“And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, THE PRINCE OF ROSH, of Meshech, and of Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince (ruler) of Rosh, of Meshech, and of Tubal. 1. FIRST THOUGHTS

RUSSIA. That massive, sprawling 11 time zone Colossus, was once described by Winston Churchill in 1939 as “A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.” During my visit there in 1993, I was to learn firsthand of that great Truth.

While working with the Children of Chernobyl with businessman and mentor, Jim Santo, we would in 12 short days discover some of Russia’s heart and soul, amplified by my fast read of Rutherfurd’s rangy and eloquent Novel.

Motoring our way south of Moscow through the Kaluga Region one afternoon, I recall being stopped at a crossroads with armed guards holding their AK47s at the ready, grim-faced, asking us where we were headed. Stupidly, I grabbled my little Instamatic camera to snap a pic, and what happened next told a million stories.

Our guide, Ludmilla’s face turned to horror, as she lunged at my camera, snatching it from my cocked and ready hands, and in a shout-whisper in thick Russian accents, exclaimed: 

“Cliff, No! You are in Russia now!”

Indeed, I was. And there are those who believe we are ‘In Russia,’ even now, as her Marxist-birthed, long, historic designs on America are coming to some dark fruition these days – and I am one of them. 

Thus, the following comments regarding the President’s inarguable 30 plus year ties to Russia. 

2. TRUMP AND RUSSIA

I recall reading, for example, some remarks by Donald Trump, Jr. made about the family dealings in Russia in 2008.

“In terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. Say, in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo, and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.” – BRENNAN WEISS, ‘Business Insider,’ February 21, 2018; edited

But that’s only the beginning.

FOUR UNDENIABLE FACTS. To add fuel to this historic, political fire, here is some additional documentation of these longstanding Russian ties to America’s most serious and immediate threat to National Security: 

Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

Adapted from an article by Lehigh University historian, ,MATTHEW ROZSA, entitled, “Donald Trump’s Connections to Russia, Explained,” published in ‘Salon,’ August 19, 2019, he lists Five Things we clearly know about this issue. 

I chose to review The Four most significant of them that cannot be neatly tucked away ‘neath a “Fake news!” Narrative. Except of course, by the hard core, Worshipful Base to which he so mystically and intractably appeals, of course. 

1. NOT MCARTHYISM. “The main thing that has not changed since the 1950s is that Russia — the main nation behind the former Soviet Union — is still America’s Adversary…At the same time, the claim that Trump is connected to Russia is not being motivated by ideological conflation. It is based on solid evidence akin to that which was assembled against the Soviet spies who infiltrated the American government during the Cold War, like Alger Hiss, who Richard Nixon helped expose when he was a legislator from California.”

2. IT ALL STARTED WITH MONEY. “Remember when Trump’s main claim to fame was his multiple corporate bankruptcies? After major banks stopped lending Trump money due to his multiple bankruptcies, the desperate businessman started turning to Russian financial interests with close ties to the Putin regime in order to continue funding his various business ventures. Exactly how many Trump ventures are connected to Russia? We cannot know for sure, because the president has been opaque about his business dealings, but they certainly include Trump Soho, a Trump resort in Phoenix and two Trump projects in Fort Lauderdale. A Trump building constructed in Panama almost exclusively served wealthy Russian clients and was described to NBC News ‘as a magnet for international organized crime, particularly from Russia.’”

3. THE MUELLER REPORT’S LINKS TO RUSSIA. “Although the 448-page Mueller report determined that the Trump campaign did not conspire with Russia to influence the outcome of election, it laid out irrefutable links between the two. Trump surrounded himself with people who were connected to Russia, including his former national security Michael Flynn. The Mueller report stated that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and political consultant Rick Gates provided polling information to someone they believed to be a Russian spy, and Trump foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos tried to arrange meetings between the future president and Putin.

