SPECIAL PRÉCIS ON THE SUPREME BLESSING OF SIGHT IN THE DARKNESS OF THE LAST TIMES

SCRIPTURE. “But blessed [spiritually aware, and favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, many prophets and righteous men [who were honorable and in right standing with God] longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.” – MATTHEW 13:16-17, AMP

KEY TERM: “YOUR EYES SEE!” ‘Blepo’ [βλέπουσιν]: “A primary verb meaning, ‘To behold, beware, look on, perceive, regard; to take heed of, have the faculty of sight [and spiritual insight].’” NOTE: “Strong’s Greek 991 (βλέπω) gathers the ideas of looking, seeing, perceiving, considering, guarding, and discerning. It moves easily from literal eyesight to spiritual insight, from the simple act of noticing to the moral duty of careful watchfulness. The word’s 132 New Testament appearances span Gospel Narrative, Apostolic Exhortation, and Apocalyptic Vision, binding together many strands of Biblical Theology.”

COMMENTARY.  “‘But blessed are your eyes,’ &c. — For you both see and hear, and understand. You have not only greater opportunities of instruction than others, but you both know how to prize, and are concerned to improve them. ‘For verily I say unto you, That many prophets’ — Who prophesied of the coming of the Messiah; ‘and righteous men’ — To whom God familiarly showed Himself, and made known His will, as He did to Abraham and the patriarchs; ‘and many kings,’ Luke 10:24; from whose seed the Messiah was to spring, and whose kingdoms and persons were types of Him and His Kingdom, ‘have desired to see’ — Before their eyes, ‘those things which ye thus see, and have not seen them,’ they only seeing them afar off in the Promises made to them concerning these days. DK’S TAKE. We have all of us become deeply vexed in our souls over what has happened to America since DONALD TRUMP seized control of political power. I realize this presents us with an unprecedented challenge to not only remain strong but also hold on to our Joy and Hope in the midst of this agonizing Time of Darkness and Deception.

Yet I have also heard many of you say: ‘I thank God for the rise of Donald Trump, since that forced me to take stock of my faith, and therefore I have enormous gratitude and yes, joy in the journey as my eyes are now open.’

DIVINE PRIVILEGE. I propose to you all that serving Christ in this Era of Antichrist is possibly the Greatest Honor the Lord could confer upon our generation. THREE REASONS for this have become apparent to me during the past ten years.

1. BLESSED. The very Greek term used in our passage today is powerful evidence of the high honor of serving God in the Last Days. ‘Makarios’ [μακάριοι] is defined as: “Supremely favored; fortunate, well off, happy, well-spoken of [in Heavenly realms].” Importantly, then, this word identifies the state of being under the unprecedented ‘Favor of Christ,’ producing a ‘Unique Joy’ that springs from relationship with Him rather than from present, perilous circumstances. From the sense that God trusts us with this mission.

• EMBOLDENED. There is also the Divine Promise that God will specially enable those of us called to this Last Mission at the End of the Age of Grace, just prior to the Great Tribulation. The Prophet Amos for example writes: “And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even upon the menservants and upon the maidservants in those days will I pour out My Spirit. And I will show signs and wonders in the heavens, and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke.” – (AMOS 2:28-30, AMPC).

• DISTINGUISHED. Of all the honors God could possibly bestow on a person, the utterly Unique Distinction of being chosen as and instructed in the very Ways of Christ, our own King as we His true children. One theologian once proclaimed that had God raised us any higher, we’d have breached the very Godhead! “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” – 1 PETER 2:9-10, AMP

CODA. This is why you hear me say fairly often, beloved: “Best job I ever had.” Because it just is! For all the reasons enumerated above, so much more that defy human understanding. Never have I had a clearer, more incandescent ‘Sense of Divine Purpose and Vision’ that enables me to Understand the Times as with Issachar, and know who Donald Trump is, and Prepare accordingly, and boldly!

Antichrist, Man of Sin. The Lawless One. Foretold by the Law and the Prophets and the Apostles and Christ Himself, beloved.

Therefore I close with His own Words: “Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near!” (Luke 21:28, Amplified).

This Great Promise to His Faithful Remnant, whose Pleasures in Eternity are wondrous and stunning beyond human description!  Selah.
