NOTES ON THE AMERICAN ABOMINATION: CHOOSING IMPERATOR DONALDUS REPUBLICANUS II OVER YESHUA BEN DAVID II – AN EPITAPH (WITH VIDEO)

THEOLOGY

SCRIPTURE. “Oh, that my head were waters and my eyes a reservoir of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Oh, that I had in the wilderness a lodging place (a mere shelter) for wayfaring men, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers [rendering worship to idols instead of to the Lord, Who has espoused the people to Himself]; they are a gang of treacherous men [faithless even to each other].

And they bend their tongue, [which is] their bow for the lies [they shoot]. And not according to faithfulness do they rule and become strong in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know and understand and acknowledge Me, says the Lord. Let everyone beware of his neighbor and put no trust in any brother. For every brother is an utter and complete supplanter (one who takes by the heel and trips up, a deceiver, a Jacob), and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. KEY TERM: “ALL ARE ADULTERERS!” ‘NAAPH’ [מְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים]. “As with a woman who breaketh wedlock, to Apostatize.” Also: Violation of the marriage bed; a crime, or a civil injury, which introduces, or may introduce, into a family, a spurious offspring; in a Scriptural sense, all manner of [spiritual or natural] lewdness or unchastity, as in the Seventh Commandment.” NOTE: “The Hebrew verb ‘naaph’ primarily means to commit Adultery, referring to the act of engaging in sexual relations with someone other than one’s spouse. It is used in the context of marital infidelity and is often associated with moral and spiritual unfaithfulness. ‘The term is frequently employed in the Old Testament to describe both literal and metaphorical Adultery, the latter being ‘a symbol of Israel’s unfaithfulness to God through Idolatry.’”

EPITAPH. “An inscription on a monument, in honor or memory of the dead. An Eulogy, in prose or verse, composed without any intent to be engraven on a monument. A brief statement commemorating or epitomizing a deceased person or something past.”

DUNNING-KRUGER. “The Dunning-Kruger Effect is a Cognitive Bias that causes people to overestimate their knowledge or abilities. It’s more common in people who have low abilities and lack the skills to accurately judge their own abilities … The opposite of the Dunning-Kruger effect is the Imposter Syndrome, where people have difficulty acknowledging their own competence.”

COMMENTARY. “Jeremiah wept much, yet wished he could weep more, that he might rouse the people to a due sense of the Hand of God. But even the desert, without communion with God, through Christ Jesus, and the influences of the Holy Spirit, must be a place for temptation and evil; while, with these blessings, we may live in holiness in crowded cities. The people accustomed their tongues to lies. So false were they, that a brother could not be trusted. In trading and bargaining they said any thing for their own advantage, though they knew it to be false. But God marked their sin. Where no knowledge of God is, what good can be expected? DK NOTE. I know this has been exhausting, beloved, but my point is razor sharp: Christians need to know the Truth! And I tell you true with the King of the Universe watching every word I type here – His Church is bloody, doctrinally, shamefully, and dangerously blind to all this!

I realize that I have addressed the several reasons ‘Why’ in previous essays, but I found a new and piercing take on this massive Spiritual Crisis, and I wanted to bring it to your attention.

AMERICA’S NEW PANDEMIC

I take what follows from a biting critique of the American Disorder under Trump from his recent piece by MATT LABASH that largely defines AMERICA’S CHIEF SIN: “America’s New Pandemic: ‘Moral Cowardice’” (Slack Tide, Feb. 12, 2025; edited).

Warning: Mr. Labash’s pull no punches, street-level journalism is not for the faint of heart, but I much prefer it to the pasty indifference of most Christian writers today. After cleaning up the language just a tad, I then Bullet Point his MAJOR IDEAS for ease of comprehension.

TRUMP (AGAIN). “Over the decades, I have offered up all manner of obloquy [strong criticism] concerning Donald Trump. When shadowing him up close in the Nineties – our Age of Innocence, back when America still thought he was a joke, before we became the joke by electing him twice — I noted that his hair looked ‘like an abandoned nest.’ I added that when he focused his powers of concentration on something other than himself — which doesn’t happen often — his lips ‘fix in puckered protrusion,’ making him ‘look like a distressed mallard.’ I have since called him everything from the ‘BSr-in-Chief’ to ‘a walking rap sheet with a combover.’ When running low on my own epithets, I have recycled those of others, calling him ‘Mango Mussolini,’ ‘Cheeto Jesus,’ and a ‘short-fingered Vulgarian.’”

J.D. VANCE. “But one slur I would never hang on Trump is to equate him to JD Vance. Even I wouldn’t stoop that low. Because at least Trump has the courage of his own convictions. (His misguided assertions, I mean, not his felony convictions). Trump’s lies are his own, and he sticks by them. He’s told them so often, that he’s probably even convinced himself 20 percent or so of them are true. Whereas, Vance chooses to tell the lies of others — namely, Trump’s — meaning he doesn’t even come by his dishonesty honestly.

CHRISTIAN HYPOCRISY. “How else to explain a guy who once called Trump “a moral disaster,” a “cynical ah—,” “cultural heroin” and “possibly America’s Hitler”? (The last of which, I’d never call Trump— there’s zero chance Trump would gas The Jews at Auschwitz when he could turn the camp into a perfectly good condo development.) But then Vance goes to work for him, just two heartbeats away from the presidency? (If Elon Musk and Trump die in a Tesla Cybertruck accident). Or who, when one of Musk’s adolescent dork-squad DOGErs that are unlawfully helping Elon dismantle our Federal Government, gets caught saying online that he ‘was racist before it was cool’ and we should ‘normalize Indian hate’ … Vance cuts him a free pass?”

