a spiritual sense, referring to turning back to God or converting to faith in Christ. It can denote both a physical turning and a metaphorical or spiritual turning, such as repentance or conversion.”

CHRISTOLOGY. “I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally.” – LUKE 13:3 AMPC

COMMENTARY. “‘Brethren’ — As if he had said, ‘I have now warned you of those things to which you are most liable. And in all these respects watch, not only over yourselves, but every one over his brother also. Labour, in particular, to recover those that are fallen. For ‘if any of you do err from the truth’— From the right way in which he ought to walk, if he be seduced by any means from the Doctrine and Practice of the Gospel; ‘and one’ — Any one; ‘convert him’ — Be a means of bringing him back into that way from which he had wandered; ‘let him know’ — Who has been enabled to effect so good a work; ‘that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way’ — From the False Doctrine and Bad Practice to which he had turned aside, shall produce a much happier effect than any miraculous cure of the body; for he ‘shall save a’precious immortal ‘soul from’ spiritual and eternal ‘death, and shall hide a multitude of sins’— Namely, the sins of the persons thus converted, which shall no more, how many soever they are, be remembered to his condemnation.” – JOSEPH BENSON, Notes on the Holy Bible, 5 vols., 1811-1818; edited

II. TEACHING

ARGUMENTUM EX SCRIPTURA. ‘I propose that the vast majority of those who are self-selected members to, or followers of, Donald Trump’s Christian Nationalist Movement are very probably bound for Perdition.’

The Lodestone of this proclamation is found in FOUR DOCTRINAL PROHIBITIONS against serving Foreign Gods. They are absolute, non-negotiable Commandments from our Sovereign that should be preached from American Pulpits but are not any longer, according to all the evidence.

GOD VS. MAMMON. “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord].” – MATTHEW 6:24, AMP
GOD VS. IDOLS. “You shall not make for yourself any idol, or any likeness (form, manifestation) of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth [as an object to worship]. You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine], visiting (avenging) the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the fathers on the children [that is, calling the children to account for the sins of their fathers], to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing graciousness and steadfast lovingkindness to thousands [of generations] of those who love Me and keep My commandments.” – EXODUS 20:4-6, AMP
GOD VS. DEMONS. “You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them].” – 1 CORINTHIANS 10:21, AMP
GOD VS. ANTICHRIST. “And the beast (Antichrist) was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who, in his presence, had performed [amazing] signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were hurled alive into the lake of fire which blazes with brimstone.” – REVELATION 19:20, AMP

There is not a question in my mind or spirit that those Christians who follow after the American Antichrist, President Donald Trump, in their hearts, mouths and actions are: ‘Self-Condemned.’ For this old lay theologian at least, this case is quite literally, PRIMA FACIE:

“Prima facie is Latin for ‘At first sight,’ or ‘On the face of it.’ Prima facie is used in court to indicate that there is sufficient or adequate evidence to support a claim . More simply put, a prima facie case means that the claim being presented to a court has merit, when taken at face value.” – EDITORS, Legal Information Institute, Cornell Law, ret. Now then I turn from Doctrinal Barrister to a Teacher toward Repentance. Since we began with the distinguished British theologian J.C. RYLE, we shall dive more deeply into his classic work On Repentance from 1877.

III. MARKS OF REPENTANCE

What follows is solid gold Biblical Instruction to all those who have Departed from the Faith in the Matter of Mr. Trump’s Nationalism as: THE WAY BACK. Yet I must add a Codicil here that I was strongly impressed to Warn:

‘The End of Divine Grace is quite literally “at hand.” Therefore, do not delay further!’

This timeless essay is from the work of J.C. RYLE (10 May 1816 – 10 June 1900), the great English evangelical Anglican Bishop of Liverpool. He was a writer, pastor and an evangelical preacher. Among his longer works are Christian Leaders of the Eighteenth Century (1869), Expository Thoughts on the Gospels (7 volumes, 1856–69), and Principles for Churchmen (1884). Ryle was described as having a commanding presence and vigorous in advocating his principles albeit with a warm disposition, and was especially effective evangelizing the blue collar community (EDITORS, Wikipedia, Oct. 26, 2024; edited).

5 MARKS OF REPENTANCE (reprinted in Monergism, 1865; edited).

OPEN. “‘Repentance is a thorough change of person’s natural heart, upon the subject of sin.’ We are all born in sin. We naturally love sin. We take to sin, as soon as we can act and think—just as the bird takes to flying, and the fish takes to swimming. ‘There never was a child that required schooling or education in order to learn Deceitfulness, Selfishness, Passion, Self-will, Gluttony, Pride and Foolishness. These things are not picked up from bad companions, or gradually learned by a long course of tedious instruction. They spring up of themselves, even when boys and girls are brought up alone.’ The seeds of them are evidently the natural product of the heart. The aptitude of all children to these evil things is an unanswerable proof of the Corruption and Fall of Man. Now when this heart of ours is changed by the Holy Spirit, when this natural love of sin is cast out, then takes place that ‘Change’ which the Word of God calls ‘Repentance.’ The person in whom the Change is created is said to ‘Repent.’ They may be called, in one word, a ‘Repentant [Obedient] Person.’”