4. TRUMP’S FRIENDLY RHETORIC. “As [former Democrat Ambassador to Russia, Jack] McFaul…told Salon in June, ‘What I do know is that things that the president says serves Russia’s national interest, as defined by Putin. I want to be very clear about that: As defined by Putin.’ It is also worth looking at this observation from Bill Browder, a British businessman who has blown the whistle on Russian government corruption. Here is what he said when he spoke to Salon in January: ‘I think the best comparable would be Pablo Escobar. Putin is a criminal. He’s committed enormous financial crimes of unimaginable magnitude over the last 19 years against his own country. Because he’s committed those crimes, and it was just reported today that 1 in 4 Russians don’t even have an indoor toilet, they’re so poor. Those crimes have impoverished the Russian people. At this point, his only objective is to stay in power, which allows him to keep his money and stay alive.”

IN SUM. While it was not my intent to write so much about the President in this Commentary, the facts literally drove me to do so, in light of the Election of November 3^rd, and where it may lead internationally should Trump somehow survive to pursue his objectives related to Putin’s Russia.

RUSSIA IN THE LAST DAYS. Of all the Gentile nations that are mentioned or directly implicated in the Finals Wars of the Last Days, Russia has no competition for its centrality to the Military Drama that lies ahead of us. Without getting bogged down in the endless debates about what I just wrote, I am giving you my largely Unabridged Analysis of who she is, after decades of sifting through the various positions.

Doesn’t mean I am right, but the probabilities are with me.

3. THE TEACHING: EZEKIEL 38

In this epic passage of clearly Prophetic Scripture (though the Hermeneutic Schools of Historicism, Idealism, and especially Preterism will deny it), we are drawn to the very Edges of ‘The End of History As We Know It.’ – cf. KELLY, ‘The Sixth Seal,’ 2017

So let’s take a breath, and prepare to dive in – your Bible and a Regional Map ideally close by – as we closely examine this Third Conflict: ‘EZEKIEL’S WAR.’

• GOG (& MAGOG). Here we have Hebrew reference, somewhat uniquely, to Three Historical Definitions. (1) a Reubenite, grandson of Noah, ruler over the first Iranians or Scythians and descended from Joel; cf. 1 Chronicles 5:4 & Josephus. (2) A Last Days Symbolic one, fitted to an End Time identity in both this passage and Revelation; cf. Revelation 20:8-9.  (3) A literal, National Power most historians associate with early Russia, through whom God executes furious Defense of Israel in the Last Days.

• THE PRINCE OF ROSH. The root term here is, ‘Rosh’ [רֹאשׁ]: “Head, chief or leader, captain; top of first rank; the highest and supreme.” Also: “Some have supposed that the Russians are here meant, as one of the three Scythian tribes of whom Magog was the prince. They invaded the land of Judah in the days of Josiah. Herodotus, the Greek historian, says: “For twenty-eight years the Scythians [proto-Russian Iranians] ruled over Asia, and things were turned upside down by their violence and contempt.” – cf. • MESHECH (& TUBAL). The primary term here, ‘Meshek’ [מֶשֶׁךְ], variously refers to: “A son of Japheth, also his descendants and their land; proper name, of a people named, the Moschi [Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, or Southern Russia].” Also: “the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: some render it, ‘Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal’; taking Rosh, as the rest, for the name of a place, a part of Scythia, from whence the Russians came, and had their name.” And: “Gog is said to be the Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, which some have taken to be the ancient names from which come Russia, Moscow, and Tobolsk [Tyumen Oblast, Russia]. This is a fascinating possibility, but by no means proven.” – cf. • GOD IS ‘AGAINST’ THEM. The searing idea here is that the Most High God considers them His enemy. From the Hebrew, ‘El’ [אֵל]: “Preposition as in index of direction; in this context, in defiance of, opposed to; outside [removed from]; direction of a hostile character or relationship; in opposition, noting enmity or disapprobation, contrariety, contradiction, or repugnance; as, to ride against the Wind [of God].” Also: “ God not only sees who are now the enemies of His Church, but he foresees who will be so, and lets them know by his word that he is against them; though they join together, the wicked shall not be unpunished.” – MATTHEW HENRY, ‘Exposition of the Old and New Testaments,’ 6 vols., 1708-1710; edited

