PRÉCIS ON AMERICAN CHURCH HARLOTRY II: DIVINE RECOMPENSE FOR SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY – (WITH VIDEO)

  1. THE TEACHING

SCRIPTURE. “You adulteresses [disloyal sinners—flirting with the world and breaking your vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend [that is, loving the things of the world] is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” – JAMES 4:4, AMP

KEY TERM: “ADULTERESSES.” ‘Moichalis’ [μοιχαλίς]: “From a primary masculine [‘Moichos’] term meaning, ‘One who is faithless to God; as with a paramour or apostate;’ extended therefore to anyone who worships any other than the True God; as the intimate alliance of God with the people of Israel was likened to a marriage, those who relapse into idolatry are said to commit adultery or ‘Play the harlot;’ an heretic from the True Faith, or one who violates his Covenant engagements; ‘a most wicked person’ [whom God despises].”

COMMENTARY. “‘Ye adulterers and adulteresses’ — Who have broken your faith with God, your Rightful Spouse! Thus, many understand these expressions, because God Himself represented His relation to the Jews as His people under ‘the Idea of a Marriage;’ and because the Prophets, in conformity to that idea, represented the Idolatry of the Jews as Adultery. But inasmuch as gross Idolatry was a sin from which the Jews had long been entirely free, and whereas to Adultery, and other sins of the flesh, they were exceedingly addicted, it seems more probable that these appellations are to be understood literally.

II. CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM: RIPPING OFF THE SCABS

There is a veritable Spiritual Monster percolating in the catacombs of the American Soul today. It is spawned by the ‘cross-breeding’ of power-mad Machiavellian Politics and the twisted desire of the American Church to trash the idea of a Constitutional Republic and replace it with a Christian Theocracy headed up by the brute dictatorship of DONALD TRUMP as President of the United States.

This seditious, blasphemous concept has a name, CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM, an old Nemesis of Western Democracy perfected in the bloody hallows of The Third Reich of Nazi Germany a century ago. And America is about to Reincarnate it, beginning with the Presidential Election of November 5, 2024.

THE PLAN.  An influential think tank close to DONALD TRUMP is developing plans: To infuse Christian Nationalist Ideology into Trump’s administration should the former president return to power (as I fully expect him to).

Leading this controversial effort is RUSSELL VOUGHT, who served as Trump’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget during his first term and has remained close to him. Vought, who is frequently cited as a potential Chief of Staff in a Second Trump White House, is president of The Center for Renewing America think tank, a leading group in a conservative consortium preparing for a second Trump term.

My following summary is adapted from journalists ALEXANDER WARD, national security and American foreign policy specialist, and staff writer HEIDI PRYZBYLA. Both are reporting the results of an investigation for Politico, a Washington, DC-based digital newspaper in a piece titled, “Trump Allies Prepare to Infuse ‘Christian Nationalism’ in Second Administration” (Feb. 20, 2024; edited).

THE OVERVIEW. So now as always do I resort to my ubiquitous Bullet Points to capture the core of what The Plan is all about.

  • THE PREMISE. “Christian Nationalists in America believe that the country was founded as ‘a Christian nation’ and that Christian values should be prioritized throughout government and public life. As the country has become less religious and more diverse, Vought has embraced the idea that Christians are under assault and has spoken of policies he might pursue in response.”
  • LONGER TERM. “CRA’s work fits into a broader effort by conservative, MAGA-leaning organizations to influence a future Trump White House. Two people familiar with the plans, who were granted anonymity to discuss internal matters, said that Vought hopes his proximity and regular contact with the former president — he and Trump speak at least once a month, according to one of the people — will ‘elevate Christian Nationalism’ as a focal point in a second Trump term.”
  • THEOCRATIC BIRTHPANGS. The documents obtained by Politico do not outline specific Christian Nationalist Policies. But Vought has promoted a Restrictionist Immigration Agenda,’ saying a person’s background doesn’t define who can enter the U.S., but rather, citing Biblical teachings, whether that person ‘accept[ed] Israel’s God, laws and understanding of history.’”
  • PROJECT 2025. “Vought, who declined to comment, is advising Project 2025, a governing agenda that would usher in one of the most conservative Executive Branches in modern American history. The effort is made up of a constellation of conservative groups run by Trump allies who’ve constructed a detailed plan to dismantle or overhaul key agencies in a second term. Among other principles, the project’s ‘Mandate for Leadership’ states that “freedom is defined by God, not man.”
  • FALSE ALLIANCE. “‘Trump is not a devout man of faith.’ But Christian Nationalists have been among his most reliable campaign activists and voting blocs. Trump formed a political alliance with Evangelicals during his first run for office, delivered them a six to three conservative majority on the Supreme Court and is now espousing the Christian Right’s long-running argument that Christians are so severely persecuted that it necessitates a federal response.”
  • FEAR FACTOR. “In a December campaign speech in Iowa, he said ‘Marxists and Fascists’ are ‘going hard’ against Catholics. ‘Upon taking office, I will create a new ‘Federal Task Force on Fighting Anti-Christian Bias’ to be led by a fully reformed Department of Justice that’s fair and equitable” and that will ‘investigate all forms of illegal discrimination.’”
  • CHRISTIAN REICH. Vought sees his and his organization’s mission as ‘Renew[ing] a consensus of America as a nation under God,’ per a statement on CRA’s website, and reshaping the government’s contract with the governed. Freedom of Religion would remain a protected right, but Vought and his ideological brethren would not shy from using their administration positions to: ‘Promote Christian Doctrine and imbue Public Policy with it,’ according to both people familiar with the matter, granted anonymity to avoid retaliation. He makes clear reference to human rights being defined by God, not man.”
  • FLYNN RETURNS. “Trump is also talking about bringing his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, ‘a vocal proponent of Christian Nationalism,’ back into office. Flynn is currently focused on recruiting what he calls an “Army of God” — as he barnstorms the country promoting his vision of putting Christianity at the center of American life.” DK. Flynn leads Christians in an Occult Prayer from religious mystic ELIZABETH CLARE PROPHET: “We are your instrument of those sevenfold rays and all your archangels, all of them. We will not retreat, we will not retreat. We will stand our ground. We will not fear to speak. We will be the instrument of your will, whatever it is. In your name and the name of your legions. We are freeborn, and we shall remain freeborn. And we shall not be enslaved by any foe within and without, so help me God.”
  • SEISMIC CHANGE. “‘There’s been a Tectonic Shift in how the leadership of the Religious Right operates,’ said Matthew Taylor, a scholar at the Institute for Islamic, Christian and Jewish Studies, who grew up Evangelical. ‘These folks aren’t as interested in democracy or working through democratic systems as in the old Religious Right because ‘their theology is one of Christian warfare.’”

