LEAVING BABYLON: A PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF BREAKING FREE OF THE MAGA CULT – (WITH VIDEO)

I. THEOLOGY

ALL: I recently received a very special “Letter from Chelsey,” a former diehard Trump Christian Nationalist and QAnon advocate and was deeply moved when I read it. I could not help but share it with you, to possibly be shared by you with family, friends, and pastors who are still deceived. DK

SCRIPTURE. “After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his splendor and radiance. And he shouted with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen [certainly to be destroyed] is BABYLON THE GREAT! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a dungeon haunted by every unclean spirit, and a prison for every unclean and loathsome bird. For all the nations have drunk from the wine of the passion of her [sexual] immorality, and the kings and political leaders of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealthy and economic power of her sensuous luxury. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

‘COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues; for her sins (crimes, transgressions) have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and crimes [for judgment]. Repay to her even as she has repaid others, and pay back [to her] double [her torment] in accordance with what she has done; in the cup [of sin and suffering] which she mixed, mix a double portion [of perfect justice] for her.To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled and gloated in her sensuality [living deliciously and luxuriously], to that same degree impose on her torment and anguish, and mourning and grief; for in her heart she boasts, ‘I sit as a queen [on a throne] and I am not a widow, and will never, ever see mourning or experience grief.’ 

For this reason in a single day her plagues (afflictions, calamities) will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire and completely consumed; for strong and powerful is the Lord God who judges her.” – REVELATION 18:1-8, AMP

II. STORY

Hello and Good Evening, Sir:

I started watching your videos as of, I’d say a year now, when someone mentioned you on Brother Paul’s channel. I just wanted to take a second and give a bit of testimony if you don’t mind. Watching your last few videos has me really appreciating what God has done in the lives of my family and I.

As of right before the Midterm Elections before the 2024 Presidential, my family and I were Christian Nationalists. I more so than they, I was a stay-at home mom with nothing to do besides fill my head with political nonsense. Where I would pour over Scripture and intense prayer in the mornings after everyone was off to their places for the day, then immediately turn on a podcast/news (Bongino, x22, Salty Cracker, Fox News, etc. etc.). while taking my courses at Hillsdale and preparing for my run at Republican Senate in my area. Because to me my congressman wasn’t “MAGA” enough! We went to EVERY rally that was in close proximity. We voted for him twice. Our children debated hard with classmates/teachers about the freedom he brought to us in this country, and we separated from family and friends who looked at him with distaste.

We would spend nights pouring over Scripture with our children and even other children from the neighborhood; thinking we were doing them a favor by Bible studying with them, all the while twisting it into a political conversation thinking that the two somehow coincided. Where Trump was viewed almost as Jesus and America our saving grace.

Every inch of our home and wardrobe was covered in his name or image. Our cars were covered in magnets and stickers speaking of just how “great” America was and how my gas couldn’t get any cheaper. While searching for a church in our new neighborhood that would portray America as we saw it: “A beacon of hope, security” and where Jesus definitely would live and vote for Trump!  We would cuss and scream as we debated others who viewed this place with contempt and Trump as anything other than saintly then give them a “God bless you” as we left. 

TILL ONE DAY while studying The Prophets, home alone sitting in my study (while, mind you, listening to political podcasts) I heard something about him in the podcast as I read. Then I audibly heard a voice say, “He is the Antichrist.” I shut my Bible so fast, shook my head in disbelief and turned my podcast up louder. I heard it again. This time I chose to sit in silence, I opened The Book, scanned the pages where I knew the Scriptures were, tears started streaming with my hand over my mouth and I said, “My God what have I done?”

It took everything in me to cook dinner and prepare for my husband and 6 kids to come home. When they did, after eating, I took my husband to the garage and we sat down in our usual hangout spot. He looked at me and said, “Don’t get mad ok. Just hear me out. I think Trump is the Antichrist.” My heart almost stopped, I couldn’t speak and I had to check that I was alive before I spoke. I reiterated my day to him and what I heard and he likewise couldn’t believe it. Neither of us mentioned that before, neither of us watched ANY videos or podcasts or heard anyone tell us that before. We were WAYY too deep into MAGA. I was even an “Anon,” part of the Q.

This New Thought wasn’t one we had been thinking of and just now realized … It was almost blasphemous to us. So, for us both to have separate accounts where the Father spoke to us in our spirits was nothing other than Him. We shut off the TV and had no screen time for weeks Bible studying trying to help our kids and undoing what we had done.  We looked for another new home in the country, threw out the tv, turned off the Internet and took the kids out of school, starting our homeschooling. We threw out EVERYTHING with his name, image, the flag, political books and anything that remotely talked about anything more than Christ.

We didn’t vote again, we started searching for a church that had just as much distaste for this country and its leader as we did. And now 31 churches and 2 states later still are without a “home,” but … Our relationship with our Savior, our Father and His Spirit are magnificent! We love Him more than we ever have! We have become apologeticists and preach HARDagainst Christian Nationalism and the other religion people deny exists which is “Patriotism.”

So all that just to say we applaud you and your efforts to teach those who need it because it won’t be long now and we will be seeing our Savior coming to get us all and thanking Him face to face that He saved us from such a wretched death and from the words, “I do not know you. Depart from Me you worker of iniquity!”

III. IMPLICATIONS

If we are correct about who Donald Trump and America truly, Biblically, are, then you have a very great deal to consider, beloved. The POWERFUL CONFIRMATION between the independent Revelations to Chelsey and her husband given in a miraculous manner and the Scripture I just read to you are, for me at least, impossible to dismiss.

So let me close with some sobering thoughts of what it is that we actually face in the days just ahead. To do so, I turn to a penetrating essay by TANYA KOENIG, a highly regarded Swiss TV presenter, broadcast journalist, moderator, show host, interviewer, and digital video producer.