• HE ‘TURNS THEM BACK.’ The phrase in the Hebrew is from, ‘Shub’ [שׁוּב]: “To turn around; in this context, to seduce or drive; make them turn or return (toward their punishment).” Also: “I will disappoint all thy designs, and turn thee about as easily as a fisherman masters a great fish, when he hath once fastened the hook into its jaws: see Ezekiel 29:4. ‘And I will bring thee forth — Or, after I have brought thee forth’; that is, after I have so disposed matters that thou hast been induced to come forth out of thine own country, to invade, spoil, and destroy other countries…The words seem to imply a Diverting him from some other enterprise, or else intimate to us, when that mighty power come out, that they are still under God’s control, and He will turn them back from what they intended, that they shall not effect it.” – cf. POOLE, 1685; HENRY, 1718-1710

• WITH A GREAT ARMY. This is the vast “Company” of the Prince of Rosh, and from the Hebrew, is defined by ‘Chayil’ [ חַיִל]: “Strength, efficiency, wealth, army; display of great might or valor; demonstration of force or great power; from a root word [‘chuwl,’ חוּל], meaning to whirl, dance or writhe; cause to tremble or be afraid; to rage, assault; a collection or body of men armed for war, and organized in companies, battalions, regiments, brigades and divisions, under proper officers;   great number; a vast multitude; as an army of locusts or caterpillars (Joel 2:25).” 

o   PERSIA. “Included in this alliance is the kingdom of Persia which, in Ezekiel’s day, was a lesser known power to the east of Babylon.  Today, Persia is known as Iran and exists as one of the greatest threats to the nation of Israel. At no other time in history has there been an alliance where Persia and Russia were united against the land of Israel.”

o ETHIOPIA. “The Hebrew name here is ‘Xwk Kuwsh’ or Cush the ancient name for Ethiopia, this would include the nations south of Egypt. Though Ethiopia is historically a Christian nation, Muslims have made great inroads into gaining power not only in Ethiopia, but also in Sudan.  These nations are united in their hatred for Israel.”

o PUT. “The Hebrew name is Puwt, another ally of Russia and another Islamic nation with a history of being an enemy to the nation of Israel. Libya is an ancient nation founded by Phoenician traders as a colony.  General Hannibal is one of this land’s most famous descendents. a reference to Libya but virtually all the scholars. We must remember Benghazi here, as the place where Libyan hatred has largely spilled itself in the bloody Insurrection of September 11-12, 2012, in which antagonism against the American presence had grown to fever pitch. In the mist of a foreign policy debacle from the Trump administration, four people died: US Ambassador, J. Christoper  Stevens; ISFS USFS officer Sean Smith; CIA contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.”

o GOMER. “This is yet another descendent of Japheth, who is part of the alliance against Israel in the latter days. In Genesis Chapter 10, Japheth is listed as having seven sons; four of them are included in this list as nations who will come against the land of Israel. Gomer is understood by Jews to stand for Germany; the name Germany is thought to have come from the term Gomerland.  In addition, Jews from Germany are known as Ashkenazi Jews, named after Ashkenaz, one of the sons of Gomer.”

o TOGARMAH. “This is another son of Gomer who is noted for trading horses with the merchants of Tyre (Ezekiel 27:14).  This country is identified with Armenia which was known for its horse breeding and trading with Persia and Babylon.  Today Armenia is identified as an ally of both Russia and Persia. The Armenians are an Indo-European language group which has been traced as having migrated into the land of Armenia from east of Asia Minor in the 7^th and 8^th century BC.” – EDITORS, ‘Truthet.com,’ ret. • COME LIKE A STORM. From the Hebrew, ‘Cho,’ or ‘Shoah’ [שׁוֹא], meaning: “To ravage or roar; devastation, ruin, waste; to rush over like a storm; some scholars propose this word as a poetic term for Hell.” Also, and of great significance here, this is the root word for the Jewish Holocaust, further defined this way by the Shoah Memorial website: “Shoah is the Hebrew word for ‘Catastrophe.’ This term specifically means the killing of nearly six million Jews in Europe by Nazi Germany and its collaborators during the Second World War. The English-speaking countries more commonly use the word Holocaust, which is Greek for ‘Sacrifice by fire.’”