MORAL COWARDICE. “‘And that’s why, despite the above head fake, this isn’t actually a piece about JD Vance. It’s a piece about Moral Cowardice that causes Dishonesty, our new National Pandemic, which is contagious as hell, and spreading fast.’ Of which Vance is only a flashing neon example – he is ‘Afraid’ of the people who can punish him, be it Trump, or Trump voters, for not taking his dutiful loyalty oath. And so, he overcompensates by say, suggesting that court orders no longer apply to His Majesty’s whims, no matter how unlawful the latter are, while offering up the Constitution as a burnt sacrifice in order to appease the MAGA gods.”

MORAL COURAGE. “But rather than fatigue you with further instances of (justified) condemnation, I’d rather offer you words of edification. To show you what actual courage looks like, and why you should adopt it. I’ll skip the overly-long setup, since the passage I’m excerpting is long enough. But recently, I’ve been reading the posthumous memoir of ALEXEI NAVALNY, the Russian dissident, called, simply ‘Patriot.’ A pleasing [expletive] title, since Navalny, who prematurely perished a year ago while being unjustly imprisoned in Trump-butt-buddy Vladimir Putin’s Siberian Gulag, did indeed lay a greater claim to representing the Russian people’s interests than their Exploiter, Putin, ever will.”

MORAL LEADERSHIP. “Since I often disparage the Moral Pygmies who tend to inhabit public life, readers sometimes ask, ‘Well, who do you admire?’ In Politics, it’s a short list. But at the very top of it is NAVALNY, who was never elected to anything — even if he once unsuccessfully ran for Mayor of Moscow. And yet, he was ‘A TRUE LEADER.’ The kind we can no longer claim, and need right about now: ‘Fearless. An unapologetic Freedom-lover. Completely unwilling to bend the knee to corrupt power, even after corrupt power tried to kill him, and ultimately succeeded. He was first poisoned, but after he recovered from the near-death that brought on, he returned to the country that poisoned him, knowing full-well that he’d be imprisoned for returning’ [think Dietrich Bonhoeffer about here]. He did so anyway, to prove a point – that Freedom and Truth matter. Even if he was essentially murdered for proving it.”

AN EPITAPH. “I am suffering under no illusions. I understand perfectly that none of you will suddenly leap up and overturn that Table, nor will you say, ‘I’ve had enough of all this!’ … Nevertheless, at this point in the proceedings it’s very important for me to address those who’ll watch or read my final words. It is, of course, quite useless. Still, you people who stare at the Table, this is effectively a battle taking place between those crooks who’ve seized power and those who want to change something. ‘We are fighting for the hearts and minds of those who simply stare at the Table and shrug their shoulders. People who, when all they need to do is not do something vile, they go ahead and do it anyway.’”

LABASH’S PRAYER. “Maybe this is going to sound naïve, and know it’s become the norm to laugh ironically and sneer at these words, but ‘I call on absolutely everyone not to live by lies!’There is no other way. There can be no other solution in our country today.”

LAST THOUGHTS

I trust that, for those of you who have followed my work these past few years, understand that my sustained pique (more like outrage to be honest) has little to do with any personal injury to me or my family any longer. No beloved, it is all about the ‘Injury to the Christian Faith’ that so saddens and angers me.

To this crucial last point, consider the remarks of Christian writer JONATHAN WALDROUP in his Blog whose title goes straight to the very heart of the Tragedy of the American Church: “Trumpism is Destroying Our Christian Witness” (Jan. 10, 2021; edited). HE WRITES:

“‘Jesus reserved his harshest Words for the Religious Leaders of His own people’ (Matthew 23). The Prophets before Him similarly condemned Israel in the fiercest terms for their failure to pursue Justice, Truth, and Mercy (Micah 6). In both cases, the Promised Judgment was severe: Roman Destruction in the case of Jesus, and Assyrian or Babylonian conquest and exile in the case of the Prophets.

Jesus and the Prophets focused their critiques on their own people because Israel had a special relationship with God: They were intended to be the Instrument through which God’s Kingdom of Justice and Peace would be established everywhere … And because of this vital role, Christians ought to be more concerned with our own Household of Faith than with any other group. If we believe what we say we believe, then we must get Our House in order! We must allow God’s Kingdom to reign in us so we can be conduits of that Kingdom for everyone around us. ‘We must maintain the credibility of our Witness’…

‘If you are a CHURCH LEADER—of any kind—you must speak out. There is no room for Silence!’ And we must avoid jumping right over the sin, straight to ‘It’s time to heal. There is no healing if the sin is not first acknowledged and addressed. Repentance must come first’ … Will attendance fall? You bet. Will people get angry? Definitely. But it is not OK that QAnon, Trumpist Idolatry, and Unadulterated Lies have found such a happy home in the Conservative Church. ‘It must end! Christians must SPEAK OUT to address the Sin in our midst and preserve our Witness to God’s good and perfect Kingdom.’”

CODA. Mr. Waldroup penned those words shortly after the J6 Christian Insurrection at the Capitol, fully four years ago. And yet, The Church voted for Trump a third time and emplaced The Beast of Babylon in the most powerful seat of political power on the planet.

‘There are no Leaders left, beloved, only God’s Remnant.’ And THE CALL to us from Heaven is crystal clear, as with the Words of The Apostle:

“Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to STAND FIRM [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].” – EPHESIANS 6:13, AMP
