FINAL NOTE TO AMERICA’S RENEGADE (GRAHAMATIZED) CHURCH: ‘COME OUT OF BABYLON, LEST YOU RECEIVE OF HER PLAGUES!’ (WITH VIDEO)

THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “‘Hear this! FLEE FROM [BABYLON], THE LAND OF THE NORTH [which shall come under judgment],’ declares the Lord, ‘for I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens,’ declares the Lord. ‘Hear, Zion (Jerusalem)! ESCAPE, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon!”” – ZECHARIAH 2:6, AMP

KEY TERMS:

“FLEE!” ‘Nus!’ [וְנֻ֛סוּ]: “A primitive root, ‘To flit, vanish away; escape, deliver; put to flight; to put to flight by lifting up a standard.’” NOTE: “The verb נוּס appears about one hundred fifty-nine times across the Old Testament, creating a unified picture of people, armies, nations, and even shadows, ‘Taking sudden flight!’ Whether the action is literal retreat on a battlefield or figurative withdrawal from danger, every occurrence highlights the tension between human frailty and Divine Sovereignty. Scripture repeatedly shows that flight may be either the fearful response of the guilty or the purposeful act of the protected seeking Refuge in the Covenant-Keeping LORD.”

ESCAPE! ‘Malat!’ [הִמָּלְטִ֑י]: “Another primitive root, ‘To be smooth; i.e., by implication, to escape by slipperiness [or craftiness]; to leap out speedily; To Rescue.’” NOTE: “מָלַט (‘malat’) centers on the idea of escaping, slipping away, or being rescued. It can describe an individual’s flight from danger, the sparing of survivors after judgment, or Yahweh’s decisive act of deliverance. The verb may appear in simple, intensive, or causative stems, but the core concept remains: “To be made Safe.’”

QUOTATION. “What the reference to BABYLON THE GREAT riding on a BEAST with SEVEN MOUNTAINS, could refer to instead, however, is the fact that the Earth has seven major land masses, or continents, containing various heights of mountains: Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Australia and Antarctica, each rising up out of the depths of the seas. Since the DAUGHTER OF BABYLON/BABYLON THE GREAT is described as the End Times ‘Hammer of the Whole Earth,’ its depiction as riding on, or having Power or Authority over, the Seven Continents [or ‘Spheres of Influence’] of the Earth makes sense.

‘No prior World Empire could make this claim. The Bible only describes one entity, Babylon the Great, as riding upon the back of the whole world. This was an urgent request because Babylon would be destroyed. And its decadent culture would cause God’s people to forget their spiritual priorities. Many Israelites rejected these warnings and remained in Babylon. ‘Sometimes God calls us out of our COMFORT ZONES because He knows that staying there will be dangerous to us.’” – RONALD A. II. TEACHING

“For there is nothing hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come out into the open.” – LUKE 8:17, AMP

2016: YEAR OF DESTINY. Permit me to personalize the Introduction of this vital matter. As some of you know already, I was working as a full professor of communication and media studies at Liberty University toward the end of a ten-year run in 2016. At the time, I was penning a mere paucity of commentaries on the upcoming Presidential Election of that year, increasingly astounded at the rapid rise of DONALD TRUMP.

On reflection ten years later, I can now clearly see THREE DEFIINING EVENTS that ignited the American Bonfire that envelop us today.

“For they sow the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; it shall yield no meal; if it were to yield, strangers and aliens would eat it up.” – HOSEA 8:7, AMPC

JANUARY 26, 2016. I had become somewhat acquainted with then University President JERRY FALWELL JR. and his wife, but certainly not closely. I knew that Falwell was interested in the race and learned that he read some of my columns. (More on that later). In any event, in a breathtaking announcement by Falwell strongly supporting Trump’s candidacy was summarized by an AI Overview on, of all dates, January 26, 2026: ‘This early, KEY ENDORSEMENT helped bridge the gap between Trump and Evangelical voters, with Falwell describing Trump as a “successful executive” and a “consistent” leader similar to his father.’”