• DEVISE AN EVIL PLAN. Finally, in all this there is the calculated, savage Plan to Destroy the Jews of Israel once and for all. Again, since Hitler failed. From the base word, ‘Ra’’ [רַע]: “A plan that is bad, disagreeable, malignant; giving pain, unhappiness, misery; from the worst of nations; from the root word meaning to spoil by breaking or shattering into pieces from those who live in a wicked way; severe, malignant, mischievous; a calamity which happens to someone at the hands of an evil force; unethical, immoral activity designed to obliterate.”

• A LAND OF UNWALLED VILLAGES. Now here we have a fact of the most terrible significance: Israel at this point in history is so secure and safe, as I argue, from the Victory won in the Isaiah 17 War, and the Peace Accords with the Arab nations. From the Hebrew, ‘Perazah’ [פְרָזָה]: “An open region, hamlet; open country without walls or barricades.” Theologian CHARLES ELLICOTT (‘Commentaries on the Whole Bible,’ 1897) renders it like this: “The description of a people living in prosperity and security looks quite beyond anything hitherto realised in the history of the Jews, and points to such a state of things as is described in Zechariah 2:4-5. The description of the attack of Gog and Magog in Revelation 20:9 corresponds to this.”

IN SUM. My truncated Summary Read of all this harkens back to the volatile nature of Middle East Geopolitics, interacting with and guided by Divine Prophetic Providence governing all of it – the Freewill of participant Nations notwithstanding. 

My sense – and this is mere, yet quite studied Hypothesis – is this: (I) Centuries of simmering hatred fueled another Arabic Assault on Israel in Psalm 83; (II) This provokes a severe Retaliatory Nuclear Strike on Damascus by the Israelis; (III) Solicitous Outrage (and a weakened America) inspires the Russian-sponsored Islamic Coalition of Nations to mount a massive attack on Northern Israel.

So now I turn to two major sections as we approach the Conclusions concerning: What’s Next?

4. EZEKIEL’S WAR & THE ABRAHAM ACCORDS

I take close notice in this next section to: One, the Geopolitics of the Abraham Accords; Two, the Spiritual Impact of the Agreement. 

First from an astute analysis by ‘The Atlantic’ by noted journalist and editor in chief, JEFFREY GOLDBERG, entitled, “Iran and the Palestinians Lose Out in the Abraham Accords,” September 16, 2020. And a more spiritually driven piece by AMOS MILLS, in a piece, “Abraham Accords and the Ezekiel War,” for his online Blog magazine, ‘Rapture and End Times’ online magazine, on September 9, 2020.

THE GEOPOLITICS. Goldberg insightfully points out the ‘Winners and Losers’ the historic developments surrounding the Abraham Accords, fueled in large part by the 2016 meetings of Pope Francis of the Vatican, with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, Egyptian scholar and Grand Imam of al-Azhar, the highest office held by a Sunni Muslim. 

Abraham Accords architect Jared Kushner was undoubtedly influenced by the spirit and substance of this earlier Abraham Initiatives started in 1989 by Alan B. Slifka and Dr. Eugene Weiner, looking for common cause (and more) with the ‘Offspring of Abraham,’ Jews and Muslims.

WINNERS. Goldberg points out the real benefactors of The Accords, briefly listed below.

• THE WHITE HOUSE. “A genius marketing move, though I would have preferred the ‘Isaac and Ishmael Summit,’ or ‘The Treaty of Ghent,’ for that matter. ‘The Abraham Accords’ is grandiose for any number of reasons, including the fact that what was signed yesterday does not even constitute a peace treaty.”

• THE AUTHORITARIANS. “The agreement is a victory for Mohammed bin Zayed, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and the de facto ruler of the Emirates; Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia; Benjamin Netanyahu, the forever prime minister of Israel; and President Donald Trump. Each of these men needed this agreement rather urgently.”

• THE F-35 JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER. “In many ways ‘The Abraham Accords’ amount to an arms deal. The U.A.E. and other states that now engage with Israel will find themselves armed with a better class of American weaponry. The U.S. has pledged for a very long time to maintain Israel’s qualitative military edge, but the U.A.E. in particular might have just arranged for itself a similar promise.”