1.KNOWLEDGE OF SIN. “‘True repentance begins with a knowledge of sin.’ The eyes of the repentant person are opened. They see with dismay and confusion the length and breadth of God’s Holy Law, and the extent, the enormous extent, of their own transgressions. They discover, to their surprise, that in thinking themselves a ‘good sort of person,’ and a person with a ‘good heart,’ they have been under a Huge Delusion. They find out that, in Reality, they are wicked, and guilty, and corrupt, and evil in God’s sight. Their Pride breaks down. Their high thoughts melt away. They see that they are a great sinner. This is the first step in True Repentance.”

2.SORROW FOR SIN. “‘True repentance goes on to work sorrow for sin.’ The heart of a repentant person is touched with deep remorse because of their past transgressions. They are cut to the heart to think that they have lived so madly and so wickedly. They mourn over time wasted, over talents misspent, over God dishonored, over their own soul being injured. The remembrance of these things is grievous to them. The burden of these things is sometimes almost intolerable. When a person sorrows like this, you have the second step in True Repentance.

3.PRODUCES A BREAKING OFF FROM SIN. “‘True repentance shows itself in a thorough breaking off from sin.’The life of a repentant person is altered. The course of their daily conduct is entirely changed. A New King reigns within their heart. They put off the Old Man. What God commands they now desire to practice; and what God forbids they now desire to avoid. They strive in all ways to keep clear of sin, to fight with sin, to war with sin, to get the victory over sin. They cease to do evil. They learn to do well. They break off sharply from bad ways and bad companions. They labor, however feebly, to live a New Life. When a person does this, you have the fourth step in True Repentance.”

4.PRODUCES CONFESSION OF SIN. “‘True repentance proceeds to produce confession of sin.’ The tongue of a repentant person is loosed. They feel they must speak to that God against Whom they have sinned. Something within them tells them they must cry to God, and pray to God, and talk with God, about the state of their own soul. They must pour out their heart, and acknowledge their iniquities, at the Throne of Grace. They are a heavy burden within them, and they can no longer keep silent. They can keep nothing back. They will not hide anything. They go before God, pleading nothing for themselves, and are willing to say, ‘I have sinned against Heaven and before You—my iniquity is great. God be merciful to me, a sinner!’ When a person goes thus to God in confession, you have the third step in True repentance.”

5.PRODUCES A DEEP HATRED OF SIN. “‘True repentance shows itself by producing in the heart a settled habit of deep hatred of all sin.’ The mind of a repentant person becomes a Mind Habitually Holy. They abhor that which is evil and cleaves to that which is good. They delight in the Law of God. They come short of their own desires not unfrequently. They find in themselves an Evil Principle warring against the Spirit of God. They find themselves cold when they would be hot; backward when they would be forward; heavy when they would be lively in God’s service. They are deeply conscious of their own infirmities. They groan under a sense of indwelling corruption. But still, for all that, the General Bias of their heart is towards God, and away from evil. They can say with David, “I count all Your precepts concerning all things to be right, and I hate every false way” (Psalm 119:128). When a person can say this, you have the fifth, or crowning step, of True Repentance.”

IN SUM. “True Repentance is never alone in the heart of any person. It always has a Companion—a Blessed Companion. It is always accompanied by Lively Faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wherever Faith is, there is Repentance; wherever Repentance is, there is always Faith. I do not decide which comes first—whether Repentance comes before Faith, or Faith before Repentance. But I am bold to say that the Two Graces are never found separate, one from the other. Just as you cannot have the sun without light, or ice without cold, or fire without heat, or water without moisture—’You will never find True Faith without True Repentance, and you will never find True Repentance without Lively Faith. The two things will always go side by side.’”

IV. LAST THOUGHTS

COROLLARY. ‘The vast majority of MAGA Christian Nationalists will not (or cannot) Repent because they have constructed a New American Gospel that does not require it.’

Just as their New Messiah, DONALD TRUMP, admitted to CNN journalist Anderson Cooper in an interview in July 2015 on whether or not he needs forgiveness: “I go to Communion and that’s asking forgiveness, you know, it’s a form of asking forgiveness … I try not make mistakes where I have to ask forgiveness. Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes? I work hard, I’m an honorable person.”