JUNE 21, 2016. Later that year, “12” KEY LEADERS (‘False Apostles’) from the Evangelical Community would meet with Trump in New York City in Times Square. Several sources report the epic convocation representing over “1,000” primarily White Evangelical leading lights was organized by BEN CARSON, along with then Liberty University’s then-Rev. JOHNNIE MOORE and lawyer SEALY YATES. The Event was officially hosted by faith-based organizations United in Purpose (led by convicted felon, BILL DALLAS), and Sealy’s organization, My Faith Votes. Leaders who met with the candidate included such national big guns as: FRANKLIN GRAHAM, MIKE HUCKABEE, JERRY FALWELL, JR., TONY PERKINS, JAMES DOBSON, RALPH REED, ROBERT JEFFRESS, and MICHELLE BACHMAN.

DECEMBER 29, 2016. By the time Franklin Graham had completed his 50-State Decision America Tour in December 2016, Christian America’s Fate was sealed when he agreed to give President-Elect Trump’s Benediction at Trump’s upcoming Inauguration on January 20, 2017. Religion News (Dec. 30, 2016) reported Graham’s prayerful reflections prior to the Inaugural Event that would change the world forever. “I’m taking time just to pray and ask God to give me wisdom and guidance because it’s a responsibility that I take very seriously … Even though Donald Trump has some rough edges, there’s something inside of him that desires the counsel of Christian men and women, and I don’t know one Christian on Hillary Clinton’s team … I think maybe God has allowed Donald Trump to win this election to protect this nation for the next few years by giving maybe an opportunity to have some good judges.”

COVENANT WITH DEATH. As I wrestled with just how to summarize the contents of the JUNE 21 MEETING, I decided to just report much of the actual transcriptof what was said and by whom. NPR Washington Desk Correspondent SARAH MCCAMMON give us a compelling eye-witness account in her piece, “Inside Trump’s Closed-Door Meeting, Held To Reassure ‘The Evangelicals’” (June 21, 2016; edited).

“THE SIMPLETON [‘pthiy,’ פֶּ֭תִי – ‘naïve, seducible, uninformed’] believes every word he hears, but the prudent man looks and considers well where he is going. A wise man suspects danger and cautiously avoids evil, but the fool bears himself insolently and is [presumptuously] confident. He who foams up quickly and flies into a passion deals foolishly, and a man of wicked plots and plans is hated. The simple acquire folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. The evil men bow before the good, and the wicked [stand suppliantly] at the gates of the [uncompromisingly] righteous.” – PROVERBS 14:15-19, AMPC

“Most Donald Trump Events kick off with music from Elton John or the Rolling Stones at deafening volumes. But praise choruses ruled the day Tuesday as hundreds of conservative Christians gathered at a hotel in Times Square to question Trump.

Under glittering pink-and-white chandeliers, evangelicals and conservative Catholics filled the large ballroom, some raising their hands and closing their eyes as they sang, ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of God/And his righteousness/And all these things shall be added unto you.’ The meeting was Closed-Door and Invitation-Only, but NPR was granted permission to observe the event.

As soon as Trump entered the room, it quickly became clear this was a largely friendly audience. The moderator, former Republican presidential hopeful and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, told Trump this would not be an ‘Inquisition,’ but rather people had come because they want someone who will “lead this nation out of the abyss.”

Organizer Bill Dallas of the Christian group United in Purpose says the event was designed to give religious conservatives, some of whom have had concerns about Trump, a chance to ‘understand’ him better before the November election. It started out as a meeting for about 100 leaders but quickly grew to nearly 1,000 after a ‘tidal wave’ of interest.

‘That shows we all love each other,’ Trump told the group.

Huckabee began by asking Trump about his family, saying that he’d seen them up close: ‘People can fake it on stage, they can walk out and do the happy family moment, but you can’t fake that backstage.’

Trump thanked Huckabee for the ‘nice question,’ and said, ‘I have great children … Through God they were born intelligent, they all went to great colleges.’ He added that he always advised them all to avoid alcohol, drugs and smoking.

Trump drew applause for another bit of parenting advice: ‘If they do go to church, and if they start at a young age, that’s a tremendous asset … because you don’t see that as much today … That’s not so automatic anymore.’