• THE AMBASSADORS. “The deal is a triumph for the Emirati ambassador to the U.S., Yousef Al Otaiba; the Israeli ambassador to the U.S., Ron Dermer; and Jared Kushner, the Trump administration’s ambassador to all sorts of Semites. It was Otaiba, more than any other single figure, who organized this coming-out party. He is the canniest and most influential ambassador in Washington, in part because he has bin Zayed’s trust, and in part because he so assiduously cultivates his country’s image as a (relatively speaking) progressive, anti-extremist Arab state. Dermer, Netanyahu’s longtime confidant, gets to claim a diplomatic victory, one that bypasses the core of the conflict, the Israeli-Palestinian struggle. And credit where credit is due: Kushner brought energy and drive to this process, and secured a win for his father-in-law and for the Israeli right, to which he is partial. It was the regional players who made this happen, but Kushner was smart enough to help set the table.”

• THE ISRAELIS. “They can now travel to Dubai and Abu Dhabi (and maybe, soon, to Morocco and Sudan and Oman). The crushing sense of isolation that Israelis feel in their own neighborhood may be partially lifted by this agreement.”

THE LOSERS. Goldberg next assesses who does not gain by this Agreement. But I strongly caution the reader to remember that these observations are made thought the lenses of a brilliant professional, though seriously limited by the absence of a sound Theological Perspective that lends crucial Spiritual Discernment to what is understood – or not understood.

• THE IRANIANS. “Israel and the United Arab Emirates (along with other Gulf states) have secretly cooperated with each other against their common enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran, for more than a decade. The normalization of relations strengthens this coalition, the members of which (mainly correctly) see Iran and its various terrorist appendages as threats to their stability and territorial integrity, and even to their existence.”

• THE PALESTINIANS. “A dark and cruel joke I once heard in Saudi Arabia: What’s the difference between Arab Gulf leaders and Netanyahu’s Likud party? The Gulf states really despise the Palestinians. Once again, Arab leaders are signaling to the Palestinians that they have grown tired of what they see as Palestinian rejectionism and obduracy, and also that they would very much like to be partners with Israel in high-tech development and in the fight against Iran. Two years ago, bin Salman told me in an interview: ‘I believe that each people, anywhere, has a right to live in their peaceful nation. I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land.’ This statement was seen, correctly, as an invitation to Arab states to deepen their ties to Israel.”

THE SPIRITUAL POLITICS. Mr. Mills now takes us to Doctrinal School to help us better understand the ‘Really Real’ concerning all these Geopolitical machinations. Here are some Highlights of his analysis.

• THE RATIONALE. “Abraham, as many of you know, was the father of all three great faiths. He is referred to as ‘Abraham’ in the Christian faith, ‘Ibrahim’ in the Muslim faith, and ‘Avraham’ in the Jewish faith. And no person better symbolizes the potential for ‘UNITY among all these three great faiths’ than Abraham, and that’s why this accord has been given that name“. – DAVID FRIEDMAN, United States Ambassador to Israel

• THE REALITY. “The ‘Abraham Accord’ is the culmination of all the work done by Pope Francis and the Vatican in creating the One World Religion of Chrislam. With this agreement, Chrislam took a giant step forward in realizing the signing of what will culminate in the 7-year covenant foretold in Daniel 9:27…The Abrahamic Faiths Initiative which convened 25 senior global religious leaders representing a range of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities for a two-day working dialogue at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, was inspired by Pope Francis and Al-Azhar Grand Imam Al-Tayyeb’s 2019 Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together.”

• IMPLICATIONS FOR WAR & PEACE. “The Abrahamic Faiths Initiative which convened 25 senior global religious leaders representing a range of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities for a two-day working dialogue at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, was inspired by Pope Francis and Al-Azhar Grand Imam Al-Tayyeb’s 2019 Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together…Benjamin Netanyahu is building ties with anti-Iran Arab leaders from Riyadh to Doha and betting that a peace deal is no longer a necessary prerequisite for normalizing diplomatic ties.” All of which angers and motivates the “Loser-Have Not” nations of Russia and the Non-Signatory Nations (Russia, Iran, Palestinian defenders) to go to arms against the ‘Little Satan,’ Israel.

