PRÉCIS ON THE END OF GRACE AND THE APPROACH OF THE HOUR OF ANANIAS

SCRIPTURE. “But the Lord said to Moses, ‘Put Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony [in the ark], to be kept as a [warning] sign for the rebellious and contentious, so that you may put an end to their murmurings [of discontent] against Me, so that they do not die.’ And Moses did so; just as the Lord had commanded him, so he did.” – NUMBERS 17:10-11, AMP

KEY TERM. “REBELLIOUS.” ‘MERI’ [מֶ֑רִי]: “From a primary root, ‘Bitterness.’ Also, obstinate, stubborn, hard hearted; to be contentious, insubordinate, disobedient.” NOTE: “The Hebrew word ‘meri’ primarily denotes Rebellion or Disobedience against authority, particularly against God. It is used to describe a ‘Willful Defiance’ and a refusal to submit to Divine Commandments or guidance. This term often carries a negative connotation, ‘highlighting the Severity of turning away from God’s Will.’”

QUOTATION. “Primordial Rebellion against God’s Fatherhood [is] a desire to do away with Fatherhood itself. This is our Enemy’s underlying Plan: To first diminish and then eliminate our reliance on God, the Benevolent Father. To do this, Satan’s Primary Strategy is to damage and abolish human fatherhood, the very relationship through which each of us first glimpses what God’s Fatherhood might be like.”  THOMAS J. OLMSTED, Manual for Men, 2018; edited

COMMENTARY. “‘While all the other rods remained as they were. Aaron’s Rod became a Living Branch.’ In some places there were buds, in others blossoms, in others fruit, at the same time; all this was Miraculous. Thus, Aaron was manifested to be under the special blessing of Heaven. ‘Fruitfulness is the best evidence of a Divine Call;’ and the plants of God’s setting, and the boughs cut off them, will flourish.

‘This Rod was preserved, to take away the murmurings of the people, that they might not die.’ The Design of God, in all His Providences, and in the memorials of them, is to take away sin. Christ was manifested to take away sin. Christ is expressly called a Rod out of the stem of Jesse: Little prospect was there, according to human views, that He should ever flourish. But the dry rod revived and blossomed to the confusion of His adversaries.

The people cry, ‘Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish!’This was the language of a repining people, quarrelling with the Judgments of God, which by their own pride and obstinacy they brought upon themselves. It is very wicked to fret against God when we are in affliction, and in our distress thus to trespass yet more. ‘If we die, if we perish, it is of ourselves, and the blame will be upon our own heads! When God Judges, He will overcome and will oblige the most obstinate gainsayers to confess their folly!’ And how great are our mercies, that we have a clearer and a Better Dispensation, established upon Better Promises!” – MATTHEW HENRY, Exposition of the Old and New Testaments, 6 vols., 1708-1710; edited

DK’S TAKE. There once was a man named ANANIAS, who was married to a woman name SAPPHIRA. An appropriately dispassionate account is presented by the Wikipedia Summary that gets us efficiently to our main point (Dec. 18, 2024; edited).

“As told at the beginning of Acts Chapter 5, Ananias and Sapphira, following Barnabas’s example, sold their land but secretly withheld a portion of the proceeds. Ananias presented his donation to Peter. Peter replied, ‘Why is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit?’ [V. 3]. Peter pointed out that Ananias was in control of the money and could give or keep it as he saw fit but had withheld a portion of it.

‘Peter stated that Ananias had lied not to men, but to God. Because of his actions Ananias died on the spot and was carried out. Everyone who heard about the incident feared the Lord.’ Three hours after Ananias’s death his wife arrived, unaware of what had happened. Peter asked her the price of the land that she and Ananias had sold, and she stated the same untruthful price that Ananias had given. ‘She too fell dead.’”

Now why would I retell this story now, four electrifying weeks since Donald Trump  resumed the Presidency of the United States in the Epochal Year, 2025? Many of you who are reading this already know, but let me conclude by stating what should be The Obvious.

THE OMEN. The serious student of the Scriptures understands that ‘God Sets Limits’ on the amount of time He will permit sinners, including especially His own people, to Repent of their Rebellions. The Template I often use to illustrate this Principle comes to us, appropriately, from: THE STORY OF NOAH:

Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive and remain with man forever, because he is indeed flesh [sinful, corrupt—given over to sensual appetites]; nevertheless his days shall yet be a hundred and twenty years.’” – GENESIS 6:3, AMP

Based on this 120 Year Template, I proposed in the opening lines of my new book, The Sixth Seal II: A Pre-Wrath Redux of the Rise of Donald Trump and the Decline of the American Order, 2017-2021 (2024), that the Year 1900 AD triggered America’s Final Countdown for Repentance, ending in the Year 2020 AD (see pp. 1-2).

THE LESSON. ‘I am strongly convinced that God is beginning to Close the Door of the Ark’ (Genesis 7:16). Because His people, the American Church, have not listened to over a century of increasingly sharp Warnings and reelected A Beast to the White House in sustained Defiance of His Son.

‘His Warnings shall now take on more devastating forms.’

I therefore believe that Rebellious Christian Leaders are going to increasingly follow in the Path and even the Fate of Ananias and Sapphira in the days ahead. WHY? “So great fear will come upon those who shall hear of these things” (Acts 5:5). So that some shall come to Repentance and be Rescued from the Wrath Soon to Come.

CODA. I take no joy in writing these words, save for the comfort that there is in vastly Higher Wisdom in control of these otherwise Times of Lawlessness. Therefore, let us Return to a Fear of the Holy One who shall no longer tolerate this American Spiritual Insurrection.

For He also Promises: But the one who endures and bears up [under suffering] to the end will be saved.” – MATTHEW 24:13, AMP