Trump then turned to what Evangelical Leaders have told him is a top priority – ‘Religious Freedom.’ Many conservative Christians say they feel threatened by lawsuits aimed at requiring business owners to provide services for same-sex weddings, restrictions on prayer in public schools, and a growing move to allow transgender people to use the restrooms they choose.

‘The next president is going to be very vital … in freeing up your religion, freeing up your thoughts,’ Trump said. ‘You really don’t have religious freedom.’ Trump said ministers, in particular, are ‘petrified’ of talking about politics because of IRS rules barring groups like churches that receive charitable tax exemptions from engaging in political advocacy.

‘We are gonna get rid of that,’ Trump said, though he did not specify how he’d change the law. Pastors aren’t allowed to endorse candidates from the pulpit, but that rule is rarely enforced.

Fresh from a smaller group meeting between Trump and about 40 key leaders, Nebraska businessman Charles Herbster announced, ‘We just spent time with the next president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.’

Trump had just met with members of the Steering Committee that helped organize the event — including Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, psychologist and radio host James Dobson, Bob Vander Plaats of The Family Leader and longtime activist Gary Bauer.

From that room, the Rev. E.W. Jackson tweeted a video of a moment where Trump questioned Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s faith, saying we don’t know ‘anything about Hillary in terms of religion. You know, she’s been in the public eye for years and years, and yet there’s no, there’s nothing out there, there’s, like, nothing out there.’

Trump continued: ‘You can pray for your leaders, and I agree with that — pray for everyone — but what you really have to do is you have to pray to get everyone out to vote for one specific person.’

Clinton has spoken openly about her Methodist faith, and often campaigns in black churches. Event organizer Dallas, CEO of the group United in Purpose, says he will issue a similar invitation to Clinton to meet with Christian leaders, probably in the next couple of weeks.

For about an hour on Tuesday, Trump took questions from a pre-selected handful of Christian leaders, among them Dobson, outgoing Southern Baptist Convention President Ronnie Floyd and Perkins.

The Rev. Sammy Rodriguez, who leads a network of Latino churches, told Trump, ‘We are not in favor of amnesty, but you talked about building a wall … There is an idea in the Latino community that you have no commitment whatsoever in building a bridge with the Hispanic American community.’

Trump responded by repeating a common theme from the campaign trail — the importance of border security — and added that he has “thousands” of Latinos working with him, who are ‘phenomenal people.’

Dobson asked one of several questions about Religious Freedom, to which Trump reiterated his promise to appoint conservative Supreme Court justices. He said he would soon announce several more potential nominees to the court, to go along with the 11 he’s already suggested.

‘They will be great intellects, talented men at what they do — and women — but also be pro-life,’ Trump said. In that answer, Trump took aim at his Democratic rival: ‘If Hillary gets in … we know exactly what’s gonna happen. We’re gonna end up being a different country … a Venezuela.’”

III. (NOT) “BILLY’S BOY”

“But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless WORD they speak. For by your WORDS [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your WORDS [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced.” – JESUS OF NAZARETH, Matthew 12:36-37, Amplified

WILLIAM FRANKLIN GRAHAM III (born July 14, 1952) is an American evangelist and missionary in the Evangelical Movement. He frequently engages in Christian revival tours and political commentary. The son of Billy Graham, he is president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization.

Under his leadership, Samaritan’s Purse has become a leading global Christian relief organization, providing emergency assistance in crisis zones worldwide, including large-scale responses in Ukraine, Pakistan, and other regions affected by conflict or natural disasters. Graham has been considered as one of the most influential and best-known evangelicals in America, leading one of the largest charitable organizations in the United States, with $1.11 billion in private donations. And he is also an ardent SUPPORTER of President Donald Trump to this very day.

I therefore turn to THREE INCENDIARY CRITIQUES, all by conservative Evangelical authors, that throw down severely with Mr. Graham III over his catastrophic absence of Christian integrity. Especially for his undying affections for the most corrupt president in all of American history.

And as some argue with copious documentation, he therefore spiritually beds down with the BIBLICAL ANTICHRIST, leading tens of millions to do the same and thereby lead them to The Fires of Perdition. Selah.

CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST. “‘To understand the insidious nature of Christian Nationalism, look no further than Franklin Graham’s appearance at the Republican National Convention last night [July 18, 2024].’ Graham already has demonstrated he knows no shame in endorsing, blessing and lionizing the most corrupt president in American history, yet people continue to send his nonprofits millions of dollars, enriching him as one of our most highly paid partisan preachers. At the RNC July 18, he appeared after Hulk Hogan and before Donald Trump. He was supposed to pray but gave as much of a speech as he did a prayer. His claim that he was speaking as a ‘private citizen’ was meaningless to separate his public comments from both Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which he leads. Graham joined the chorus of other Evangelical Preachers who believe God intentionally spared Trump from an assassin’s bullets last weekend in Pennsylvania: ‘Last Saturday in Butler, Pa., President Trump had a near-death experience, no question, but God spared his life.’” – MARK WINGFIELD, “Franklin Graham is the Poster Child for Christian Nationalism — and He’s a Liar,” Baptist News, July 19, 2024; edited

CHRISTIAN BLASPHEMER. “‘According to the newspaper in his father’s hometown of Charlotte, N.C., Franklin Graham thinks the 10 Republican congressional leaders who voted to impeach President Trump were like JUDAS, who betrayed JESUS.’ ‘The House Democrats impeached him because they hate him and want to do as much damage as they can,’ Graham posted on Facebook on Jan. 14, [2021]. ‘And these 10, from (Trump’s) own party, joined in the feeding frenzy. It makes you wonder what the thirty pieces of silver were that Speaker Pelosi promised for this betrayal.’

‘Of course, the 30 pieces of silver is a reference to the money Jesus’ enemies paid to his disciple Judas Iscariot as a reward for betraying where Jesus could be found and arrested far from the masses of his adoring followers’ (See Matthew 26:15). ‘To suggest that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is somehow equivalent to the Jewish chief priest is itself bad hermeneutics, for it implies that rather than holding President Trump accountable for his sedition against the United States and his attack on Democracy by inciting a riot, she is plotting to get rid of him because she is jealous of his popularity or fearful of losing her own prominence’ …

It’s hard to predict if any consequences will be leveled against Graham for his ‘Blasphemous Bluster.’ But the statement should not be ignored. CHRISTIAN FASCIST. “‘The Rev. Franklin Graham accused Demonstrators protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, following the death of Renee Good in Minneapolis, of being “underpinned” by Radical Socialist Forces.’ In a Saturday Facebook post, the 73-year-old evangelist and son of the late Billy Graham asserted the protests were part of a Left-Wing attempt to destabilize the country.

‘Have you seen the reports of Protesters — or “Paid Agitators” — chanting unbelievable things like, “Save a life, kill ICE!” or “Kristi Noem will hang?” Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, asked his 11 million Facebook followers. The protests we see across the country right now are underpinned by the Radical Socialist Left, whose goal is to make the United States like Venezuela, ultimately destroying the America we know. Now if that were not enough, I add Graham’s most recent shockingly seditions words. Brace yourselves, beloved. Here he has truly outdone himself, this Legacy of the great American Evangelist, Billly Graham.

ON ALEX PRETTI’S MURDER. “‘We are watching a city freeze over, yet burn with a fire that is not of this world.’ Franklin Graham said, his voice low and heavy, cutting through the silence of the broadcast studio …

‘My heart breaks for the family of Alex Pretti,’ Graham continued, taking off his glasses and holding them, a gesture of solemnity. ‘To lose a son, a healer, a nurse… that is a grief no parent should bear. We must pray for them. We must pray for comfort.’

He put the glasses back on, his expression hardening.

‘But make no mistake. The tragedy of one man’s death is being hijacked by a Spirit of Rebellion that seeks to tear this nation apart at the seams.’

The host leaned in. ‘Reverend, the Governor is calling this a Federal Overreach. People are saying the Agents were out of control.’

Graham didn’t blink.

‘Governor Walz is looking at this through a Political lens. I am looking at it through a Spiritual one. You have Federal Agents in that city because the local leaders surrendered the streets long ago. When you abdicate your duty to maintain order, you invite Chaos. And now, because of a tragic, heartbreaking split-second decision in the bitter cold, we see the forces of anarchy descending like vultures.’

He pointed a finger at the camera, tapping the air for emphasis.