• HOW CLOSE ARE WE TO THIS WAR? “US President Donald Trump threatened late Monday to deliver a devastating response to any attack by Iran against the United States. Tehran may be plotting an attack or assassination in response to January’s US killing of top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, he said. ‘Any attack by Iran, in any form, against the United States will be met with an attack on Iran that will be 1,000 times greater in magnitude!’ the President tweeted. In April, Trump threatened to ‘shoot down and destroy’ any Iranian gunboats in the Strait of Hormuz that harass US ships in the waters. The White House withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal in 2018 and the maximum pressure campaign against the regime has escalated tensions between the countries.”

• RUSSIA & IRAN. “Russia, a great power to Israel’s far north and the Shia Muslim nations, particularly Iran, are growing increasingly intertwined and hostile toward Israel. Bible scholars have long identified Gog as the leader of Russia, and the land of Magog as Russia. The invasion of Israel will be primarily motivated by greed for their great wealth. The recent annexation of Crimea will be their strategy. The Crimean Peninsula was invaded and annexed by the Russian Federation in 2014. They used the excuse of the Ukrainian revolution, and Russian masked troops occupied key Crimean locations, including airports and military bases, following Putin’s orders.”

5. CAUSES AND EFFECTS

As we come to the end of our Study of Three Wars soon to arrive in the Middle East, let me start with a Simple Cause-Effect Template: Historic events do not take place independent of one another; they Impact one another in ways that are sometimes predictable, but at others, are not.

OF BUTTERFLIES AND RICOCHETS. Think of a favorite game of mine back in the day when I was in college: Billiards, or your everyday, run of the mill, pool game. Nine Ball. Eight Ball. Whatever, the whole idea is a lesson in Basic Physics.

I love this quotation from JIM MEADOR, writing for ‘Billiard World’ (retrieved November 3, 2020), entitled, “Physics and Pool.”

“Pool is Physics transcribed for poets and artists. At its best, it is Swan Lake. The player is the conductor, the cue stick his baton, and the balls are dancers on a stage of green felt. When the game is played skillfully, one is mindful of the harmony that exists between man and nature. When I shoot, one is mindful of famine, pestilence and (pay attention here) chaos. But, why not. The likelihood that I will fall victim to Chaos is Law, not luck.”

He goes on to say that we humans are obsessed with bringing Order out of Chaos, and I agree along with many brighter minds than mine, both scientific and literary. All the more so with ‘The Dance’ of War and Peace.

LEO TOLSTOY wrote, as illustration, of the very Center of most wars, in echo of the same theme that you will find in the works of Nietzsche.

“What is the cause of historical events? Power. What is Power? Power is the sum total of Wills transferred to one person. On what Condition are the wills for the masses transferred to one person? On Condition that the person express the Will of the whole people. That is, Power is Power. That is, Power is a word the meaning of which we do not understand.”- ‘War and Peace,’ 1869; edited 

THE SEQUENCE. Because of these matters, and ones I have addressed before, I Hypothesize that the Three Wars will roughly follow this basic Chronology.

• THE WAR OF PSALM 83. Since the first skirmishes between Cain and Abel in the Garden, followed by those of Ishmael and Isaac, then most significantly between Esau and Jacob, there has been Strife between Jew and Arab. And I haven’t even brought up Mohammedan Islam yet. So are the Root Causes of this War sunk deep into both the DNA and Desire for Power (and Land) found in the very course of Human History. Quoting Rabbi Louis Ginzberg’s classic, ‘Legends of the Jews’ (1909), R. C. Morro sums it all up thus: “When Isaac grew up, quarrels broke out between him and Ishmael, on account of the Rights of the First Born.’” – ‘Antichrist: The Search for Amalek,’ 2014; edited

• THE WAR OF ISAIAH 17. This, in its own Turn as Reply to the prior War, addresses itself to the over 70 year quest to “drive the Jews into the sea,” as Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood put it in 1948. I also see the Israelis pushed to their limits on this matter of the Psalm 83 assault on her national security and sovereignty, choosing, rightly or wrongly for reasons we can only guess, to exercise ‘The Samson Option,’ and strike Damascus with a nuclear bomb, effectively reducing the City to cinders in an hour.