In this same light, I came across a recently published Op-Ed Commentary (ANONYMOUS) published in the Milwaukee Independent on March 16, 2025, titled, “A Faith Hijacked by Hate: Why Maga Christians Are a Cult of Power Disguised as Religion” (edited).

I shall close out our conversation with a few of his MAIN IDEAS.

AMERICAN DELUSION. “Many residents of the United States have long projected an Artificial Image of living in a Christian Nation, where Faith serves as the Foundation for its moral and cultural identity. Political leaders invoke religious language, and millions of Americans openly declare their devotion to Christianity. Yet, the actions and rhetoric of many of these self-proclaimed believers contradict every fundamental teaching of their Faith.”

AMERICAN REALITY. “The most recent inconsistency of this ‘Ideology’ is visible in the modern MAGA Movement, where hatred, cruelty, and exclusion define the behavior of those who claim to follow Jesus Christ. In their world, Christianity is not a message of love but a Weapon of Division. It is not a call to serve the poor, embrace the stranger, or turn the other cheek. Instead, it has become a banner under which they justify their anger toward immigrants, LGBTQ individuals, racial minorities, and anyone who challenges the Dominance of the ‘White’ race.

AMERICAN ANTICHRIST. Their leader is not Christ, but a political figure who represents the Opposite of everything Christianity was meant to stand for. A man defined by greed, vengeance, and self-interest has become the moral standard for a Movement that still insists on calling itself ‘Christian.’ What should have been a religion of humility and sacrifice has transformed into an Ideology of Conquest and Resentment in America. The Transformation was not accidental. It is the product of decades of deliberate manipulation, where the Language of Faith was twisted into a justification for power and cruelty.

AMERICAN APOSTASY. The Question is not whether these people are truly Christians — by every Biblical Standard [whether by a False First Confession or by Apostasy], ‘they are not!’ The Real Question is why they have so eagerly embraced a version of Christianity so utterly divorced from its Core Teachings. The Answer reveals the Dark Reality of what American Christianity has become.

WHITE NATIONALISM. “MAGA Christianity does not exist to spread the Gospel or bring people closer to Christ. It exists to consolidate power, embedded in hate. Over the last several decades, Christianity in the United States has undergone a radical transformation, merging with White Nationalism to create an entirely New Belief System. This New Religion is not defined by Scripture, but by the [False] Idea that America is a Divinely Chosen Nation under threat from outsiders, secularists, and non-believers. The Christian Nationalist Movement thrives on the belief that Christianity must Dominate the government, the courts, and public life.”

RESENTMENT AND REVENGE. “MAGA Christianity is not driven by Faith. It is driven by Resentment. The Movement is defined not by love, forgiveness, or service to others, but by an unrelenting belief that they are the Victims of an America that no longer belongs to them. This Grievance Mindset has become the Core of their Identity, shaping every aspect of their toxic worldview. For decades, conservative Christians have been told they are ‘under siege.’ They have been fed a steady diet of fear, convincing them that they are being persecuted simply because their Dominance over Society is eroding. In Reality, no one is taking away their right to worship, to believe, or to practice their Faith. What they Resent is that they can no longer ‘impose’ their will on others without resistance. This sense of Victimhood has led to an obsession with Revenge.”

MAGA’S FUTURE. “It is too deeply entrenched in American political and cultural life, too invested in its own Mythology, and too dependent on the structures of power it has co-opted to crumble overnight. The Movement’s leaders have spent decades indoctrinating their followers into believing that any challenge to their Dominance is an existential threat. That paranoia will drive them to escalate their tactics, ensuring that the next chapter of American life is defined by deeper divisions, greater cruelty, and a continued rejection of Christian Principles in favor of political conquest. The 2024 Election was not simply a political victory for Trump, it was a confirmation for his followers that their Movement is Divinely Sanctioned. They believe God will act accordingly. With renewed Control over government institutions, they will push for policies designed to codify their Dominance, from rolling back civil rights protections to imposing religious laws under the guise of ‘Restoring Christian values.’ Their Goal is not to coexist with a diverse and pluralistic society, it is to utterly erase it.”

CODA. Beloved, I have only one thing left to say not only after this admittedly severe Commentary, but after nearly Ten Years of Struggle with this pernicious “American Gospel” so violently contrary to the True Gospel of Christ.

‘REPENT! Now, today, without further delay!’ Before all God’s Light is withdrawn, leaving you in Great Darkness and Epochal Chaos and Suffering beyond description.

Last Call: “So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day] …

Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. Be aware that the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested [in your faith], and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful to the point of death [if you must die for your faith], and I will give you the crown [consisting] of life.” – ACTS 3:19; REVELATION 2:10, AMP