Her clearly Christian analysis is titled, “Prayer is Now the Key for America” (June 16, 2026; edited).

• OPEN. “President Trump’s statement at the G7 in Évian-les-Bains, France, may prove more serious than the Iran MOU itself  [Memorandum of Understanding, 14 Point Plan, June 17, 2026]. Speaking before the nations, in the middle of a crisis involving Israel, Lebanon, Hezbollah, Iran, and the future of the region, he said: ‘Without the United States there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel.’”

• MEGALOMANIA [‘A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of omnipotence, grandiosity, power, and inflated self-esteem. It is an obsession with greatness and the drive to dominate others.’ Oxmed Doximity, May 30, 2013]. “Those words cannot be dismissed as ordinary political exaggeration. They cross a line no ruler should approach. Israel does not exist because of a president, an empire, a military alliance, or a diplomatic achievement. Israel exists because the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob ‘Keeps Covenant.’ The Rebirth of Israel in 1948 was not the result of one man’s ego or one administration’s generosity; it was the fulfillment of the Word of God in history. Leaders and nations may be used as instruments, but no man can claim the glory for what God has promised and performed.”

• PRECEDENT. The passage that immediately came to my spirit was Daniel 4. Nebuchadnezzar looked over Babylon and said, ‘Is not this GREAT BABYLON, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?’ While the word was still in the king’s mouth, Heaven answered. The most powerful ruler of his generation was driven from men, stripped of his dignity, and humbled until he learned that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He wills.

• HARBINGER. “That passage is not ancient history only. It is a Warning written for rulers, empires, and nations that confuse stewardship with ownership. ‘Nebuchadnezzar’s sin was not that Babylon was powerful. His sin was that he looked at what Heaven had allowed him to govern and spoke as though it existed by his own hand.’ When a president speaks over Israel as though her survival depends on him, he is not merely exaggerating his record. He is touching the glory of the God of Israel.”

• TRUMP. “Trump’s words belong near Daniel 4, not near the Covenant Promises of God. ‘Without me, there would be no Israel’ is the kind of boast Heaven has already answered in Scripture. Nebuchadnezzar learned that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of men. Every ruler who touches Israel must learn the same. Israel does not exist because of Trump. Israel does not exist because of America. ‘Israel exists because the God of Israel is Faithful.’ The Danger now is not only Iran’s Deception, Hezbollah’s Violence, or the Weakness of an MOU. The Danger is that a president who once served as an instrument of blessing for Israel may now speak as though he is the Source of Israel’s survival. ‘That is the line no ruler should cross.’”

DK NOTE. While the deeply thoughtful and brilliant Ms. Koenig concludes that President Trump, America, and Netanyahu’s Israel need both Mercy and Prayer, I have come to an ALTERNATIVE CONCLUSION, stated in my remarks that follow.

Donald Trump is, arguably, the Antichrist. The United States of America is, arguably, Babylon the Great.  Both America and Israel are inarguably in full, parallel Rebellion against the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and, of course, Yeshua ben David, the Jewish Messiah. Consequently, PRAYER is surely needed but not for the Oppressors, but for their VICTIMS.

“Learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” – ISAIAH 1:17, AMPC

America and Israel are now the world’s most dangerous nations on the earth in this hour, therefore our entire focus must be on the ‘RESCUE’ of the brutalized, beloved. Not the pursuit and acquisition of more political power! Most especially, we are called to protect the very ‘Least of the least of these’–

The Children!

“But [Jesus] said, ‘LEAVE THE CHILDREN ALONE! Allow the little ones to come to Me, and do not forbid or restrain or hinder them, for of such [as these] is the kingdom of heaven composed.’” – MATTHEW 19:14, AMPC

IV. LAST THOUGHTS

RESISTING CAESAR. White Evangelicals have been exhaustively instructed to “Obey Caesar”far beyond the myopic hermeneutical confines of ROMANS 13:1: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.’’

And do not resist such authority. Ever!

But is that what the Great Apostle was teaching, beloved? Writing for Christianity Today in a piece titled, “When Obeying God Means Resisting Rulers” (Feb. 6, 2025; edited), LÉO LEHMANN does not think so. Here are THREE CLOSING THOUGHTS from this former Brussels pastor, now serving as a freelance writer, editor, and translator.

1. OPEN. “Biblical teaching generally pushes Christians to advocate for submission to authorities, whether in Politics or in the Church. Paul’s words are often quoted:‘Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established’ (Rom. 13:1). Yet other Scriptures suggest that our loyalty to those in power should be understood in relation to our ‘Ultimate Allegiance to God.’”
2.  TRUTH.  “Famous examples in the Old Testament include Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were sentenced to death for refusing to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s Golden Image (Dan. 3:16–18), and Daniel, who was convicted for defying the King’s Decree against praying to God instead of him. In the New Testament, when Peter and John were thrown into prison for refusing to comply with the Authority’s command to stop preaching in Jesus’ name, they stood firm, saying, ‘We must obey God rather than human beings’ (Acts 5:29; see John 19:11).”
3. OBEDIENCE. “Many historical examples, including the tragic fate of Dietrich Bonhoeffer himself, prove that RESISTANCE TO EVIL is not without risk … Whatever the scale, every generation of believers will face abusive leaders who devalue what God cherishes and damage what God created. But in every Age, we are called to align with God’s Living Truth over the destructive lies of earthly powers.”

CLOSE. From America’s obscene coverup of the Epstein Child Sexual Abuse Cult to Israel’s new policy of Targeting and Executing Children as part of the Genocide of the Palestinian people, GOD COMMANDS:

“Whoever does not welcome you, nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or city, shake the dust [of it] off your feet [in contempt, BREAKING ALL TIES] … [Therefore] COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!