• THE WAR OF EZEKIEL 38. Seizing upon an historic weakness and division in the United States, I believe that the Russian-Turkey-Islamic Axis Powers decide to move against Israel, sensing they will never get an opportunity like this ever again. Raw Power appears to be among Vladimir Putin’s chief motives, though clearly there are others – warm water ports, fertile land acquisition, to say nothing of her historic hatred of the Jews over the centuries. This culminated in many bloody Russian Pogroms, and the publication of one of the most pernicious fabrications about the Jews in all literary history: ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,’ published in 1903. 

6. LAST THOUGHTS 

While researching an online course in History of the Jews in 2018-19 for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), I discovered a little known, but very obvious additional Reason for Antisemitism: JEALOUSY. Seems that during multiple Diaspora and Captivities, Jews invariably rose to the top of their professions – banking, textiles, theology and philosophy, medicine, agriculture, engineering, and so on. At first welcomed as contributors to the host nation or culture, they were later despised for their successes.

THE RISE OF ANTISEMITISM. They still are. Witness the ‘Zionist Conspiracy’ advocates inside our own churches who subscribe to the same False Narrative that the Russians largely created, that ‘THESE JEWS’ are the reason for the world’s ills. Was Codified in that most pernicious of Antisemitic fabrications, ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,’ published in 1903.

In a telling quotation from the brilliant Jewish political philosopher, HANNAH ARENDT, here is something sounding very much like Joseph Goebel’s approach to Propaganda:

 “In other words, if a patent Forgery like the ‘Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ is believed by so many people that it can become the Text of a whole political movement, the task of the historian is no longer to discover a Forgery. Certainly it is not to invent explanations which dismiss the chief political and historical facts of the matter: That the Forgery is being believed. This Fact is more important than the (historically speaking, secondary) circumstance that it is a Forgery.” – ‘The Origins of Totalitarianism,’ 1951; edited 

So it is in this Last War that Russia and her Allies wish to advance on the Northern hills of Israel, in order to “take spoil and prey.” But I argue more bluntly, to Force Israel and the Jews TO SUBMIT, to a fundamental Islamic Commandment to lay upon the backs of all “Infidels.”

THE QU’RAN. “Those who deny their lord, for them will be cut out a garment of fire: over their heads will be poured out boiling water. With it will be melted what is within their bodies, as well as their skins. In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them. – Surah 22:19-21

As Muslim Mullah Sayyid Moustafa Al-Qazwini has written: “‘Islam’ means “submitting or surrendering one’s will to the will of Allah.” And that means us too, beloved. Most especially, all “People of The Book” – Jews and Christians. – ‘Al Islam.org,’ ret. November 3, 2020; edited

WHAT COMES NEXT? By these accounts, what is to be expected in the Aftermath of this War of Ezekiel? The most astounding Military Event in recorded Jewish history, at least since the Parting of the Red Sea against the pursuing Egyptians. 

I close with this, since once again, the Word teaches itself. It is long, but it is necessary to let it speak.

CONSEQUENCES OF DEFYING GOD’S PEOPLE. “But in that day when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, says the Lord God, My wrath shall come up into My nostrils. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath have I said, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking or cosmic catastrophe in the land of Israel, So that the fishes of the sea and the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall tremble and shake at My presence; and the mountains shall be thrown down and the steep places shall fall and every wall [natural or artificial] shall fall to the ground.

And I will call for a sword against [Gog] throughout all My mountains, says the Lord God, every man’s sword shall be against his brother [over the dividing of booty]. And with pestilence and with bloodshed will I enter into judgment with [Gog], and I will rain upon him and upon his hordes and upon the many peoples that are with him torrents of rain and great hailstones, fire and brimstone. Thus will I demonstrate My greatness and My holiness, and I will be recognized, understood, and known in the eyes of many nations; yes, they shall know that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].” – EZEKIEL 38:18-23, AMPC