‘God has ordained government to wield the sword against evil. Romans 13 tells us that the authorities are God’s servants. Are they perfect? No. They are men. They are fallible. But to take this incident—this singular, painful moment—and use it to demonize the men and women who stand on that thin line between civilization and savagery? That is a lie from the pit.’

‘They are calling it Justice, Reverend,’ the host interjected.

‘They call it Justice, but it looks like Vengeance,’ Graham countered, his voice rising with that familiar, textured Southern cadence. ‘You look at the fruit. Is the fruit of these protests peace? Is it healing? No. It is Division. It is Hatred against Federal Officers who wake up every morning to protect this country. They want you to believe that the badge is the enemy. That is the deception.’

He leaned back, shaking his head sadly.

‘The Enemy of our souls loves a vacuum. He loves it when we tear down our Protectors. You remove the Federal presence from Minneapolis, you remove the restraint, and what do you have left? You don’t have Utopia. You have Hell on Earth.’

Graham looked directly into the lens, his tone softening but remaining urgent.

‘America, do not be deceived by the anger you see on your screens. Mourn for Alex Pretti. Pray for his soul [sic].’ But do not let your grief be weaponized against the Rule of Law. Without law, there is no mercy. Without order, there is no justice. We need to stop shouting at the Federal buildings and start kneeling before God, because He is the only One who can heal a wound this deep.’”

IV. FINAL THOUGHTS

“And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called JUDAS, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, ‘Judas, are you BETRAYING [‘paradidómi,’ παραδίδως-deliver over to one’s enemy’] the Son of Man with a kiss?’” – LUKE 22:47-48, AMP

I will cut straight to this most glaring example of Spiritual Sedition of the Christian Gospel in memory. And it has most recently and brazenly been at the hands of the arguably de facto Leader of the entire American Evangelical Community, WILLIAM FRANKLIN GRAHAM III.

AMERICAN BABYLON. In previous Commentary, I, along with DR. STEVEN ANDERSON and JOHN PRICE cited earlier, argue that the United States of America is the “THE GREAT CITY” of Revelation 18:10 that will be destroyed, “in one hour.”

Dr. Anderson rightly observed after many years of research and personal persecution:

“In summary, the Book of Revelation describes Babylon the Great as the Dominant Superpower in the world of the End Times—so dominant, that it actually shapes the culture and economy of the world as it exists at the start of the tribulation period.

‘The nature and scope of Babylon the Great’s dominance is such that only one such entity could ever exist in the history of the world, and there is no doubt that the United States of America is this entity.’ While some aspects of the prophecy remain to be fulfilled—most notably the prophecies of Babylon the Great’s attempts to put Christians to death worldwide (Rev. 17:6; 18:20, 24; 19:2)—enough aspects already match so as to leave no doubt as to the fulfillment of the rest.” – “The Case for Identifying Babylon the Great with the United States of America,” Truth Only Bible, Oct. 29, 2021; edited

BEAST OF BABYLON. Further, I have proposed, along with Brother Paul and a precious few other Biblical scholars and teachers, that ‘DONALD TRUMP is the BIBLICAL ANTICHRIST.’ I am presently more convinced of that theological and political reality than when I first began to propose around 2020. Now stay with me for what I believe is an unassailable conclusion.

‘Come Out of Babylon!’ Should my analysis both here and in the previous five years prove accurate, then it logically – and chillingly – follows that “Coming Out of Babylon” translates, quite simply and urgently as:

‘Renouncing ALL allegiance to or alliance with Donald Trump’s MAGA Christian Nationalism Movement. The PENALTY for refusing such Renunciation is Eternal Punishment.’

To anchor my case, and that of my colleagues, though we be few, I ask you to read every single word in the passage below, spoken to the Apostle John at Patmos.

“But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist truth], their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death …

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues; or her sins (crimes, transgressions) have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and crimes [for judgment].’” – REVELATION 21:8; 18:4-5 AMP

CODA. Now then, if you should have any serious questions about the veracity of what is written here, I suggest you take those questions, with Bible and a notepad firmly in hand, straight to the Father of Lights, in Whom there is no shadow of turning, and whose Yes shall be “YES!” and Whose No shall forever be, “NO!”