MY TAKE. It is a chilling one, beloved. When all is said and done, I see the combined forces of the Center for Renewing America (CRA) and the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 as effectively dismantling the time-tested brilliance of the Constitutional Doctrine of Separation of Powers, to devastate that ‘Balance’ in favor of constructing a vastly more powerful Executive Branch.

And that, in turn, to endow the President of the United States with nearly unlimited power. That is, to install DONALD JOHN TRUMP as the ‘First American Führer und Reichskanzler’ – the Leader and Chancellor of the [Fourth] Reich!

Georgetown University historian and podcaster THOMAS ZIMMER summarized his view of the impact of all this in a piece titled, “What ‘Project 2025’ Would Do to America” (Feb. 29, 2024):

“The forces that are fully in charge on the Right have a very clear idea of what they want to do the next time they get back to power. There is no doubt they would transform America into a much nastier, much more dangerous, much more hostile place for anyone who dares to deviate from the White Christian Patriarchal Order.’

And that is what is precisely on the Ballot in November.”

III. LAST THOUGHTS ON THE AMERICAN BABYLON

Let me again drive straight to the severest of points for all you ‘Christian’ Nationalists who have freely chosen to lie in the rancid political bed of Donald Trump:

‘You are Playing Harlot to a False King’

The Old Testament Penalty for such Adultery was Death (Leviticus 20:10). The New Testament Penalty is no less horrendous: Loss of the Presence of God in this life, and Eternal Separation from God in the Afterlife.

THE FORBIDDEN SCRIPTURE.  “For [it is impossible to restore to repentance] those who have once been enlightened [spiritually] and who have tasted and consciously experienced the heavenly gift and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted and consciously experienced the good word of God and the powers of the age (world) to come, and then have fallen away—‘it is impossible to bring them back again to repentance,’ since they again nail the Son of God on the cross [for as far as they are concerned, they are treating the death of Christ as if they were not saved by it], and are holding Him up again to public disgrace.” – HEBREWS 6:4-6, AMP

Today’s Church seditiously continues to hold as sacred the False Doctrine of OSAS (‘Once Saved Always Saved’) birthed by AUGUSTINE in his formulations of the Perseverance of the Saints, given disastrous license by JOHN CALVIN over a thousand years later. No, beloved! The Words are plain enough.

But let us move to a more literate expositor than either I or our classical forebears.

THE COMMENTARY. “‘For it is impossible’ – It is needless to say that the passage here Hebrews 6:4-6, has given occasion to much controversy, and that the opinions of commentators and of the Christian world are yet greatly divided in regard to its meaning. On the one hand, it is held that the passage is not intended to describe those who are true Christians, but only those who have been awakened and enlightened, and who then ‘fall back;’ and on the other it is maintained that it refers to those who are true Christians, and who then ‘apostatize.’

The contending parties have been ‘Calvinists and Arminians;’ each party, in general, interpreting it according to the views which are held on the question about falling from grace. I shall endeavor, as well as I may be able, to state the true meaning of the passage by an examination of the words and phrases in detail, observing here: ‘In general, that it seems to me that it refers to true Christians; that the object is to keep them from Apostasy, and that it teaches that if they should apostatize, it would be impossible to renew them again or to save them. That it refers to true Christians will be apparent from these considerations.’

(1) Such is the sense which would strike the great mass of readers. Unless there were some theory to defend, the great body of readers of the New Testament would consider the expression used here as describing true Christians.

(2) The connection demands such an interpretation. The Apostle was addressing Christians. He was endeavoring to keep them from Apostasy. The object was not to keep those who were awakened and enlightened from Apostasy, but it was to preserve those who were already in the Church of Christ, from going back to Perdition…

(3) This interpretation accords, as I suppose, with the exact meaning of the phrases which the Apostle uses. An examination of those phrases will show that he refers to those who are sincere believers. The phrase “it is impossible” obviously and properly denotes absolute impossibility.” – BENSON, 1811-1818; edited

KELLY’S MAXIM. ‘If you have not wholly devoted yourself to this Antichrist, then you may Repent should God receive you. If you have ‘married’ Trump in your heart and soul, you are Lost Forever.’

I was told to issue this Severe Warning as we draw near to the Day of Decision on November 5, 2024. I do so with fear and trembling for us all. At the very least, beloved: ‘Take it to serious prayer!’
