SPECIAL PRÉCIS ON GOD’S IRON PROMISE OF RESCUE TO THE OBEDIENT AND A WARNING TO THE REBELLIOUS
SCRIPTURE. “Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], on those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness, to rescue their lives from death and keep them alive in famine.” – PSALM 33:18-19, AMP
KEY TERM: “RESCUE.” ‘NATSAL’ [לְהַצִּ֣יל]: “A primitive root, ‘To snatch away, defend, deliver, or escape [from some peril];’ to pluck, preserve or recover; deliverance from the hand (or power) of another.” NOTE: “The Hebrew verb ‘natsal’ primarily conveys the action of delivering or rescuing someone from danger, distress, or oppression. It is often used in contexts where God intervenes to save His people or individuals from peril. The term can also imply a sense of snatching away or plucking out from a harmful situation.”
QUOTATION. “‘The Remnant would have to learn that their home was not their refuge. The Lord was their Refuge.’ We, too, as ‘aliens and strangers’ in a world that is passing away, need to learn that our home is not our refuge; ‘God is our Refuge!’ We nurture life in the face of death and leverage our homes for Gospel work. For those whose hope is in the Coming Kingdom, our homes are less like retreats and more like a network of foxholes for planning and hosting Kingdom advances into this present Darkness. Our homes are centers of hospitality to show strangers and neighbors the Light of Christ. And they are equipping centers for traveling ambassadors to help them on their way to doing the King’s business.” ― GLORIA FURMAN, Missional Motherhood: The Everyday Ministry of Motherhood in the Grand Plan of God, 2016; edited
COMMENTARY. “‘Behold the eye of the Lord,’ &c. — Whosoever therefore would have safety must expect it only from the watchful eye and almighty hand of God. ‘Is upon them that FEAR Him’ —These are the chief objects of His care and favour. ‘Upon them that hope in His mercy’ —That place their hope, and trust, and happiness, not in any creature, but only in God and in His mercy and blessings.
‘To deliver their soul from death’ — That is, their life, when He sees it to be expedient for them: For sometimes it is better for them to die than to live, as both good and bad men have declared; and when it is so, it is known to God, but not to us. And therefore, the constant accomplishment of this and the like Promises, in a literal sense, is not to be expected nor simply desired, except with submission to God’s wise and gracious will.” – JOSEPH BENSON, Notes on the Holy Bible, 5 vols., 1811-1818; edited
DK’S TAKE. In a single week recently, I received Death Threats 74-75 (“Antichrist Trump’s guns are coming for you, Clifford”) on my YouTube channel, plus a third warning from a local Calvary Chapel “Pastor Tracy” that he was showing my picture to his security team because I carry a sidearm. This because of my conviction that Trump is the Antichrist that persuades this high school graduate shepherd that I am a “lunatic” and am barred from his church campus.
‘Play Church is done, beloved!’ Long gone. Or as the Spirit spoke it to me in my mother’s native tongue in June 2021 on the morning of my first Circuit Ride: “¡Se acabó!” – “It’s over, finished!”
THE REALITIES. Though the vast majority of American Shepherds do not believe by their conduct what follows, here is where we are.
- These are the Last Hours spoken of by the Law, the Prophets, the Messiah and the Apostles (1 John 2:18), therefore our time is severely restricted.
- The First Seal of Revelation 6 has been opened, with the Antichrist now riding forth “conquering and to conquer” (vv. 1-2), but not yet by military force (that comes a bit later).
- President Donald Trump is that “Man of Sin, the Lawless One” who shall destroy all Constitutional freedoms and the International Order, and continue to pollute Church Doctrine with his pernicious Christian Nationalism “doctrine of demons.”
- All TRUE Christians will be persecuted; first by harassment, then by stripping their freedoms, later hunted down and finally either incarcerated or killed.
It frankly matters little to me anymore if you personally believe any of this. But it does matter a great deal that you and I who do believe continue to warn others about This Present Darkness, and labor to snatch some from The Fire.
And that we shall thereby receive an Honorable Accounting before our Soon Coming King Jesus. Now that matters, beloved! Selah.
